I gave them a 2 because the store was set up very nicely. It was very clean and organized. It was a newer CVS with an updated makeup section and lots of bright lights. I also gave it a 2 because everyone that worked there had NO PERSONALITY. I had a hard time locating the office supplies today and I asked a woman who just stared at me blankly and said "over there." Well thanks, I could have figured that one out myself. When I went to the front to pay, the gentleman behind the counter was staring off into space and did not see me coming. A woman that worked there shouted, "you have a customer," to which he looked at me and I moved forward to the counter. He did not say "hello", he did not say "did you find everything?", he didn't even say "Do you have a CVS card or phone number you would like to enter?" I was shocked. I mean CVS does not sound like the most fun place to work in the world but come on, have a little personality especially if you are dealing with the public all day. On a side note, I went to the CVS up in Glastonbury CT yesterday and the gentleman at the front desk was so peppy and happy, it was amazing. I wanted to come back that same day. He was SUPER excited. Don't order photos or prints from here. I did same day pick up -- took over 24 hours to print. I placed an order for my holiday cards and a magnet for my fridge. The magnet was a photo taped behind a clear film to the magnetic backing, crooked and not even cut properly. The photo cards had marks across each one from ink. When I said I wanted a refund, they told me they couldn't give me one and I had to call customer service. The guy who handed me the order said it wasn't his problem because he wasn't there when they were printed. He said he would reprint if I did a new order and when I told him I wasn't paying more for the same printer issue, he said also not my problem, the store manager has to call and fix the printer. Needless to say, customer service called Willard for me nearby and they were much better with everything: services, printed magnets and they included envelopes for me. read more

I realized and accepted when the bright red 24 hour neon sign must have been a prank a couple of years ago because it wasn't. I suppose now the open til midnight red neon sign is supposed to be funny too because there I was 9:30ish at night and it was dark as dark can be and closed. Except for the open til midnight neon sign, which I swear, flickered at me. No notice on the doors as to why they were closed so early. I drove all the way there to pick up get well meds that had been prescribed from the urgent care the day prior that weren't ready when I had dragged myself there and then ah, the pharmacy closed at 9? I'm not really local so I dragged myself back for the freakin meds. Went to pharmacy for a refill on medication, was told my the lady at the register "it is not ready yet. Please give us 10-15 minutes". I then waited for 20 minutes before standing back in line to check if medication is now ready. After being overlooked multiple times by a possible manager in the black dress shirt, a pharmacist then came to check in to see if I was being assisted. I then explained how I was checking in on the medication I needed and was told to wait the "10-15" they said ok and proceeded to check with other pharmacists to see if meds are ready and they were not. I was then informed "the medication is finishing up". The staff then sent ANOTHER person over to explain why this medication is out of stock , I then stated how it sucked it took 30 minutes to tell me that when I've been waiting. The rude staff then stated "well, you want the help? You have two options: wait for us to check our truck or go to another pharmacy " please do better with customer service & communicating. This place is a disaster. I've always given it a chance because it's very close to where I live, but the pharmacy has always been super slow. Sometimes they call me to tell me something is ready, and I get there only to find out they don't have the prescription they told me that they filled. This has happened to both me and my husband on multiple occasions. The poor pharmacy service was bad enough, but I wasn't going to write a bad review about that until I had the worst customer service ever in the front of the store earlier this month. I went to just by soap and a couple small items, walked up the front counter, politely smiled and said hello to the cashier. I am generally a smiley person and don't expect everyone to be that way back, but this woman rolled her eyes at me and groaned when she saw me and realized she needed to check me out. To make matters worse, she didn't say anything directly to me but was talking to herself and said, "Urgh! Can I leave yet?" I tried to be kind and replied, "Sorry, I hope you get out soon." She never responded directly back to me at all but later repeated in a louder, angrier voice that she wanted to leave. I'm a teacher but I've worked in customer service position before and this treatment of a customer is atrocious and completely unacceptable. CVS should be compensating customers for such poor experiences. read more

