I've been to this location several times several different items. Overall, solid 3, with all flaws & everyday experiences included. They have a great selection of reading glasses. These new ones are more stylish than the last and more expensive, but available in a Jiffy, quick new York minute. They have various items for daily needs, and prices vary, I appreciate their inventory. As far as "customer service"? Well; yes the automated pharmacy system did says medication is ready and you get there and it's not: nor do the staff seem to even know what your talking about. Ok, well technology is not perfect and things happen. So I'll come back. Let me know when for sure it's ready: Is it inconvenient, yes, is it life or death , no. I wasn't just out of the hospital in pain or anything, and usually hospitals don't leave you in a bad medical position, most medicine is not a life or death refill in the next 24 hrs. So let's be reasonable people: I needed something out of a Locked shelf, and then they forgot I was waiting and I asked 3 times. Inconvenient, yes; life o death , nope. I'll just be patient and keep asking. People are only human and if the store is busy, what it often is, we need to o consider the "whole" and not just "self". I can be patient. They keep it clean about; stocked enough and people still go. So it works. This location does a much better job than some other not so far away, so I'm thankful. Large parking lot free for customers. In a busy shopping center; I liken The shopping center. Tony's, Pet Store,many others as well. If you want an indoor mall to escape summer heat and shop; North Riverside Mall is just West and there a Bus Stop out front also. They even have an updated nice Cinema. read more

I always drive down the street to the Broadview Walgreen's because that one is so much more professional, cleaner, organized and treat ALL their customers equally. If you are Spanish speaking (which I am but don't look it) you get treated better at this Walgreens). It's always a cluster F*** here. Had a 12:15pm booster appointment . Here I sit 40 minutes after and still no shot ! I stood for 17 minutes while the slow as molasses tech tried to enter my insurance info. (Which we technically do not need.) After I brought this to his attention, it was another 7 minutes before I was given paperwork. I don't think he knows his job because others were waiting forever in his line as well. So now the tech just took someone who was 3 people in line behind me. The tech who gave me my shot (Isaiah) was competent and kind but told me they take people according to appointment time. I was there 5 min early. The guy behind me obviously was late for his appointment and got in before me. So appointment times do not matter at this location. If you can avoid this location, I would strongly recommend you do. Unless you're Hispanic. read more

This Walgreens seems a bit understaffed at times but I've never had bad service. Inside is usually pretty well-kept but not noticeably clean or organized. One thing I do love about this location is that it has a drive-through for the pharmacy. Whenever I do choose to go through the drive-through though, I have to understand that it will definitely take some patience. If I have to get a prescription refilled I will refill it online so it's ready when I come here and the process is really quick. But if I'm dropping off a prescription, there's always longer wait. They have great hours for the pharmacy too as they're open late on Sunday which is really nice because some pharmacies are only open till noon. Again the customer service here has always been welcoming, it just isn't the fastest or cleanest Walgreens I've been to. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I've ever used. I placed a refill order online overnight for a medication I desperately needed. The pickup time showed as 3:30pm the next day, so I called and spoke with the pharmacist and explained my situation and asked if he could expedite my order. He said come in at 9:00am, which I said would be great. Soon after I received a notification on my phone that my prescription was ready for pickup, so I went to the pharmacy. I waited for 10-15 minutes before anyone helped me, which is crazy since I was the only person waiting. When the pharmacist got my name he started to berate me and asked me "what time did I tell you to come?" I told him that I got a message saying it was ready and he asked again "what time did I tell you to come?" Unbelievable. The service at this pharmacy is really the worst. It always takes forever. I definitely won't be going back. read more

A simple question - how can I transfer my RX from an hour away to here. All of them, all auto refills, new location. Women looked at me like I had three heads. Her answer, they will need to be ordered at the other Walgreens and then transferred here. While I paused, I nicely said I think I could just go online and make this my new location. This Walgreens is horrible with their service. The pharmacy is the worst I've seen and delt with. The people working at this pharmacy are incompetent, dismissive, and rude. I've had multiple instances where I needed meds for my mother whom had a stroke and is bed bound. They always screw up the reorder of meds and order the wrong things. When I call them on it they blame the doctors office and every person there tells me a different story. Stay away from this pharmacy if you value your sanity. read more

While their store is ok, it's their pharmacy that is the biggest problem. I'm pretty certain there is some drug issue going on with their pharmacy staff as it is the second time one of my prescriptions are "missing". SECOND. TIME! This has occurred when I had to have about 7 prescriptions filled at the same time. On the first occasion, I never received my Gabapentin. When my nurse asked me about the meds, I told her I never got it so I clearly must have never gotten the prescription from the doctor. She said it was highly unlikely and after some back and forth, the doctor ended up giving me a prescription for it. I dismissed it. For a brief moment I considered it may have been a pharmacy issue but thought it was impossible. A few months later, I had another 6 prescriptions to get filled. This time I made copies and took pictures of the prescriptions. I dropped off the prescriptions and when I picked them up I counted my medication information leaflets and counted all 6. I paid for them and left. When I got home, I opened up the bag and there was no vial for my Hydrocodone. The leaflet was attached, but no meds. I went to notify the pharmacy and they looked at me like as if I was crazy. Clearly if I had the leaflet it meant I had the meds. You'd think, right? They said their stock showed it was distributed and I'm sure it was, but not to me. They pretty much said they couldn't do anything for me. I wasn't about to contact my doctor and let him know I needed another prescription for yet another one of my narcotic prescriptions! I mean, really, at that point he'd probably think I have a drug issue. Twice? Really? Given my recent experience, I am now certain that I was given the prescription for the Gabapentin the first time around, but the pharmacy failed to issue it to me. I don't know who's pushing drugs or who's got an addiction issue in that place, but they have no consideration for the people whose health they are jeopardizing when they are not fulfilling the meds as they should. If I decide to go there again, trust that I will be taking pictures, opening bags and counting pill bottles BEFORE I leave the pharmacy. Ridiculous. read more

