Worst service I have ever experienced. Every time you go you have to wait in line for at least 15 minutes because no one can ever find anything. If you ever have a question you just get shuffled around until you're so fed up you have to walk out. And then to top it all off, when you call on the phone the man who usually answers is a horrible, horrible person. I just was hung up on twice before I could even ask my question and then YELLED AT for nicely asking them to send a form to my physician. He claimed there was no such form and when I asked if maybe I was just calling it the wrong name and asked if he could help me figure out what I needed he all but told me shut up and then hung up on me. I've been buying my meds at this pharmacy for over a year. They are always short staffed. Several times it has taken 3 DAYS to get my prescription. THREE DAYS. This is crazy. The staff is usually quite competent and nice, but there aren't nearly enough personnel and this have gone on for over a year. This is a chronic problem that should have been fixed. CVS must have a very low opinion of both their pharmacy staff and their customers to offer such pathetic service. I'm switching to another pharmacy. read more

I want to like this pharmacy - it's clean, bright, has a great selection, and I like how automatic prescription refill process works. BUT - the people in the pharmacy are so unfriendly, not customer oriented, and generally behave as though customers are a nuisance. To reiterate someone's point below - when you're not feeling well, the last thing you need to deal with are unfriendly "service" people, who don't make eye contact, say hello or even thank you once your transaction is complete. I'm not looking to make friends with these people, I just want a pleasant, human interaction. read more

Service is consistently bad. My doctor sends prescriptions directly to them and no matter how long i wait to pick it up (hours, next day...) it is never ready and have to come back in :15 minutes. Only one person at pickup and I had to wait 10+ min just to find out I have to wait another 15 and stand in line again. Going to switch to Walgreen's next time. read more

The store itself is great - clean, light lots of great merchandise and a variety of products. The pharmacy is a different story. The staff that work at the pharmacy are rude and unpleasant. I will admit they are probably overworked and under the gun but when you go there and are already not feeling well the last thing you need is a pharmacist who is unpleasant and less than helpful. If I had other options I would absolutely use them. I used to go to walgreens in the city and they were very nice there. too bad they are the only game in town over here. read more

This is regarding the CVS at 880 Redwood Shopping Center, in San Anselmo, CA Treated like crap by Pharmacy staff that is constantly changing...they cannot seem to keep people employed there. Was treated terribly when I was very sick with a bad cough and had ALREADY spent @ $20 on cough medicines which were not working! Doctor called in prescription - which only found out later was not covered!!! How can Robitusun with codeine NOT be covered when it is a necessary drug if all over-the-counter ones failed??? Pharmacist, Kasha, (which sounds more like a cereal than a person) was RUDE, UNCARING, NOT COMPASSIONATE AT ALL...AND, REFUSED TO CALL MY INSURANCE CO. when I requested a medicine that WAS COVERED UNDER my insurance. NO ONE HELPED ME!!!! NO one called or asked if I could have something else....it was the most horrific experience at being sick that I have had in quite awhile...BTW; so sick I had to go to Urgent Care to see Doctor @ 6:00 pm because could not get medicine I needed!!! Terrible service there. I had to wait in two lines. I had a very long wait in the first line, the pharmacy line, to pick up my prescription even though they weren't busy. Then, when it finally was my turn, the clerk who waited on me wouldn't take something I needed to return. So--after picking up my prescription, I had to get in another line at the other end of the store to do the return. The clerk in the second line was obnoxious. I had to spend too much time in that store, and I was treated badly. I'm not a happy camper. read more

This is by far the worst CVS that I've ever dealt with. The Pharmacy is atrocious and is consistently behind in filling prescriptions with the backlog being more than 4 days. God forbid if you were seriously ill!! I have moved my business elsewhere. The overall customer service throughout the store is also bad. Clearly this store needs new management. read more

this store was at one time pleasant , the clerks and pharmacists were friendly, courteous, helpful and the store had most items in good supply. unfortunately all of these factors which made it place I liked to shop have completely changed. The pharmacy, particularly, is most unpleasant and inefficient in numerous ways. The employees are obviously unhappy and overly stressed. I am discontinuing shopping at this store, as it has become impossible for me to get the courteous and efficient service I used to get there. I am changing my prescriptions to Walgreen's, as there is one closeby, in the same shopping center., and they stock the same items as CVS and the prices are slightly better as well. I feel sorry for the people who work at CVS....I am sure they are underpaid as well as being subjected to horrid working conditions. The most God awful pharmacy West of the Mississippi. Go to Walgreens literally 200 yards down the road. I would give my first born child to get back the time I have wasted at this pharmacy. The employees will lie to, they will give you the run around, and they are completely incompetent at their jobs. Do yourself a favor and stab yourself in the eye with a pencil if you ever even think of using this pharmacy. I promise it will cause you less pain. read more

The pharmacy should be shut down. Not only have they somehow amassed the rudest and least compassionate group of people I've ever run across, they yell back and forth about patients info which I imagine is a hippa violation. I gave them more chances than I care to admit because this pharmacy is most convenient but after my experience today I will drive hundreds of miles to avoid those downright mean people. read more

Unfortunately, almost everything that made Longs Drugs a great local drugstore - has been scrapped by the CVS Corporation. Longs Drugs used to let every store manager choose about 30% of the merchandise, so as to tailor their selection to that particular neighborhood, and to buy from local vendors. As soon as CVS took over - all the local greeting cards and any other merchandise that might possibly give a hint that you are in California - let alone in San Anselmo - Marin County, California - was removed from the aisles, end caps and shelves. The shelving itself was cut down by about one third in height. While this does provide a more "open" look - it is because they stock at least a third less merchandise than Longs had. One particular assistant manager at this location is so poor at customer service - and has such a bad attitude - I cannot believe that he is still employed there - and indeed creates an unwelcoming atmosphere there. The three things that prevent me from giving them one star are they have a satisfactory pharmacy, the store is clean and they occasionally have decent sale prices (although they are usually slightly higher on the exact same item than Rite Aid or Walgreens). read more
