Always a massive line inside, and the drive-thru is closed at random times. None of the pharmacy employees move with a sense of urgency and can be very rude. Last time I had COVID, their drive through was closed and I was forced to come inside after explaining I was contagious and couldn't come in over the phone, and when the pharmacy tech found out it was COVID she said "ew!" And sprayed disinfectant on the counter that I was already standing at waiting to be helped. They're frequently out of very common (and vital!) medications or products, and won't call to tell you if your prescription isn't in stock, or answer the phone. They also won't pick up the phone or actually call another pharmacy when you want to transfer your prescriptions, so be very careful when filling life-saving medications here, they could get trapped here. read more

Scheduled a covid vaccination, within 10 minutes it was canceled. Called the pharmacy & asked to speak to an agent , he/she picked up the phone and literally hung up. -10/10 would never recommend this location. read more

This is the Algiers branch of the national chain. Products: Drugs, snacks, first aid, etc. Nothing special here, but a decent variety. 3 stars Service: It's a little "meh", and lines form rather easily here. 2 stars Facilities: This brick-and-mortar is in the same area as the Village Aurora complex. It is highly visible with good signage. Parking is decent and ample for the store. My favorite go to spot, that has lots of savings! I love CVS and I never leave less than HAPPY & SATISFIED. Their parking lot is very huge and has ample parking spaces. It's always very clean and very well lit, at night. The store is always clean. The shelves are always stocked. The employees go above and beyond to keep everything organized and in the right place. They use yellow labels to identify items for sale and it makes it easy to pick out the deals. The employees always greet everyone, that is entering and wishes everyone a, who is leaving, a great day! They always verify if you're a CVS card member and inform you of the benefits, if you're not. The CVS card is a lifesaver, it generates coupons daily and allows you to unlock the weekly sales that the store has. I had a purchase that was $30 and after the savings from my CVS card, my total went down to $10! The store also has a well stocked liquor/wine section and there's HUGE sales, weekly. I Overall, I give this store an A+! The customer service is awesome, no matter who's at the register and I love stores that take pride in cleanliness and organization. read more

I own a home in Algiers and decided to pass Walgreens and go to CVS since I hadn't been there in a while and I try to support all of my neighborhood stores... I walked in at 8:50 the older guy who I assume was the Manager only greeted me after I made eye contact and instead of asking if I needed help or anything he decided to state "we close in a few minutes"... My response was "No i don't need help with anything thank you" of course he looked confused... The cashier was pleasant and I told her thank you... I was out of the store in less than 4mins cus I was only going in for a drink and snack... On my way out the door at 8:54 he had already locked it and had to open it to let me out... A car was pulling up and I waited to see if he would let the person in and at 8:55 he had already decided the store was closed... The sign outside says the store closes at 9pm... The slowest pharmacy I have ever been to. I seriously need to find a new one. Always a huge line and under staffed. When I drop off a prescription and ask "How long will this take to be filled?" the standard response is without fail, always "1 Hour." The staff could be friendlier. With the exception of one or two pharmacy employees, they have an uncaring attitude, and at times a little hostile. One time their system got screwed up, changing my monthly prescription from automatic refill to manual. When I went to go pick it up on the regular day and they discovered this, no apologies or any sort of sense of urgency, just a "Can you come back in 2 hours?" ....Are you freaking kidding me? I'm feeling like a donkey chasing a carrot that moves forward out of reach every time I take a step. CVS emails many coupons each week to me and I stay quite busy filing them and hoping to use one some day. They usually have very short expiry dates, making them very hard to use in time. It hasn't worked out to print them at home, the great majority of the time they just lay unused until they expire and another one arrives. This morning I received a new coupon in my email on my iphone while I was out of the house, and I did need something, in fact I was on the way to another store to buy it when the offer hit my iphone for $5 off on any $25 purchase in the next two days only. It said click here to add this coupon to your extra care card, but when I did so on my iphone in the car then I got an error message because the CVS web site doesn't support iphones. Choices offered were then to drive home and back again to print the coupon (more expensive in gas/time than the coupon is worth) or just come on in to the store they say, where you can load the coupon on your card and print it at the store's coupon center kiosk. But after I made a special trip to the store to do that, the coupon center wouldn't even scan my extra care card and gave an error message - call an associate it said. I did, and the associate said they had no paper in the store and couldn't get any until two days from now, on Friday, after the coupon has expired. So nobody can use the coupon center in the store until Friday when the store gets printer paper. Since the associate had no authority to bend any rules, and give me my $5 off, I escalated to the store manager, which took another 15 minutes of my time and the time of the two people with me. It turns out the store manager is not able to make a $5 decision either, and could only offer to give me $5 off if I came back in two days for it, forcing me to make a second trip to the store - a trip which will cost me more in gas and time than the $5 coupon was ever worth. Cost of gas and cost of time easily leaves me feeling economically punished for trying to be a CVS client. I then came home and escalated to the toll free Extra Care coupon question 800 line. After more time spent holding and explaining the issues, all they could do for me was to issue a coupon for an unknown "free CVS branded item". They do not know what the item will be and they do not know what the value of the item will be, its a prize that their excellent automated system will assign me. To find out either the value of the item or whether I need it at all, I will have to - you guessed it - visit the store again. Before the unknown offer expires. The 800 number has "reached out" to the District Manager, and I have asked if the District Manager has the authority to give me my $5 without all this hassle or not, but nobody knows if he/see can or will. They also assured me that they have documented this problem and thanked me for helping them to meet their customer's needs. Too bad they don't think its worth honoring their email offers and/or giving their managers the authority to honor head office's word at a cost of $5 a go. So I still like that they are open for prescriptions some two hours later every day than Rite Aid, but I'm not a fan of buying much else there in the store due to this hassle over what is essentially a bait and switch routine. read more