Front of store employees, especially Gina, are very helpful and friendly. Sometimes understaffed at registers but can always find someone when needed. Contrary to the front of store, the PHARMACY department is a NIGHTMARE! the pharmacy techs and the pharmacist, Stephen Kim are extremely rude. They are probably understaffed as well but it does not excuse their lack of courtesy and the absence of professionalism. Example: I needed an Rx for a dental paste, the receptionist from my dentist's office called it in and spoke to a tech, who proceeded to order the wrong thing. When I got home I realized they gave me a cream, not a paste, which cannot be used orally. I called the pharmacy and spoke to the Pharmacist, Stephen Kim, who proceeded to say they didn't have that so I asked him if they could order it. He said it was going to be difficult to get and that he didn't think it would be delivered. I said okay, so does that mean you're not going to put the order in? He said, Yea, we haven't had that in a long time and we're Most likely not going to be able to get it. So i said to him, if they Most likely wouldn't get it, then there was still a chance they could get it. He continued to say it was unlikely, he even said it was a 98% chance they wouldn't get it and a 2% chance they would, implying that it wasn't worth going through the trouble to order. After going back and forth, I finally got it through to him that regardless, I still needed the medication and asked him, since there was a chance they could get it, then why wouldn't he just order it? He finally, though, reluctantly, said okay and said the dentist would have to call the Rx back in specifying the dental paste. He even tried to blame the dentist's receptionist for being the one who said not to order the prescription. In the end, the Rx was delivered, it even came within the week the order had been placed. When I picked up the Rx, Stephen denied the fact that he made it difficult for me and my dentist's office to get the Rx, his reason being that he had never straight up refused to order the Rx for me, oblivious to the unnecessary and unhelpful way he presented the situation to the dentist's office and myself. I will not get into detail regarding the majority of the pharmacy techs. All I will say is, RUDE, UNFRIENDLY, SLOW. The only courteous and helpful techs are the tallish, thin, black gentleman, I think his hair is braided and the young-ish, slender Asian gentlemen, who is somewhat tall as well, maybe has glasses. The female techs are a nightmare... Stephen must have been responsible for their interpersonal skills training. read more

Probably the worst CVS I have ever been too-sloppy, careless, and a staff that doesn't pay attention to detail-I cannot day this about the pharmacy department but as for front end of the store-absolutely oblivious! Stopped by a few times here when in the e neighborhood and my most recent visit will be my last one. Decided to use this location fo my UPS needs and about absolute careless disaster for which no one assumes any accountability!! Brought a medium sized parcel meticulously wrapped and with large printed addressed label which I generated from UPS site on Tuesday, October 7. Matthew, who seems nice but really needs to dress far more professionally and not have his pants half way down with more than half his underwear visible assisted me. Took my package and scanned it and told m I was done. I asked him if h wanted my cell number or email so that I could recover notifications and he told me that it wasn't needed-I hesitated and asked really and he then states that they do not do that there then he process to toss my parcel on the floor. Doesn't bode too well with me but i did appear to be scanned as I heard his machine so I left knowing that I could track it through UPSsite. A few days go by and I track at each day and by Friday, I still see no progress when my package should have attained its destination. I give it until Sunday since UPS now delivers on Saturday and still proves to be fruitless. I call CVS on Sunday at this location and I have a gentleman who seems nice but is having a hard time communicating to me due to a language barrier so he passes me to an older attendant Connie who was very helpful and reveals o me that my package is still laying in the floor after 5 says and although UPS has come daily, my very large labels package has not been picked up. I asked why and she couldn't answer me. So I asked go manager and 4:30pm, no manager for the rest of the day and the shift manager had just left! So I asked for contact info and she gave me John Legan who i called today and could not even assist me! He kept putting the blame on UPS not picking up the package and when I asked him who directly oversees this department he said no one! There is tte problem!!! You cannot run a courier service if you are not going o have someone correctly administer what is coming and going-imagine the losses? My package was neglected and never sent for 6 days! On Sunday, October 11 I took back my package since these idiots couldn't send it out in the course of 6 days! Learn your jobs and dress appropriately for work...except for Connie-sh was a doll and really Reid to rectify he situation and apologized profusely. In the past week my experience at this CVS has not been good. First I tried to make an even exchange of gloves and the cashier completely confused me when I asked a question about how he was handling the transaction. His explanation was very unclear. We went back forth and the line behind me was growing so in the end I just returned the gloves and did not purchase the others. I then went back a few days later to purchase some items. There was no one at the front at the general cash registers to ring me up. I went to the back pharmacy, stood on line for 10 minutes and was told by the VERY RUDE cashier that if I did not have a prescription to pick up I had to go up front. When I told her there wasn't anyone there she told me I had to go up front. I guess the pharmacy cashiers are just way to above it all to ring up a customer! Unfortunately this CVS is very close and I have multiple prescriptions so I am in a situation where I have no other option but to put up with the rude, inefficient staff you have on hand. This is my local pharmacy store to go to for prescriptions and other necessities. It is kept neat and clean. The staff have become more friendly in the past few months, but were lacking in great customer service before. They can still improve. The manager during the day is very friendly and takes care of any problems in a wonderful manner. It is a 24 hour CVS which is very convenient for me, but the pharmacy is always so busy. This is a fine store, unless you need to use the pharmacy. You will need to wait in line no matter when you arrive. If you get a flu vaccine they will make you wait in line once to request the vaccine, twice to get the form to sign, a third time to turn in the form and finally the fourth time for the actual injection. The technicians are friendly, but the pharmacists and interns are ill-disposed and discourteous. Since I have a high deductible, I usually pay hundreds of dollars a month for my medications. At the very least, I wish I was treated decently. read more

