This review is for the CVS store and pharmacy on S Oyster Bay Road in Plainview on the south east corner of Woodbury Rd. I had stopped using Walgreens in Hicksville due to crazy Pharmacy prices, a bs annual prescription plan and bad customer service. My mother is a nonagerian who has had a frequent need for multiple prescriptions and remedies over the years. This store which is next to the Trader Joe's was a pleasure to visit in 2022 and 2023. My last 2 visits were a month apart in April and June of 2025 and this is what I observed : 1) The store was cluttered and unorganized. 2) CVS had an employee contest to sign up new CVS ExtraCare Plus members and 2 of the newer employees forgot about cs and the big picture as they focused on 2 potential customers forgetting about us waiting in line as they used the self check out registers with no one manning the actual front counter. 3) Infighting and rudeness amongst these employees. 4) Non working 1 hour photo service and the employees shrugging their shoulders stating they had no idea about how long it would take. 5) This is non store specific and overall feedback. The VIP program via the CVS ExtraCare Plus at a cost of $5 per month giving us $10 to get anything from the store every month is limited to fewer items now. read more

Convenient location in the Plainview Centre Mall for a CVS Pharmacy. There is ample parking shared with all the other shops in the area. Very convenient for when I am in the area and need to pick up something from CVS. Great to have the app, send coupons to the app (saves paper coupons) . Easy to find what I need when I am here and use self-checkout all the time. Easy peasy check out. No lines when I come here. Love it! Look for the weekly sales and extra coupons in email, the app and in the mail. read more

This is a very clean establishment as seen in the photo I in included. The staff are helpful and friendly. I came here for a specific item that I have a 40% off, but unfortunately forgot my little card. It might have been connected to an old phone number that I do not remember now. Unfortunately, they don't connect it to the email address that they send me coupons. Oh well! But I still would like to praise the staff who diligently helped me to try! read more

The worst customer service ever. After waiting and leaving 2 prior times, I Waited on line for 1 hour to pick up a prescription at pharmacy. The prescription was ready. One person at the register, as slow as possible. 3 people behind the counter watching the pharmacists fill prescriptions. Person at the register was trying. The other 3 behind the area, rude and condescending when I asked for assistance at the register. They just didn't want to work. Several people on the line had left because the line was so long that they also came back. There was no store manager, as I asked several times. The cvs front of the store customer service was not helpful and walked away from me when I asked for help. Horrible service. Get your prescriptions somewhere else. This place needs mangers visible, and responsible. Store is a mess and they are not organized. read more

CVS is the number one place to buy all your pharmaceutical products. Fair pricing and accommodating when needed. Plus, our medical insurance for prescriptions is with CVS. The only problem I have with CVS is the wait time at their pharmacy. It almost seems that they do not have enough people working the counter. I usually never had a problem filling prescriptions there. Been going there for 12 years. There's a new young woman pharmacist. She has a bad attitude. I just had an operation snd needed my pain meds. I called to see if it was ready and I was on hold 40 minutes. 40!!!!!! Then I got this nasty pharmacist telling me the script wasn't filled. The worst Pharmacy ever. Hires the RUDEST customer services representatives. I had to transfer over from Walgreens to CVS (only due to Insurance changes) and was out of my medication. On asking by when they will be able to collect the medication as it is mandatory medication I need everyday--the person on the phone mentioned that they will get it done when they can as they are very busy- For real ??? No time commitment and zero empathy towards a patient who is trying to get their medication. Avoid at all costs if you can !!! read more

