A wasted trip to CVS! My wife and I each needed a Hep B vaccine. A web search directed me to CVS and I then proceeded to make an appointment using their on-line scheduling website which had me fill out all of my personal and insurance information (it took a bit of time; but I figured they were being cautious to cover their bases). I even got a text confirming my appointment. So far, so good. Then we drove 20 minutes to the Nampa location (closest one that the website offered). Then we waited to check in for about 15 minutes because 1 person was handling a long line picking up prescriptions and another person was on his phone. Finally someone came over to check us in for vaccines. After requesting my Medicare card AND insurance card (which I had previously entered on-line), she tells me that there is a problem with coverage. Needed pre-approval. Was not very helpful. Also said I could pay cash price if I wanted to get it now. Later said she was very busy and couldn't help us anyway. Why would the website even give me an appointment after collecting all my data and then the store didn't honor it?! If they are short-staffed, the website should be adjusted accordingly. read more

I would not have bought this if the following hadn't occurred. Typical Sunday had a script to p/u, signs said pharmacy doesnt open until 11. Wandered around 45 minutes now the lights are on yet the pharmacy gates arent open. My companion waited in line as I finished wandering only to come find me to tell me that NOW (an hour after we arrived) there is a sign saying the pharmacy is closed. Found an employee asked what time does the pharmacy open. Employee tells us the pharmacy isn't opened on the weekends!!!! WHAT!!!! How long have the hours been no weekend pharmacy? A month or so. Fine. Confused, frustrated however nothing can be done obviously. Go to check out. There is NO CASHIER only the self check out registers with the person who monitors them. Line is 4 people away from running into the trading card/HABA display. A cashier is supposed to be on the way. 5 minutes later a very surly employee meanders to the registers. No smile. No acknowledgment of having to wait. NOTHING!!! The fact that we (customers) were annoying the cashier was very obvious. We apparently were keeping the cashier from something more important than working the register. Go to customer service and ask for a manager. Christian was the store employee who came up. Explained why we were requesting a Manager. We got the typical "Not our fault" "out of our control" "I complain all the time" "yes it's very frustrating" "corporate has been in and out multiple times". Even after explaining I don't shop at the store unless I'm picking up my medications. Why can't there at least be a sign at the entrance: Temporary pharmacy hours NO WEEKENDS?? Then I (the customer) can make an informed decision if I wish to browse the rest of the store or come back later. He all but shrugged his shoulders as he said yes I understand I've brought it up. I asked/offered is there a list I could add my name to so if superiors need another example of what a customer goes through I'd be glad to add my name. His response, yes I update it all the time. Then doesn't ask/take my info. He didn't ask the cashiers name or register. I understand that CVS runs the pharmacy. I also know this CVS has the WORST!!! ABSOLUTE worst staffing of any pharmacy I have ever been to. I'm stuck!! I don't have a choice! It's who my insurance is contracted with. I don't think it's asking to much that sufficient notification be posted for hours of operations. Just ridiculous. If the first employee is to be believed this has been happening FOR AT LEAST A MONTH!!!! Yet no one can put a sign on the front door? It's not like someone called in sick today and they are short staffed. They knew they weren't going to be opening the pharmacy today they know they aren't opening the pharmacy next weekend either. I guess I should be thankful that someone decided to put something up at 5 minutes to 11 even though I had been there 45 minutes already and you could only see the sign if you went to the counter where one had been placed on the monitor. How do I know it wasn't there earlier? When we first got there we walked over to the seating where you get the vaccines and looked at the posted hours. The sign posted was a corporate issued sign. Large. Legible with very clear hours stating Sunday the pharmacy opens at 11. In todays economy I don't think any business that relies so heavily on customer loyalty and satisfaction to stay open and make profits should be so blasé about things like this. I wonder what else negatively impacts customers and is currently on the "shoulder shrug" 'Oh well, sucks to be you' roster. Now I have a complaint to write to my insurance company. I would also add. NO WHERE in the text message letting me know my script was ready was there any information about hours changing/having changed. NOTHING!!!!! I would give negative stars if I could! read more

On hold for over an hour. Finally gave up and decided to go in person. Absolutely unacceptable. I have been in the store while the phone rings incessantly and the people standing there doing NOTHING act as if they can't hear it. Take your business elsewhere. These people don't care. read more