Definitely the worst, most unprofessional CVS I've been to. Staff is beyond RUDE and sloppy. I once called in to have my prescriptions delivered; the lady who answered was very dismissive and blase but stated she'd place my order and I'd get it within a week. Two weeks pass and I received nothing. I called again and this time was answered by a snippy, also dismissive guy. He required updated information (billing and address). When I realized I gave him the wrong billing address and had to correct it, he had a mini meltdown over the phone, whining at me "This is what I was ASKING you before!!!" The absolute rudest service ever. There was also one time I called the pharmacy and waited on the line for 45 minutes (seriously), before giving up and hanging up - so unbelievable and careless. I've only been inside one time; some of the staff have been alright, and others dismissive per usual. However, that one time I was there, one of the staff didn't even wear her mask properly and wore it below her nose. If hell has a pharmacy, it'd be an exact duplicate of CVS on Main Avenue in Norwalk. Why isn't there an option to give a 0 star rating ?? Needs to be created for this place. It DOES NOT MATTER WHEN YOU GET THERE - be prepared to wait in line behind AT LEAST 5-6 people. While in line take notice; the phone is ALWAYS ringing & they always have at least 2-3 callers waiting for someone to pick up (don't bother calling, it's a complete waste of time). I've given this place so many chances because of how close it is to my home but they just can't seem to get it together. On several occasions I've been given the wrong quantity of medications or supplies (as I am a type 1 diabetic). Just today ... my doctor had written the wrong quantity for a script the pharmacy had already filled. When I got there I was given the incorrect amount which was a box of 100 test strips for my glucometer. Turns out that they HAD gotten the correct script already, but of course just neglected to fix it. I was immediately sent to the "drop off" counter for the issue. One of the pharmacists walked over to the first counter I was at to tell me that they'd gotten the corrected script so obviously he knew it needed to be fixed but instead of just starting to work on it; For no good reason I was sent to wait in ANOTHER line. I told the person at THAT counter that I really didn't know WHY I was there(when he asked how he could help me) so he asked the first person who helped me who explained what was going on. The person at the second counter did not ask me any questions whatsoever; I just kind of awkwardly stood there while he was on his computer until he told me to sit down & wait for them to get it ready. Waste of another 10mins. of my time. Then of course I had to wait ANOTHER 15mins. for the pharmacist to fill the script. When I got home & checked what was in the bag hours later after the pharmacy was closed ... I discovered that the pharmacist exchanged the 1 box of 100 strips for 2 boxes with 50 strips each in it (I was supposed to get 200 test strips total). So that whole 45mins. of complete BS was literally for nothing & I get to go back & do it again tomorrow !! Tomorrow WILL be the last time I ever step foot in that place though. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GO TO THIS PHARMACY. Literally, go ANYWHERE else unless you enjoy aggravation & wasting your time !!! read more

HORRIBLE PHARMACY! My wife has thee prescriptions for this pharmacy, and two different doctors send them to this pharmacy and they NEVER FRICKIN HAVE THEM! The doctor from a HOSPITAL signed them over yesterday in the early afternoon and even showed the script showing when they sent it. Went to the pharmacy TWICE TODAY and they don't have anything, at all. They keep claiming "oh it's not authorized" or "we didn't get anything" or "nothing and disregard the automatic voice message when you call the CVS pharmacy..." why the f do they have an automatic message on their phone which lets you REFILL PRESCRIBED PILLS and give you a confirmation saying "your prescription of ......for.....will be ready by 7pm today!" Ok, so if they're ready, they should be ready! Not bs and make people come back multiple times in one evening cause they can't get their crap together. read more

