The Pharmacy never answers. Always wait 10-15 minutes and give up. End up having to go in person.

These people could care less about the customers. It's awful. Slow, rude and careless. The workers are snowflakes that cannot be hurried. As someone who spends thousands on prescriptions, it's annoying how poor the service is. Will be transferring my meds elsewhere. read more

Last time subjecting myself to their incompetence. All of a sudden, they don't have my insurance on record (9 months into the year) so I physically took it in and personally handed it to the older woman with the dyed blue hair. Within the next few days, I received a text saying I can pu the script, then 2 more texts saying they need my insurance. I went back to Los Mares and gave the same woman my info again....she proceeded to LIE to me, to my face, and said that they were old texts (only an hour prior!) and that the text has the phone number to the CVS in Target which I used recently for a shot - that they are the ones that need my info. OMG - They share the same computer! The text had Los Mares phone number on it. The CVS Target told me they need nothing..... We will NEVER use the pharmacy at CVS Los Mares again! read more

I have shopped at this CVS for over 15 years and have always received great service. I especially want to single out the woman who works in the cosmetic/skin care section. I believe her name is Chela or Chale and has worked there for 12 years. She's impressively knowledgeable about all the products and pros and cons of each. I no longer buy my products at department stores because I will learn more and get the right product for my needs because of her. read more

Terrible! Long lines, hours on hold, phone system music and constant nagging COVID vaccine messages every 40 seconds makes me want to scream! App is not in sync with the pharmacy or delivery processes, frustrated employees, and cancelled deliveries with no reason. CVS senior management should be ashamed! Barely a 3, but they've got what you need. We've used CVS for a long time prior to moving to San Clemente. And to be honest the only reason we're continuing to use the San Clemente CVS is because our account is there. It's not that the product are bad or the people.. they've all been great! It's just such a poor location in my opinion. The grounds are not kept well, there are typically sketchy looking people hanging around and the drive through sucks. Good luck being able to reach anything the drive through window has to offer and you are guaranteed to touch the sidewalls of your tires to their curb. It looks and feels like an afterthought that was half baked. Sorry CVS, but you've really got some work to do here. read more

CVS Pharmacy - Front - Drugstores Near Me - SAN CLEMENTE, California

Let me get one thing out, unless the pharmacists and their assistants personally care about or know you from somewhere, you're going to get an "okay to below average experience" and that goes pretty much for every pharmacy. With that said, I'm rating CVS for the shopping I do there whenever I need to wait around for my prescription to be filled. CVS has a lot of stuff; chewy chocolate chips, lipstick, birthday cards, toys, Halloween decor, and small grocery items. Sometimes they even have stuff on sale as much as 50% off on 2nd item. I usually try to check the makeup aisle and see if anything is on sale. I did last minute shopping here for a birthday card and to throw together a birthday present. The aisles are organized and the store is clean. One thing I didn't like was a cashier on the night shift judging me on my personal purchases (Plan B over the counter), which by the way, I wasn't even buying for myself. But it doesn't matter what I'm buying and who they're for, I shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable or feel like I need to explain anything when trying to buy something. They do have self check out counters here (+1 star for that alone) but it seems that it is only available during the day. read more

He then threw some items on the counter in an intimidating way right before he sarcastically told all the customers waiting in line, "we have automated check-out, it is 2020!" Carie, the store manager went ABOVE and beyond to help me get my son's prescriptions when the system hadn't finished processing and they were closing. She stayed to make sure that everyone already in line before the pharmacy closed, got their prescriptions filled. It's actually amazing how bad this place is, how checked out and rude the employees are, and how inefficiently it runs.

CARRIE is such a RUDE person!!! oh my god! i'm pretty sure she's just a racist honestly. my boyfriend was in there today and she was being so mean to him because he was trying to use a coupon. when it wouldn't go through he tried to just void the item and not purchase it. she made such a huge deal about it like it was the most inconvenient thing ever and even swore in front of him saying "jesus f--- christ" i went in there shortly after to get her name because that is unacceptable on all levels. she wasn't the one to ring me up, but lisa was. lisa was a sweetheart and i got CARRIEs name from her. in line, i overheard CARRIE trying to ring up another woman but CARRIE was being very impatient and condescending. while i as at Lisa's register, a white woman and her daughters were with CARRIE with no problems. Like i get that customer service isn't fun but you don't get to be mean to the customers. also i think it's a weird coincidence how she was disrespectful towards my middle eastern boyfriend and the asian woman in front of me, but not to the white woman. read more

