Good price on water. Pharmacy was busy. They have self checkout which is easy to Use. Smells kinda bad inside the store, carpet is really dirty and worn. The staff is friendly. However, the lack of garbage cans is a serious sanitation problem. There is not a single one in the parking lot, at the entrance, or inside by the register. I picked up litter and had nowhere to dispose of it. The entrance is visibly cluttered with trash. This is unsanitary and completely preventable. Add trash cans at the entrance and register, your employees and customers deserve a clean environment. read more

Called twice over a period of one week and left messages to call back but never received one. Phone triage does not give you any option to speak to a pharmacist. As a retired pharmacist I was appalled by the lack of patient care and support. I'm told this is typical for CVS pharmacies. read more

Genuinely the worst CVS I have ever been to. It is a cluster inside the store and out. Every time I am in the Drive-Thru Pharmacy it takes at least a half hour. They are so beyond slow they must be testing to see how long they can take at this point. read more

CVS is not the place to trust your life, they short staff and overwork their pharmacists and they are terrible about making sure you have the medications you need to stay healthy. This CVS is also short staffed up front, so I've always had a long wait to check out. Lots of things you might want to peruse and buy are locked up and it's hard to find someone who can assist you. Not my "usual" CVS but I was looking for some reading glasses and this one was on the way home from another spot I had visited, so it was convenient. Seemed like a larger store with wider aisles than teh one I'm used to, so I kinda liked that. Went straight to the rack with generic eyewear. Selection was good, but the variety wasn't as wide as the CVS I frequent. Nevertheless, I did find the type of reading glasses I needed. I also spotted a nice xase - mine has seen better days, so I bought that as well. I went up to check out. Aside from the pharmacy, I only saw two employees in teh store and one of them was stocking merchandise. The guy who had been at the register when I came in was helping a customer find something and progress with that appeared to be slow. I looked to my right and was relieved to see a self-checkout counter. Stepped on over and got it done. Overall, a decent experience. read more

Spent 45 minutes picking up a prescription. Waited in drive thru and they told me they didn't have my insurance and had to go inside. Waited inside and then they told me I needed to wait in the consult line. Waited in the consult line and they told me they already had my insurance, but I had to go back in line for pick up. Finally got my prescription after waiting in pickup again. Staff was friendly at least. Also heard terrible things about how the company treats its pharmacists/staff. read more

CVS MINUTE CLINIC REVIEW. I made an appointment for a FLU Shot for tonight for my 8 year old. Will let you know if it was a success or not. I have been waiting on the phone for 30 minutes trying to get an answer to whether they can administer a flu shot to my 8 year old. How hard can it be to pick up the phone and answer a question? I got a yes after 35 minutes. WE were able to get my 8 year old the flu shot. The actual doctor was very good. Nice lady. They bill your insurance for 50$. read more

Called the pharmacy and after waiting on hold for a ridiculous 24 minutes, they just hung up on me without anyone ever picking up. Called again and am still on hold, looks like it will be a repeat. Meanwhile you have to listen to extremely irritating "music" between advertisements and telling you that all their vaccine info is on their website. Well, it isn't. In one place they say they offer the RSV vaccine, but then it is not listed on their price chart of dozens of various vaccines. I'll give them 2 stars. But this shouldn't happen. My usual location. Used to be so helpful and recently had awful experiences. Asked help in the front for an item that showed as in stock online, when I asked for help they "checked in the back" for all of 1 minute after the said a shipment just came in that day and then all of a sudden didn't have it. Pharmacy is even worse. Was on hold for 45 minutes, no one ever picked up to help. Don't go to this location, they won't help you. read more

He not only politely and pleasantly provided assistance to every, single customer, he seemed attuned to when they needed help and initiated the conversation by asking "is there something I can help you with?" CVS, don't be foolish. You have an employee who is motivated to do a difficult and under-appreciated job exceptionally well. These are the people you should be promoting to leadership positions. read more

I prefer CVS to Walgreens as I often get CVS coupons mailed to me plus the pile of $-off coupons at the register on my CVS receipt. The Walgreens rewards system baffles me. Anyway, this is my local CVS and I come here every few months when I've got my coupons organized. I can usually find everything I need and if there is a long line then the manager calls for help up front. None of the clerks complain about my pile of coupons. The store is tidy and organized. The cashier today, Unique, was friendly and helpful. Parking is easy in the big lot. read more

