I always pick a CVS pharmacy in a Target as my pharmacy because I have a 6 year old and it allows us to kill time while waiting for prescriptions, plus most Targets have a starbucks to grab some caffeine too. The CVS pharmacy is small, as most in Target are. It's closed 30 min for lunch a day, but I forget what time that is. I think it's like 1 or 1:30, so not a traditional 12pm. Just a heads up! The service is kind. Understandably, they seem a bit slow but I think every pharmacy is short staffed right now? Idk. The CVS Pharmacy is always near the vitamin aisles. I miss the bigger CVS pharmacies that offer flu shots etc. I wouldn't try to get any flu shots or vaccines here, only because it's a long line and most folks are after their medicines and then want to bounce. However, if they have more staff, or promote the space where that can be done, maybe! read more

This is a general CVS pharmacy complaint and not an issue with this site. I'm new to the CVS pharmacy and I'm finding it to be a scam. One prescription filled and now I'm getting texts about refills when I'm not due for a refill. The first text asks if I want the pharmacy to message my doctor as I have no refills open. I text back NO since I don't need a refill. The next day I get a text that my prescription is ready for pickup. This happened multiple times. The last time I received the text, I texted back to stop harassing me. That their refill process is abusive and it finally stopped. I filed a complaint with CVS. They are pill pushers read more

Standing in line for now 20 min, one person one cashier all this time. Pharmacist accepts someone who straight walks up to the counter (cuts in front of one single line) and makes this assumption that the other 4 people behind me waiting weren't waiting for a vaccine check-in. Very rude pharmacist. Had some questions about a medication. He contradicted himself and I asked him to clarify. He told me to leave the store and that he wasn't going to sell me that medication. Never going back there again. read more

I had a list of skin medications written by my dermatologist. I heard women talking at the pharmacy but out of sight. After waiting and then calling out to see if anyone was working there a young woman came out and I showed her the list and asked if they had any of these creams behind the counter. (Because my doctor said some pharmacies keep them back there). The girl barely looked at it and said "no." I said none of them? "No." I asked her if they would have them out on the shelves. She said" I don't work for target." And walked away. I called to her back. So do you know where they might be? She nastily replied I said no ." I told her she was being rude. Then she went back to talking to whoever else was back there. I asked to talk to the manager but she never came back out. The worst possible service. There was no one in line and few people in Target. I won't go back there. She shouldn't be working. read more

I am disappointed, thi s is the 3rd time I buy on target and I have to come back to claime. Because they don't apply the discount, we told the guy in customer services, and he told me I must buy three, I show a picture, and he said nothing, I return the stuff, it is amazing. CVS Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - NOVATO, California

I have not had anything but positive experiences with this pharmacy and staff. My latest experience involved the need for a special order. They were great about confirming my options re: brand name or generics, they offered me the option to wait for them to pull additional details since I had questions about insurance benefits, and they also quoted me a time (next day!!) for my special order prescription, and, true to their word, it was ready as promised. The staff (about 3 different people) I have encountered have all been very patient, thorough, and professional. I will definitely continue to shop Target for my prescription needs. read more

Amazing staff. After being frustrated with the CSV on Grant for 2 years i tried Pharmaca (sp) and they didn't have anything and didn't seem to care but much to my surprise this CVS Target is AWESOME. If you are going to this pharmacy for their $4.00 30 day or $10.00 90 day supply of generitcs don't. IT IS A TOTAL SHAM!!!!!!!!!! It does not matter what your perscription says is a 30 day supply. The pharmacy has a list of what it considers a 30 day supply. In my case, it was a third of the number of pills my doctor perscribed as a 30 day supply. In other words, my doctor said 90 pills was my 30 day supply. Target says a 30 day supply is only 30 pills. So to get my doctor's perscribed 30 day supply it would cost me $12. My 90 day supply of generic coumadin would be $36 dollars rather than the advertized $10. read more

I was very sad to have to switch from the San Rafael Target Pharmacy where I was very happy to the Novato one, but the service here has been absolutely excellent. I go to the pharmacy a lot and place a lot of special orders and they always accommodate me. This is my new go-to pharmacy. The pharmacists are incredibly helpful, informative and accomodating to any special needs. I can go shopping and get a text when the Rx is ready. They have helped when I had to get an ER Rx filled to find an alternative because the medication wasn't in stock. This was all within 30 minutes of them closing on a Sunday. Happy I call them my new pharmacy. read more

Tammy and Serra plus their staff are always so helpful and informative. We are retired and have had very poor experiences at other chain pharmacies e.g. CVS. But not Target and especially the Novato store. A lot of businesses could learn great customer satisfaction training from these two young pharmacists. read more

I find the staff to be very friendly, helpful and efficient. I have prescriptions filled as well as checking out with non pharmacy items at times. I find them to be very polite when I call for assistance as well. I really don't understand the negative comments made here. I have NEVER had a negative experience. read more

I filled a prescription of longterm Doxicycline for a recurring eye infection my son had. The doctor prescribed 100 pills per prescription for 100 days, with 2 refills @ 100 pills each until December 2012. The instructions said 'take one pill each day until March 18, 2012'. My son took the meds until mid March 2012 and the infection was gone. A couple of months later, the infection started again and I called Target for the first of the two refills. The day after the doctor's office called and said they needed to see my son before they could give him the medication. When I questioned the fact that I still had 2 refills remaining, I found out that a pharmacy staff had taken it upon herself to call the doctor's office and question the refill previously prescribed claiming the doctor's instructions were 'unclear'. I had no choice but to see the doctor, which cost me $80 out of pocket and the doctor prescribed the exact same medication again! I contacted Target's headquarters and complained about the pharmacy staff person overstepping her boundaries by questionning the doctor's prescription and forcing me to have another doctor's visit. I believe the staff person misread the instructions or she only read the part where it said '... take one pill until March 17, 2012' and didn't read further where it showed that 2 refills were remaining. The pharmacist then justified their mistake or action by saying the pharmacy was equally responsible for my son's health as I, the mother, was. She also said she needed to know what my son's health condition was for which he was prescribed the Doxicycline. This medication is commonly prescribed for recurring eye infections, acne, Lyme disease etc. and often is given as a long term medication. It is not unusual for Doxicycline to be administered for months at the time. It was none of her concern what my son's condition was and she simply tried to cover up their mistake - at my expense. I will NEVER fill a prescription again at Target. I have never experienced a problem like this in any other pharmacy! read more