Zero help this store needs at least 2-3 more employees at all times. Called was put on hold 3x and held patiently for over 30 minutes with no complaints when a kid picks up and says the lines a mile long you'd be better off just checking yourself. Umm ok I'll order on amazon thanks for nothing I try to support San Clemente when possible but if you are not going to adequately staff your stores I feel as if I'm only supporting super poorly run corporations. So this Minute Clinic is quite the joke! What a money grab and the parent child tone used to try to explain their lame set up is such a testament to the degradation of service that now exists in the post covid world. The clinic is in the back of the store.........totally empty and the testing is outside around the back with a guy that is more concerned about his hermitization than performing a test. It is obvious their set up is not clear and people get confused even with all their lame signs that assume that every person understands the medical terminology, but alas a condescending adult employed by the Minute Clinc will counsel you dumb sh!ts on what the medical words mean and how to navigate their lame set up. Hey thanks! There was an attempted recovery from the female version of Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory, calling my daughter beautiful......so I guess I do appreciate her version of trying to be nice after being so clearly irritated with us dumb sh!ts. To her credit she did try to talk us out of the useless "antibody" test that this clinic gives which tells you nothing conclusive for 69 dollars and they know it so another brownie point for trying to be honest and trying to convince us to go to Quest for a more accurate test. I'll go from zero starts to two for honesty. I do feel sorry for the elderly (especially the lady I witnessed) dealing with the people who work here, no empathy at all for them trying to navigate this poorly designed money grab set up that hires the entitled individuals with a superiority complex. However, all is not lost on this interesting experience as this was a great learning experience for my daughter to witness firsthand the following: 1. A poorly designed set up 2. How it sounds to be talked to like you are a dumb sh!t by a person pretending to be borderline polite (even the dumb sh!ts know when you are treating them like dumb sh!ts) 3. What a truly lazy worker looks like (dude in the back behind the store in his little booth, just go home your effort is so meager) 4. What someone sounds like who has to be right (I mean there are signs all over the store) 5. How NOT to treat the elderly 6. What is sounds like when you know you are ripping people off but that is your job and your hands are tied 7. How flawed our entire covid testing program is 8. How the poor get taken advantage of by this testing money grab At the end of the day, the experience provided a good lesson for my family, I sure hope that elderly woman gets help from someone who can treat her with dignity and respect moving forward. read more

My child had an emergency allergic reaction and we went to the hospital. We got Children's Benadryl in the ER but it wore off at 2am after we were home. After the hives and itching came back and my poor baby couldn't handle it anymore, I drove to this CVS at 4am to get some Children's Benadryl, specifically because their hours said open 24hrs. Absolutely disappointing when there's a little sign on their closed door that said they are closed and they will open again at 6am. But the giant permanent sign on their building says open 24 hours. Did someone call out from their shift? That's what managers are for. Suck it up and get out of bed and pull the double shift all nighter. Your doctors and nurses and firefighters and peace officers and emts and truck drivers and GAS STATION clerks are doing it every single day. Nadine, in addition to all the exceptional staff, have been the best of best! Everyone must realize how important your job is, in addition to the due diligence they must have, and they do this for us! For the love of Joseph, don't come crying in that CVS wanted about your piss ass insurance, have you got a problem with your insurance you figure it out! This Pharmacy is awful. They are overworked and inattentive. I have had multiple prescriptions filled incorrectly or not at all due to the negligence of the pharmacists. The only thing they do here correctly is immunizations. I am stuck with them due to my insurance but I'd change in a heartbeat if possible. The latest irritation is the phone to CVS doesn't work. You cannot get through to a person through any means which means getting any help is completely gone. I had to drive there today to get them to send something to my doctor. And when I told the clearly that 'really there is something wrong with the phones' he said "Oh yey, a lot of people have said that." What an idiotic response. The phones still aren't working. This review is for the Minute Clinic inside CVS. FIVE THOUSAND STARS!!!!!! such a lifesaver. I came here because this was the closest urgent care to me, I showed up promptly after 10am. The kiosk was self explanatory and easy to check in at. Nurse practitioner Tonya came and helped and older woman use it after I was done. I could tell right away she had such a sweet understanding nature. The office visit went very well, I told her my symptoms. She was able to diagnose quickly and sent my prescriptions over to the pharmacy. From walk in to leaving with my prescriptions it took me about 44 min. I would recommend this place to anyone. They can't treat serious medical emergencies but for little things that need urgent treatment, total lifesaver. I'm so happy. read more