CVS is CVS - it's a convenient location. The staff is usually very nice. Jeremiah in particular is a big help. Why I give them 4 stars is the pharmacy. The pharmacy staff communicates a great deal and works with you and your insurance company to make sure you have all of the information you need. They also go above and beyond in getting approvals. Getting medicine is usually a chore I hate doing but they make it easier. This CVS also has a really good clearance section. I've found really cute notebooks and even a fun pair of flip flops. They do have a parking lot and street parking. The store is large and well stocked with a variety of items. They are also open early and late which is super convenient. The employees will also locate what you are looking for at other CVS stores if they don't have it. It's usually a good experience shopping here. read more

This is the worst CVS pharmacy ever. I get the same Rx every month and they consistently get my Rx wrong. When I try to call to avoid the same mistake AGAIN they leave me on hold for 30 minutes or more. When in the store the employees are rude and the manager always looks overwhelmed. My God. First of all, I would never use this thrift-store quality place to buy anything unless I was desperate. Second, the pharmacy (which used to be at least decent) has recently been plagued by issues ranging from "down systems" (that was their excuse for double-charging me for a prescription) to "different manufacturers" (that was their excuse for incorrectly refilling my wife's prescription). The pharmacy techs are generally very nice, but might be poorly trained, and I've had my fair share of bad experiences on that end too. I suspect it's a perfect blend of poor corporate training and bad supervision, but whatever the reason is, I'm not using them anymore. Lucky for me (and you) there's a Walgreens a few blocks west on Madison that opened in the past two years. read more

I visited the pharmacy on September 14, 2019. I had visited the ER the night before and was in a lot of pain. I was greeted professionally to submit my prescription. And let the young lady know I would wait for it. She responded "No problem". I waited 40 minutes and I was the only person in the waiting area. I asked how much longer it would be. The pharmacist yelled out " Narcotics take an hour". He was nasty, unprofessional and belligerent. read more

My review is not of the actual store, but of the CVS Minute Clinic. I routinely get flu shots here for both myself and my daughter during the October flu season. Usually there is a "mad rush" for parents to get their children their flu shots, and the waiting rooms at the pediatrician's offices are simply unbearable. Someone told me to go to a Minute Clinic, and I am forever grateful to them for the suggestion. Upon arrival, you register yourself or your child at the electronic kiosk, where they ask basic information (name, insurance, purpose of visit, etc). Then you will get a message informing you of how long you will be waiting to be seen. My only issue here is there is only one chair to sit in while waiting to be seen. I don't understand the purpose of only having one chair for customers, especially since there are two chairs in the actual exam/treatment room. That makes absolutely no sense. The lack of seating is also ridiculous considering that it is for a clinic-meaning that more than likely someone is sick. Why would a sick person want to stand for 10-20 minutes before being seen? The medical staff is always pleasant, and very informative regarding the different vaccines that are available. I also came here one summer for my daughter's back to school vaccinations, as her pediatrician's office was completely backed up. I was able to get all of her necessary vaccinations and recorded for both myself and the school . The minute clinic is able to do other things, such as school and sport physicals. Just check the website for the services that are provided at the Minute Clinic near you. Also check the website for the hours, as there is a specific time when the medical staff goes on their lunch break. I have no complaints about this Minute Clinic; my daughter and I have always received excellent care here. Which reminds me, I'm about due for my flu shot...... read more