I have waited over 20 minutes in the drive up lane for one prescription alone. If you have time to sit around and wait, feel free to come to this Walgreens. Otherwise find another one. read more

I needed help in the pain relief department. A young woman was sent to assist me. She only opened one section and I asked to see another section so I could read another bottle and she refused to open it. I needed to find out which type of pain relief I should use. She would not answer my question and said I should talk to my doctor. I explained that the directions were already on the medicine and I just needed to read the bottle. When I complained at checkout no one really cared. I will never go to the store ever ever again. This is not the first time I had terrible service at this place. read more

No idea if this place is under new management or what but for the last 6 months to a year it has been terrible. The store is dirty and boxes everywhere. The pharmacy was the tipping point and now we go to the Broadview location which is out of our way just to avoid this place. A medicine will be called it and sometimes it is days for it to be filled. Other times I get a text that it is ready and I go in just to find out it is not ready. Last month our vet had to call in a medication for our dog 3 times over a week for them to ever fill it. Each time we are met with "this is not our fault and nothing we can do about it" answers if I ask why. I asked the woman in the drive through last time if she even cared about the customers because she rolled her eyes when i asked why the meds were still not ready after i received a text and call saying to pick them up. She informed me she did not care. So, no more of our money will go to them, we will go elsewhere. read more

CONS: Drive-thru takes terribly long. 30 minute waits in your car are not uncommon -- even with two lines going. Pharmacy counter appears to be woefully understaffed after sundown. Prescriptions take forever to fill, and staff on the store floor are often slow as molasses. One time, I asked the photo person if she could please assist me with the photo machine and she never even looked up at me or acknowledged she had heard me. I just waited silently, and about 5 minutes later she stopped what she was doing and slowly walked over to assist. Unbelievably rude culture they have fostered in this location. NOW, it is possible that they are perpetually understaffed and that is the cause of slow response times and negative employee attitudes--but then shame on corporate for not assisting the store to address the root of the problem. read more

This is my favorite Walgreens to come to on occasional shopping. The cashiers here are great and polite. Had a coupon mix up due to an app error and the employees here took the time to clarify things for me on why it didn't apply to my purchase. I enjoyed more the fact they were so nice, it's rare to experience this kind of service and manners. Thank you. read more

Lazy folks at the Pharmacy. When I moved to Berwyn again, I tried transferring my meds here from another Walgreens and got stonewalled and told I had to do this and I had to do that, basically telling me I had to do their job for them. Ended up going to the Walgreens on Ridgeland and Roosevelt in Oak Park who took 15 minutes to transfer and fill my meds. However, the rest of this Walgreens is fine. Big store, prime location for store hopping. The cashiers at the front are always bombarded with customers but still are friendly and quick. read more

Went to the pharmacy section as I have been really sick with a fever that seems to keep returning going on almost a week. This was around 11pm so the clinic was closed and the only other option would be to pay $250 for the ER. So I was hoping for some nice helpful advice from the pharmacist, unfortunately though he seemed very uninterested from the start. I hardly got to even explain all of the situation to him and he just told me to take normal painkillers or go to a doctor/ER. We talked a total of about a minute and a half before he walked away. He was an older guy, white, slicked back greyish hair. Funny enough I called a 24 hour Walgreens in Rockford then to speak to that pharmacist, and he was great, had a 20 min talk where he gave much advice and ended up helping me a lot. read more

Made an appointment at the Walgreens walk-in clinic in Berwyn, Illinois,on Sunday August 31, for my 89 year old mother. The purpose of an appointment is so that you don't have to sit and wait. Our appt was for 12:30. We got there at 12:20 and proceeded to check in. Although I had an email confirmation, the clinic said they had no record of the appointment.I had brought the confirmation email with, so they agreed I did in fact have an appointment. It didn't matter apparently. They took two more walks ahead of us. it was now 1:15 and they said they were going to lunch. the young Walgreen employee felt terrible. She asked if we could come back at 2:00 and we would be the first appointment. We got there at 1:50. at 2:10, the young employee had to go get the nurse and the PA. they came in, looked at us and took another patient claiming she had an appointment. We waited and the nurse finally saw us. After we saw the nurse we were sent out to the waiting room to wait for the practitioner. She took another walk in before us. Finally at 2:45 she saw us. She told my mother she did not have a cold, but she had allergies. Suddenly at 89. my mother has developed allergies. We asked for a z pack just incase she was actually sick.. The practitioner gave it to her. I'm glad she did because at about 10:30 that night she came down with a 100 temp. We waited 2 hours and 45 mins., even with a appointment, to be misdiagnosed ... moral of this story... go to a real clinic if you need a doctor on a holiday weekend! read more

This was my first visit to this location (beautiful store; newly-built). The woman (Caucasian, elderly, blond hair, hunchback) covering the 1st register at the front of the store was waiting on a customer (police officer). I politely waited until she closed the cash drawer and began bagging before asking what isle the Gift Cards could be found. She waived her hand toward me and just 'blew' me off, stating, "I'll be with you when I'm done!" Her response, total disregard and lack of respect, threw me in a rage and I am generally a very happy, drama-free person. I continued thru the store to locate the Gift Cards, mumbling under my breath that I guess she can't walk and talk at the same time. I am shocked that mgmt would hire such an unfriendly, unqualified, prejudiced person for that position, especially with this being a new store; this is Chicago in 2014, not Alabama in 1950. I will never visit this store again and will encourage everyone I know to stay away as well. After contacting the main office by phone, I neither received a response, nor a return call to my message! read more