I will never step foot in this store again. Neither should any one who expects fair service I was a frequent customer to this location spending an average of $50.00-$75.00 a week. Last night I purchased a handfull of items including a pack of cigarettes. When I got home after a long day of work I noticed the cigarettes were not in the bag To be sure, I searched My car and home. But they were not there Usually I just accept the mistake. But I work hard for My money and felt I was entitled to what I paid for. So I returned to CVS with receipt in hand. I was told the Manager would review the tape of the transaction After 10 minutes a Manager walks out and mumbles that She saw the Cashier put the cigarettes in the bag. No offer for Me to see the video. She explained the sequence of events improperly as well. I stated that I was dissatisfied and the Manager stated with an unprofessional tone that She would review the tape again, as if doing Me some huge favor 10-15 more minutes passed. My time is more valuable than that. I bought another pack and told them that for $4.00, They lost a Customer who probably spent close to 3000.00 in the store the year before.. The Cashier mumbles how "She is so sure" that She put the cigarettes in the bag and that "two other Customers already apologized for claiming they had items missing" Seriously ? wow If a person walks out of a store with an unpaid item It is a theft and a crime But the store can omit an item You paid for, offer NO proof that they bagged the item,, and that's acceptable ? It is only if We accept POOR service Maybe My 50.00 a week means nothing to them But I write this review so that others may see how callous CVS is and how non-customer oriented they really are If enough of Us say "no more" to bad service, they eventually have to listen and react There are plenty of other choices to shop on General DeGaulle Avoid CVS and avoid bad service read more

Ok on some services but needs to remember that it is to be CUSTOMER SERVICE! There is a restroom and it is working. Do not lie. The pharmacy staff were kind enough to be honest when the manager lied about it. Most CVS stores have the restroom available to customers. read more

The slowest pharmacy experience EVER! If I was not stuck using CVS thru my insurance, I would have said adios long ago. A prescription called in two days in advance takes over 30 minutes to pick up. There is never a long line in the pharmacy, just slowness of service. They do not apologize for the wait or anything. I have never had an issue with this location until I had to speak with the pharmacy manager. I don't remember her name but she was extremely rude and almost seemed to be slurring her words. This was a red flag to me. I will most likely transfer my prescriptions to Walgreens. read more