I wish I could give this pharmacy zero stars. Literally, I have not had a single visit to this pharmacy to smoothly. I or my doctors have called in or requested prescriptions to be refilled and they take DAYS. In some cases, when I show up days later, the script isn't even ready and I have to wait. It is simply unacceptable that a script isn't filled within at least a 12-24 hour time period from receiving. I won't be back. read more

I love coming in this store. Every time I shop here I am amazed how neat this store is. Seasonal items are always neatly stacked on shelves or hanging on hangers. OTC medicine labels are always facing outward for quick identification. Makeup isles goes on and on for many choices and the shelving height is appropriate. I never feel as if I am cut off from the rest of the store. The lighting is impressive here. I sometime feel other CVS stores do not have good lighting. They should visit this store and learn some things. I was very impressed yesterday with one particular employee by the name of Amy. She helped me to understand my extra care card better. She went over the many ways I can save and all the in store and online services when tracking my progress. She was upbeat and knowledgeable about this program. Thank you Amy. This CVS is the WORST! Pharmacy open all day but no matter what time of day you go you'll be 5 deep in line. They never have my prescription ready even though I go hours after the time the automated system tells me it's ready or it calls me to tell me it's ready. So then after waiting on line in told it'll be 15 more minutes. They'll have 5 people working in the back and no matter how long the line is, 1 working the cashier. They take in the $$$ from us and clearly don't care a bit about customer service or respect the time of their patrons. read more

Hubby and I went to get our flu shots. First we waited until someone finally gave us an "I'll be right with you". We waited not too long, but long enough for me. Then, we handed our insurance card and got a "let me see if they will pay for it because sometimes they do not" - not encouraging at all. The statement is repeated as if we did not hear it the first time. Okay, after a few minutes, we are told to have a seat and they will come with the forms to sign. That is when we noticed how filthy the waiting area and the area where the shots are given were; there was a cookie on the floor and crumbs from another cookie that had been stepped on, there were also all kinds of pieces of paper on the floor. When, I looked at the area where the shots were given I noticed the garbage can without a cover and full of blue used medical gloves. Eek! I reported my discomfort to the manager who did not seem concerned, "it is usually clean, they clean it every night", he said. Well, "it is not clean now" I replied gently, "perhaps it should be cleaned during the day as well. "I'll have someone look at it", he answered; I thanked him. We waited a few more minutes, nothing. My husband and I decided to leave. I could not bring myself to let someone stick a needle in my arm in the mist of uncleanliness. This CVS location was one I used to stop by at regularly when I used to live in the area. I happened to be in the area on the way up visiting friends. The greeting card selections have definitely gotten better over the years. It's a nice, large store, but what chain isn't outside of NYC? The front had a long line with only 2 people working the registers. If you're not willing to hire the staff you need, consider adding self checkout lanes. They wait two days to process your script, make you chase them down to see if it's ready and wait on hold each time for 15 minutes, just to say they are working on it so you go down to pick it up and they say oh sorry it's backordered. DONT CONFIRM YOU HAVE A MEDICATION AND YOU WILL HAVE IT READY FOR PICK UP IF ITS ON BACKORDER. CVS pharmacy in general has been going down hill for a while now, their employees are beyond incompetent and an overall nightmare to deal with. When you go through the drive up EXPECT to wait to even be acknowledged for atleast 10-15 minutes and then expect to wait another 10 minutes to be told that your medicine Not only are they rude but scripts are not ready when they tell you they will be ready. We even got a phone call saying the medications were ready and when we got there, they told us it would be another 45 mins to a hour before they would be ready! Never once did they apologize!! This CVS location has been my to go to pharmacy for years and I've never had one problem until the last 6 months. They always seem to be understaffed, the lines are ridiculously long and that one pharmacist on call is a nervous wreck because she can't handle the pressure. It can be noon, evening or midnight and the service still sucks. I have had issues refilling my prescriptions because of errors that they make on their end. While the store folks are nice and try to help, the Pharmacy staff seems to go out of its way to be rude, slow and incompetent. Shame on CVS. I've often waited over 18 minutes on the phone for someone to pick up, and often wait almost a half an hour to get to the ONE pharmacy register person working. They have messed up my prescriptions, the auto refills and just about everything else you can imagine. I've filled out every on line survey they send but nothing ever changes.