I waited on the phone for 30 mins to get a hold of someone to get my daughter her medication, I am in CA while my daughter is at school there. I called 2 weeks ago to get her medicine transferred, they said they were on it I gave them my email and phone number and have not received any notifications whatsoever. I called again today which is where I have waited on hold for 30 mins to get through to someone.... The man (def not a gentleman) that answered the phone was extremely rude and short with me, cutting me off multiple times and then placing me on hold without a word multiple times. He initially told me the cost of one of her medications which I then explained to him that she has health insurance which I had already provided when I called 2 weeks ago... He again abruptly put me on hold without a word to let me know that it was covered and gave me the amount for the co-pay. He said that they would need a card on file, sent a link and then tried to get off of the phone, I explained to him how long it took for me to get through and if he could please stay on the phone seeing as they had my number previously and I had never received any communication from them and I just need to ensure this gets taken care of today. He again puts me on an abrupt hold, meanwhile the link would not load for me to add my card, he came back and said in a tone as if I had just killed his dog that he didn't have a card showing.... I explained that it would not load, he cut me off to tell me to download the app.... I explained that I tried to tell him that I have the app already on my phone, but that he keeps cutting me off and I just need his help... I told him look I am in California and trying to get this taken care of for my daughter, I would come down in person if that wasn't the case, but I simply need his help and patience and asked can you please do that only to realize that he had just hung up on me. This call was made on wed june 14th at about 4:00 pm San diego time so 5ish Nampa time. it is now 4:46 (so 5:46 Nampa time) I spoke with a man working in the pharmacy, so hopefully if any upper management sees this they can handle this with that person who very clearly hates their life and is incapable of any kind of customer service much less human decency.... I have had negative experiences with CVS's in the past, but this one is def on the top of the list....I am back on hold with the pharmacy to try to speak to someone else. Please do not go to this CVS if you want to be treated with any kind of decency, I will be looking to see if there are other pharmacies in that area so I never have to waste my time with this place again. UPDATE: I have now been on hold again for 1 hour and 18 mins..... I am praying that our insurance will cover any other pharmacy this is such a joke, I have reached out to corporate and posted reviews I really hope that CVS looks at this since they are paying this man to represent CVS for them and this is clearly a consistent issue looking at the reviews it looks like many people have had issues with him as well as just with this location in general. read more

I have gone consistently for years and have never had an issue. I recently called (left a voicemail as that seemed to be the only way to "talk" to a pharmacist) because I needed a fax sent to my doctor. They called me back within 7 minutes and had already faxed what I needed to my doctor! read more

Terrible pharmacy. This pharmacist should be fired she just closed up in the middle of the day at 230 and walked away even though it was in line. I've been using this pharmacy for years without a problem. The one time my prescription wasn't ready when I showed up was when I came straight over from the doctor's office that's practically next door. I waited in line, the pharmacist said that it wasn't ready but that they would move my prescription to the priority list, and after shopping around for 15 minutes my prescription was ready to go. Every other time it's been a quick 5-10 minute wait in line and I get exactly what I need. Highly recommend! read more

Terrible customer service. Never answer phone and extremely slow filling scripts.

This is the worst pharmacy. The staff is extremely rude and totally inept at doing their jobs. You will get notification on your phone that your prescriptions are ready, get there, stand in line for 20 minutes, only to be told your prescriptions are not ready and can you come back the next day. Don't try to call, no one will answer the phone. Customer service is extremely poor. The worst I have ever experienced. read more

I called prescriptions in 3 days ago I got to stand in line for 20 min .tech comes up and said we haven't filled prescription I ask why didn't know come back to tomorrow, but wait let's puts all ins in again I stand 30 min he couldn't use computer another girl and a guy comes other was no help .Girl did info didn't work entered again Alex had put in wrong yr OMG. She tried to help but I had a refund coming they couldn't figure out . Phone rang all time I was there no one answers it .Waited on another pres and waited I finally said that's it this is the most inept people I have ever seen at pharmacy I would be afraid I had wrong prescription you guys can't even get the right name in computer . They never answer the phone. You will be on hold trying to get a hold of the pharmacy for an easy hour to 2 hours before someone will answer. It will take them a week to fill a prescription so it better not be something you desperately need. read more