No matter how many times I have to phone this place and restate changes or details to my account they still mess up. It's like they don't update any information you relay to them. On top of that, multiple times I've had my prescription completely messed up (a very simple and common one, that's repeated every month). Even better, they blame the customer and can't accept responsibility for their own mistakes. So frustrated with this place I switched to another pharmacy. Terrible!! read more

Waited on hold for 1 hour two days in a row. My son had a prescription on back order for almost a week and no one bothered to call to tell me it was not in nor that it was not coming in. Every day it was promised the next day. This pharmacy has management issues. I've since changed pharmacies to another cvs and am very happy. Will not be going here again. Dear CVS, Since I have stopped thinking of you as a pharmacy, we actually have gotten along ok. You always have a large selection of NyQuill and any old cold remedy I need. When I had to bandage my doggie's foot, you had cool tape and gauze and bandages. You always have lots of neat smelling lotions and potions for me to spend money I don't have on. You always have last minute Halloween candy or stocking stuffers or wine for a hostess gift. You have a lovely selection of greeting cards. Since you are open 24 hours, I can get any of the above stuff whenever I want. Basically...if i don't take inconsistent customer service into account, I can just be happy that you have craploads of stuff. And really, since you are down the street from my house, that is all I need. Your pharmacy sucks, and since switching to Costco, I will never go back to you. Especially after the last incident of transferring my prescription to Las Vegas (you know what I'm talking about). Glad we can agree to disagree, and I can just take advantage of your merchandise. I visited this pharmacy 3 times in the past 2 days....we are on the road to becoming BFFs. I work at a rehab, obviously we deal with a lot of medications. 3 patients had to pick up medications from here the past 2 days....and since this is the only 24 hour pharmacy that I know in the area, I can visit them at 11pm (when a patient ran out of sleeping meds, and needed them THAT night) or at 7:30am when another patient had run out of anti depressants and can't function during the day without them. Sigh. This pharmacy has always been efficient for me. They are nice on the phone, always have the medication I called in ready within an hour after I called them. Nice staff when I go pick up the meds. I personally have never had a problem with the pharmacy here, but tonight when I went to go pick up some meds for a patient, I witnessed two people yelling at the people working at the pharmacy in a matter of 15 minutes. They were obviously not happy about something. And that's not good in my eyes. As for the rest of the store--they have everything that you could want or need for a quick stop. They have some food, make up, alcohol, holiday decorations, toiletries, toys, books, magazines....you name it, they will most likely have it in one. Staff is decent, it's a hit or miss with service. Pharmacy puts you on hold to talk to person. After a while they disconnected the call. This happened not once but every time you want to talk to pharmacy personnel it happens. Easiest way is to say you are calling from doctors office. There is no choice as CVS is preferred pharmacy. read more

Slow, irritated, incompetent, people. Never trust the automated phone system because it will always say, "yes your order is ready" then you get there and "no, you're order isn't ready" (with attitude) then they'll offer to order it for you and you can wait for an hour; but they really mean 1 1/2-2 hours, finally you hear your name get paged and NOPE still not ready we just have a question for you before we begin filling it. UGH So, always call and ask to speak with someone before going in (that's at least a 30 min call) then Go in and prepare to stand in line for 30 min. That's the best you can expect, but prepare for it to not go that smoothly! This facility is understaffed and the employees that do work there are overwhelmed and angry. read more

Pharmacy is very slow and very unreliable; same can be said with the staff, they don't know much about their own store and have very little information. Only positive experience I've had in the 10+ years of going here was leaving my wallet on the self-checkout counter at 2am and having it retrieved from lost and found the next morning :)! It was the first time I saw the orangish colored hair manager and he was very kind and professional whilst verifying my information to give me the wallet! read more

