The store itself is large, well stocked and in a great location with a lot of parking, but the staff is rude. Also, there are more self check out lanes than cashiers at the front so that is annoying but on to the review: I was using self checkout and following the instructions to place my bag on the self checkout counter when the prompt froze. The associate that helped me didn't look at me, scan their card and then waved her hand at me to to signal that I should remove the bag. I was really taken aback by it, especially since when she was done she said oh it didn't recognize your bag. Sure, but if I'm at self checkout and the prompt tells me to do something and the software and hardware don't connect, is that the customer's fault? I hate late stage capitalism. Anyway, this CVS gets my standard 3 star rating, because they are all just "OK". read more

They stink. They tell you that your prescription will be ready in an hour and 3 hours later they say "we are working on it". They could care less about customers time. No wonder why their stock dropped like a stone. Mark Cuban should put them out of business. read more

This is my local CVS Pharmacy in Rye. I find the staff to be helpful and attentive. Whenever I need a prescription, sent directly by my doctor, I normally receive a text directly to my phone saying the prescription is ready, even before I have time to drive there from my doctor visit to collect the prescription.. All in all, a very convenient and efficient local pharmacy providing good efficient service. read more

Stopped in here after dark on the way to my hotel to pick up some Sudafed for my congested head, as well as some bottled water, V-8 juice, and some snacks. Check out was quick and easy. I almost passed this place by - the exterior CVS signs were not turned on - it made it look as if the place was closed. I advised the person who rang me up that the signs were off and it looked as if they were closed. read more

This is my go to CVS in the area. It's the closest one to me, it's clean, and they have a large selection of items. I've noticed lately that they always seem to run out of the item I come there specifically to buy. Not all the time, but often enough that I'm wondering if there's some sort of conspiracy going on, here. They have both the self check-out machines and cashiers working the register. Pretty convenient on the days you don't want to wait on a line--which essentially doesn't exist here. Best one in the nearby vicinity. read more

I tried to fill a script at the pharmacy recently, and it took 2 visits and 2 hours for the head pharmacist to deny my doctor's prescription. The first visit, they outright lied and said my insurance would not cover my meds. Upon clearing this up with my insurance claims agent and doctor, they then spent the next hour saying they needed to adjust their system. Finally, the pharmacist decided to let me know she was denying to fill my doctor's script because it was a schedule II (which I have been taking for years) and she did not agree on the dosage I was being prescribed. If they had an issue with my medication, they could have at the very least told me straight off that they were uncomfortable filling it instead of lying to me and wasting my entire day. Simply the most terrible pharmacy I have ever experienced, Do yourself a favor and go to a small, independently owned pharmacy, like Rye Beach Pharmacy or Greenwich Pharmacy. read more

a. Pharmacy is ok. I go there for convenience. b. They moved the two handicapped spots away from the front of the store to across the parking lot so I guess they can get 1 more spot out of it and therefore one more customer. I guess legally they had to have 3 spots so they stuck the handicapped people out of the way. Too bad for them. c. Today I bought a two liter bottle of soda and a few other things. The store uses the cheapest paper bags possible (I have heard other complaints). Checkout woman stuffed everything into the bag. Went to put it into car and the soda broke through the bottom and rolled down the parking lot several cars to under a parked car. I went inside and told them. They replaced soda with a scowl and said that I needed to hold the bag by the bottom. Can you imagine? Just a nasty attitude. read more

I work across the street and come here almost everyday to get a soda or snack since there is no other place to do so. And almost every day the girl that opens the store shows up at least 10 minutes late. Right now it's 720am. I'm sitting outside with my buddy about to be late to work waiting for someone to show up and open the store. How hard is it to show up to work on time? Cvs can't find someone else in this whole town willing to set an alarm? Update.. it's 750am now. Still nobody there. read more

I'm a teen and I was just out at CVS Rye. With two of my friends. While looking at something I was considering buying, a worker with bleached hair came up to me and my friends while we were simply laughing at a joke they had made, and asked us to leave immediately. He said that his boss told us to leave. I find it incredibly rude that I am kicked out of my own community for simply laughing. Incredibly disrespectful as everyone in my surroundings were completely satisfied with our presence. I go to CVS quite often and I am considering never returning due to utter rudeness and impatience. I was considering buying something that I really needed, but they decided to ruin their chance of getting my money by throwing me out of the place that I used to call home. I've lived in Rye my whole life and have never been treated with so much disrespect. Even my grandparents grew up here and I felt some hostility thrown at myself while attempting to complete a shopping experience. read more

The location of this store is great and my partner and I visit this site regularly. That said the check out system can be spotty and annoying and the last time we visited the lady behind the counter was so rude. The practically blamed my partner and I for the error at the self check out and was this site not so close to us we'd consider going back there again. But the stock is vast and this site has proven a life saver in the past offering everything from medical to home items. read more

I go to this pharmacy often because it's close to my son's school. Today, I parked there to buy diapers, but prior to going into the store, I went across the street to buy a coffee, which took me literally 12 minutes. After I went into CVS and bought $50 dollars worth of things, I noticed I had boots on my car's tire. Apparently I was not supposed to leave the premises of CVS or I'd be towed. I had to pay $70 dollars to get the boots off. The towing company was extremely rude and didn't provide any receipt - and only accepted cash. The whole thing was kind of ridiculous. I understand they don't want people using their parking lot, but it didn't take me more than 30 minutes to buy my coffee and shop at CVS. They certainly lost a costumer here. I'll NEVER go back to this store. read more

My experience shopping at this particular CVS by far exceeded my experiences in other CVS's in the areas I frequent. While shopping I was asked by two different employees if I needed any help. This has never happened in any other CVS I have shopped in! Not only were Joe and Daniel (if I remember correctly) polite, they provided great customer service and were extremely helpful. Any time I am in the area I will be sure to visit this CVS. Also I am a big fan of the self-checkouts this store has! Perhaps if they add these to more CVS locations the lines would not be such a hassle. read more