I live walking distance to this store but I drive to Walgreens. Rude, rude, rude employees. They don't talk to you, don't listen if you say or ask something and are usually on a personal phone call. I asked where the kleenex was once (stored 2 feet above my eyeline) and was treated like an idiot. On several occasions the pharmacy only gave 1/2 the pills in my husband's prescription. If you have the misfortune of stopping in here just before or after school you'll find yourself tripping over a pile of schoolbags from the obnoxious kids from the jr high down the street. This CVS pharmacy is pretty decent. The store part always has every item I'm looking for and is nice and tidy. The makeup section and hair care section is also well stocked and ethnic friendly. However, they need to employ more people here. There just aren't enough workers. It's the same four people all the time, good thing I'm never in a rush. Also this location has a problem with theft, many Oak Park kids come here after school to steal so don't be surprised if you see a pile of book bags at the entrance (I think they make the kids take them off to come in). Now for the pharmacy part, I've only ever been to the pharmacy once and I wasn't impressed. They seemed to be doing a lot of talking and not a lot of paying attention. My prescription sat ready for pickup in the basket for 20 minutes and I'm sitting there looking at them like is that mine? Are you going to call my name? Also one of the workers forgot to fill both my prescriptions, he only filled one. A little less talking and a lot more working would help to improve this pharmacy. This isnt a bad CVS although I see some of the problems the other reviewers mentioned. The main I saw during my visit (on a Saturday afternoon) was a lack of employees and tons of kids running around doing God knows what. Which makes me wonder how everything is so well-stocked is it that they have all the employees coming in on the night shift? or No one is coming to this store to buy the merchandise? The parking lot is terrible to access and probably shoos off a lot of business for this location. Plus the one employee I did talk to was friendly and cheerful. read more

I went to the walk in clinic at 7pm on a Monday for an ear infection. I have very shitty insurance but the great thing was that the nurse practitioner was willing to make sure that anything that was done was within my coverage! After my exam I filled my prescription at the pharmacy there. The technician was very helpful and tried her best to select a prescription that could be billed to my insurance. Alas antibiotics of all kinds are not covered. Anyway very helpful and understanding of my financial situation. Also only took maybe 10 mins to get it filled and payed for. The store itself was the not best quality I've seen in a CVS. There were also some very... Interesting customers there. read more

Pharmacy is TERRIBLE. Apparently they are extremely under staffed. However, half the staff that is regularly there can be super rude. When errors occur, and you walk through the process with them, they are responsible. I know they're probably stressed from upset customers and long hours, but taking it out on polite customers is not okay. There are a couple individuals who remain calm, and are honest about any pharmacy shortcomings. read more

This place is full of idiots who are dumb witted. Yes, I'm agravated. I needed to get a percription for my bf today. (And yesterday) First of all when you call to see if the percription came in yet, they will put you on hold for 20 min each time no joke. And the music they make you listen to is beyond horrible. It's like piano music for the almost dead genoratiotn. Jesus. Lord help me. So they get back to me, "No we have not recieved anything yet." Great. I'm so glad I wasted 20 min out of my life to hear that. Well, I called them like 3 more times last night, and it was the same fuckin crap. So I gave up, bought a nice oatmeal stought and made paninis to calm down. Today, this morning, THEY STILL DID NOT GET THE PERCRIPTION! The doctor sent it like 4 times. OMG.....Yes finally they got it, but I went to pick it up in the drivethrough, I timed how long it took them to get it. I sat in my car for 15 min ladies and gentleman. Mistake #1- after dropping off a prescription and telling them I would wait for it to be filled (not realizing I was within ear-shot browsing the aisles to waste time), the two tech's began talking about how they would never pay out of pocket for birth control because 'condoms work just as well'. I walked back up to the counter and politely informed them that my birth control is for an endometrial disorder, NOT to keep the babies at bay. I also suggested that they didn't discuss patient information to avoid violation HIPPA. Mistake #2- they gave my father someone's order for Coumadin (blood thinner) instead of his order for Clonidine (high-blood pressure). I transferred all of our prescriptions to the Walgreens down the street to avoid a Mistake #3. The cashiers at the front aren't half bad- the pharmacy is just full of bozos. read more

Took a prescription in because it was close. I knew once I went through the drive-through that they would tell me to come back. She told me they would call me in a couple hours and that was 4:30 PM so I figured a couple hours will be probably before they close. So I waited in pain for my prescription because I just had surgery a few minutes ago on my mouth. I went home to take a nap and No call. I don't know if they've fired the mean people or hid them in the back, but my experiences at this CVS have been a bit better. The employees I've encountered have been much more tolerable... ranging from nice and personable to having a pulse. =-p Over the fall we've made a lot of trips to this CVS, and I actually like it (and the makeup and nail polish selection) better than the one on Roosevelt Rd in Oak Park. read more