Typically CVS is good. Yesterday and today I have to say that the person al attention and the desire of one employee at the San Clemente Camino los mares location has stood out above many. Her name is Diema sp? She went over what was expected. I was looking for the proper cvs shaving blades and was confused due to not being able to see and match up the blades to my fusion. Diema was so curtious and helpful it just made my day. I went back today because I chose the incorrect one despite Diema's suggestion. She was correct and I want to say if more employees were like diema and had her positive attitude and great sense of humor the world would be a much better place. I've been going to this CVS for about 3 years, most of the time it's been mediocre with the occasional pleasant experience. However, today was a new low. I am prescribed a controlled substance, and have been for a very long time. I hate picking it up and will use the drive through or go at times when it's not busy just because they might yell the name of the med out loud and its embarrassing. Sometimes I'll have someone else pick it up. Today they told my friend that they wouldn't fill my prescription because my doc wasn't in the area (he's in Orange, near my work!!) I can't prove it but it certainly feels like they are not filling a legitimate prescription because they don't like the way my large, Mexican, heavily tattooed, friend looks. I don't know, it's just very bothersome. Go to Rite Aide. read more

Terrble pharmacy services. I specifically told them I wanted my RX to be filled despite insurance problems since I need them. I asked the tech twice to make sure that it's getting filled anyways and he responded in the affirmative and gave me a wait time of 15 minutes. He told me to go over to the drop off desk to sort out the insurance debacle. I did that and all the tech there did was tell me to call insurance. Well, insurance isn't open on weekends and of course I'm going to have to straighten this out with the insurance company - CVS can't do anything about it anyway. So I wait, I go grab coffee and run to the bank across the street. It's been more than 15 minutes so I go to the pick up window and ask if my RX is ready. The tech who told me to call my insurance said it's not getting processed because of my insurance issues. Ughhhh. I'm in a time crunch and I need my darn RX. He tells me that he can't process Rx if you have insurance but the insurance isn't covering it. That's absurd and don't give me an ETA of when my Rx is ready if that is the policy! Not returning. ASKED FOR HELP: At the pharmacy, a tall lady with black hair said "I'll call someone," so I waited, then she disappeared... so I tried asking someone else at the cashier, a nicer & shorter lady escorted me to the restroom herself! Next thing you know, I saw that same tall lady with black hair from the pharmacy walk out of the restroom! ::sighs:: I guessed after she graduated pharmacy school she lost the capability or neurons from her brain to know how to simply help others... Anyways, I come here every so often - sometimes for snacks for the movies, or eye contact solution, or something else haha. It usually is a random visit for something random. I am so upset. We've been trying to get my sons prescription all week. We've been lied to you over and over about when it will be ready. His doctor faxed it in on Saturday. I tried to pick it up Saturday and was told it wasn't ready and to come back the next day. I went again on Sunday and was told it still wasn't ready and to come back later in the day. So I tried again Sunday night and I'm told they never received it. I was annoyed that they wasted two days before telling me that but I bit my tongue and called his doctor to resend it. She resent it Monday morning. My husband went to pick it up Monday at 8am. It was right when they were opening so they told him to wait 10 minutes while they filled it. After waiting for it, they then told him it's "on order" and would be ready anytime after 12:00. So then I went back again Monday afternoon and they told me it wasn't in stock but they had ordered it and it would be coming in the next day. On Tuesday I drove there again and of course it wasn't ready and again the excuse was that their delivery was coming in the next morning, I guess they forgot they had already used that excuse the day before and told me the delivery was coming in the previous day. Now it's Wednesday and my husband went to go get it. They had the nerve to tell him it wasn't ready yet. He told them how many times they've told us that this week and then she changed her story to say it was on backorder! At this point he got upset so she says she will check with the pharmacist. After a few minutes the "backordered" drug MIRACULOUSLY appeared! I would also like to point out that each of the 7 times we drove to CVS to pick this up we had to wait in two separate lines- since the pickup line can't tell you what's going on and the order line can't tell you if its ready. It's seems that they tell you your drug is on order as a tactic to get rid of you when they are busy. They rob you of your choice to go get it elsewhere since they make u feel like it's about to be filled. Our son has severe medical and psychiatric disabilities and he has been feeling AWFUL for a week because CVS strung us along instead of being honest and given us the opportunity to go elsewhere. read more