Nobody answers the phones and it's chaotic in the store. There are pills on the floor in the back and bags in baskets all over the place. CVS should not understaff this location, like it is doing. I had to keep going onto the consultation line to get my order correct, because they didn't fix it the first time. I use this place to pick up my script multiple times a month. I use this one because they're better than the other cvs I used to use which was even worse than this place. The pharmacy ALWAYS leaves meds out almost every time I visit there which is at least twice a month. Then, when I call to tell them they left something out they never apologize for the inconvenience of having to go back there. I guess it's on me to bring a list with me of long 5 syllable medication names to hold up the line and go down the list to make sure nothing is forgotten so I guess I'm the one that's in the wrong, right? Wait, isn't it their job to fill the medication? Obviously it's too much to to ask that all my medications are included. The middle aged white lady gives me an attitude every time I go in. This is what happens when corporations take over and smaller family businesses suffer. You get run of the mill high school drop outs filling your medications and then giving you attitude because they can get away with it because they're the ones filling your medications so you're in their hands. This country is going to hell. Soon there won't be any stores to visit, it'll just be big warehouses and lines of delivery people. Can someone please explain to me why EVERYTIME I try to refill my prescription I get an issue and a fight because they dont know how to use their computer system. Very, very bad business practice. Very rude staff. They tried every trick in the wold not to give me the name brand medicine that my physician prescribed for me. My insurance even give them pre-authorization. After two weeks of lying to me about not getting pre-authorization, they called and said the medicine is ready for pickup. When I got there, they gave me a generic brand which I did not want. They had the nerve to tell me that's the same medicine as my physician had prescribed. They are scanning innocent people. Do not ever attempt to call the pharmacy here. Perpetual HOLD that make you wonder if they even have a phone. You can get stupid CVS messages over and over but you can't get a person to answer the phone. You can also get hung up on while you are on hold. I've been coming here for over 30 years. I'm not sure what has happened in the past 3 years but it's time to find a new pharmacy. my daughter had oral surgery this morning. the doctor called in two prescriptions at 9am. it is now 12:30 pm and my husband has been there for an hour still waiting on one. Customer service running around like chickens without a head. I was there last month for over 20 minutes because they couldn't find my second prescription. It's just insane. Staff here is rude and incompetent. I came to the store on a Saturday to fill my rx. Was told they didn't have my brand and it would have to be ordered. Come back on Monday. No problem. Show up Monday and told they don't have my rx. The person who told me they could order the rx was wrong (this is a new person) and that they're going to have to re order it from someone else. No one called to tell me this prior. They just waited till I showed up, made me wait then talked to me like I was bothering them. At one point the woman stopped talking to me and was doing something on the computer for 5mins before I interrupted and asked if I needed additional info since she didn't end our conversation. She said she'll call me when she knows (not sure what that means but she just walked away). Surprise, she didn't. I called back later in the day and was told the medication was ordered and it'll be ready the next day. Fine. Next day I get a VM. Your order is not on site and we will have to place an order to fill it. Well let you know. I call to figure out what's going on and get a new third person who talked to me with a F U attitude before I even started speaking. Originally she told me the medication was out of stock without looking up my case or trying to find out why I was calling. After I explained and held on the phone for 10mins she came back, again talking to me like I was annoying her, and said that it was ordered incorrectly and they don't have it. They can order it again and maybe they'll get it tomorrow if they order it right. To review I walked in on a Saturday for my medication and now am being told maybe I'll get it Wednesday (after being told they'll have it Monday and then Tuesday) and each person I talk to has treated me in the same rude and indignant manner. Like they can't believe they have to talk to me and that I'm bothering them. Even though they keep screwing up my order and now I'm out of my medication. read more

I tried to give the gremlin the benefit of the doubt and still be nice and professional to her but she continued to be rude. I think it may be time for her to retire. The absolute worst pharmacy I have ever been to. My doctor sent a prescription and the pharmacy lost it, telling me they never received it. I called the doctor again, and they resent it. The pharmacy STILL told me they don't have it. I've spent so much time calling back and forth between the doctor and pharmacy because this place isn't doing a proper job in receiving records. The place is extremely unprofessional and I haven't been able to take my medication for a month. Only visit this pharmacy if you're okay with losing your prescription. read more

If I could give this pharmacy 0 stars I would. On more than one occasion I've had a bad experience with some of the staff. My husband needs his flu shot and I called 15 minutes before coming and the employee tells me "make sure you come by 8:30" and when we arrived within the 15 minutes after I called she tells me "you have to wait a half hour or come back tomorrow." I called beforehand to avoid this nonsense and then you waste my time anyways. We left and went to another cvs. I have been a cvs customer for years...but I will no longer go to that location. Am I the only one pleased with this CVS? I've been choosing this location over any others for the past 11 years. I can never walk out of there empty handed, never had any problems with the pharmacy as they are always so accommodating and the cashiers in the front have been nothing but kind and helpful. This August, I had brought my disposable camera to CVS to develop my vacation pictures. As instructed, I packaged the camera in their prepaid film processing mailer envelope, paid, and took the receipt stub. I was told I'd be called when the order was ready. After I hadn't heard back for a few weeks, I contacted CVS. First they told me they were unable to reach the outside company they were using to develop the pictures. I gave them more time. When I contacted CVS a second time, I was told they reached a representative there and that they were unable to locate my camera. Apparently, other customers had the same problem, one of whom had wedding pictures lost. It's now the end of October and CVS basically told me to give up the search and gave me a $25 gift card to their store. What good is their gift card when I don't have the only record of these pictures? I reluctantly accepted the gift card and will NEVER, EVER use them again for their camera services. I urge others not to use their services either. read more
