Zero stars should be an option. Wait times, long lines, terrible set up in-store. Why can't CVS figure this out?!?

This is a review for fedex onsite at this location. I dropped off my international parcel last…read morefriday and realized that the parcel is still at the same location 4 days later on monday. I just moved to roseville and was testing out my first international shipping so everything was new for me. I thought i should let people know to please drop youre parcels off directly at fedex office (rocklin location is probably the nearest) instead of the "fedex onsite" locations especially if you have paid for same-day or overnight shipping, or you sell things online. They also turned away another customer with packages weighing more than 20 lbs. Not sure if this is known but here you go! I asked 2 different staff regarding frequency of fedex parcel pick up from walgreens; one mentioned fedex picks up the parcels twice a day, and another mentioned he doesn't know when fedex picks up or don't. I think the actual frequency is probably somewhere in the middle. To the staff credit, they have always been very nice, they do pick up calls and will help retrieve your parcels so you can move it to another fedex location so parcel gets moved within the day. So 2 stars!

I refill my prescriptions in advance of needing them. Days later... they're still "in progress"…read more That means they are not ready for me to pick up and I have to call. As soon as I call, (which means waiting on hold for 20-30 minutes) they immediately process it. There is no reason for me to have to call and sit on hold. I AM TRANSFERRING TO CVS... hopefully they run more smoothly than Walgreens.

Update: Things have improved--at least somewhat--since my original review. I've still got…read moreflashbacks of waiting weeks for a common prescription, but I've discovered the secret sauce: use the CVS app. Pro tip: Through the app, you can actually request a callback instead of sitting on hold until you age into your next prescription (I once spent 45 minutes waiting for someone to pick up--no joke, that actually happened). It also makes prescription tracking and communication a lot smoother. Honestly, the app has saved me a ton of frustration and cut down on the mystery of when (or if) something will be ready. The staff here is still friendly (that hasn't changed), and while I wouldn't exactly call the service lightning-fast, it's become more manageable now that I know how to navigate the system a bit better. Not a glowing endorsement--but a more balanced one. If you use the app, you'll likely have a better experience than I did the first few times around.

If Dante had rewritten The Inferno in 2026, CVS Pharmacy would be one of the circles of hell…read more I'm standing in line, again, at 7:00 p.m., behind at least nine other customers, half of whom are actively coughing up a Petri dish of flu, COVID, and seasonal bronchitis while the rest of us marinate in it. Staffing? Never appropriate. One pharmacist. One tech. No urgency. No apology. Just inertia and viral load. The real issue isn't just the wait. It's the philosophy of the place. Somewhere along the way, pharmacists went from trained dispensers of medication to self-appointed judges, jury, and executioners of care. I respect the rigor of a PharmD program, but the job is to fill prescriptions safely and accurately, not to become an uncompensated extension of the insurance industry or to act as bouncers at the gate of medical access. Today, like every day, it's a bureaucratic gauntlet: prior authorizations, insurance denials, random policy flags, "state law" this, "federal regulation" that, all wrapped in the magical CVS clause of we can deny you for any reason, with no recourse. What I need: my blood pressure meds. What I get: friction, judgment, and delay. CVS claims the pharmacy isn't profitable? Then don't run one. If a multibillion-dollar company can't make the numbers work, then the problem is leadership, not margins. Fire the board. Replace the CEO. But don't weaponize inefficiency and call it healthcare. Worst of all: this isn't just my experience. It's everybody's. Every person in line is dealing with an issue. I've seen nothing but confusion, confrontations, and people leaving empty-handed or worse, angry and still sick. This isn't healthcare. It's hostile indifference. And it's baked into the system.

This is the slowest, rudest pharmacy I have ever been to. Every single time that I have been here…read moreover the 10 years of living in the area they are not kind or helpful. The last thing you want when you are sick with a fever is to stand in line waiting for a prescription. Then when you get to the front they're rude and have zero urgency it makes things worse. I have never had a good experience here. Just recently I waited 65 minutes (while sick) in line while everyone behind the counter worked on one order. I was second in line. I've been to other Safeway pharmacies in the area that are kind, nice and efficient. This place is terrible! Avoid at all costs!!!!

The gentleman was not actually standing in line, I was and he proceeded to stand behind me looking embarrassed. Than when it was my turn, she took the man behind me first. If that wasn't bad enough, I had asked the Pharmacist why the charge for my prescription as I was trying to be honest that my Medicare Prescription Part D wasnt effective until May 1, and wanted to know if this was an in house discount that the pharmacy has given before. Again she became argumentative hence I proceeded to show her my prescription card from WellCare Rx (Medicare) looked at it and said she had never seen this Co before lol. The Pharmacist did not bother to check the numbers on my card vs what she had or have one of her Techs look it up! I've had issues with the Staff at this pharmacy before, and this was it for me. Had to call another Safeway Pharmacy, explain my situation, to which they answered in depth my question and said next time I have a prescription filled at their pharmacy, they will take my card and make sure everything is okay.

I've been coming here for almost a year. And am on the verge of switching out. Everytime there is…read morealways an issue with a prescription. Never in my life have I experienced this. They will literally make you go without your medication because the pharmacist thinks their the Dr and knows best , when all their doing is counting my prescription and putting it in the bottle! I've had to go without my medication which like the review below said, they are going to kill someone and it could have if I didn't gotten hospital. Another time I threatened to go to the board because she said it wasn't "time yet to get it,,even tho I was going out of town and my dr confirmed it. I' work out of town alot, and they have even asked me "where are you going?" Which I feel like isn't anyone's business where I'm going out of town. It's my confidentiality last week I called before I was out to prevent me going without and there was an issue . They "never for my prescription" and then again today, they said October 10 for fill. I'm like what do u mean? That means I'd be going without my meds for 10 days! And they looked into it and had to fix it so I pick up today. I've been discriminated on because "I should have still had some and she was concerned" when I need my script a day early to leave town. Which I would have gotten a monthly supply but they only had enough for 2 weeks so I had to get the remaining when they let me.

On Monday, I underwent spinal fusion surgery. By Tuesday, post-op pain spiked, so my surgeon…read moreordered stronger pain meds. Safeway refused to fill the stronger prescription unless I returned the narcotics they'd dispensed earlier, despite me explaining I was barely mobile post-op. Clerk (tech?) Lisa claimed it was a California Board of Pharmacy requirement, then backtracked, saying my surgeon's office required it. She was wrong on both counts. The Board has no such requirement, and my surgeon later confirmed he made no such demand. Lisa's attitude was next-level: she told me it was for my own good and wanted to know if I had Narcan on hand. I asked that they go ahead and fill the Rx and my husband would return the other prescription. She said they would not fill it until the other prescription was returned, meaning my husband had to sit around and wait. l asked Lisa to have the District Manager (Jig Patel) call me (twice) during the conversation. Lisa was quick to assure me the District Manager would, "back us 100%." Perhaps she knows this from experience. It has been nine days. No call. I've filed a complaint with the CA Board of Pharmacy and (shortly) with the DEA. Not only did Safeway break both state and federal law with respect to dispensing medication, they usurped my physicians' medical decision-making and interfered in patient care. I wonder how many other patients have had their postoperative care compromised by a pharmacy clerk. Scary thought. I also wonder how many narcotics they collect this way, and what they do with them. I'm sure there California Board of Pharmacy and the DEA will find out.
