A wasted trip to CVS! My wife and I each needed a Hep B…read morevaccine. A web search directed me to CVS and I then proceeded to make an appointment using their on-line scheduling website which had me fill out all of my personal and insurance information (it took a bit of time; but I figured they were being cautious to cover their bases). I even got a text confirming my appointment. So far, so good. Then we drove 20 minutes to the Nampa location (closest one that the website offered). Then we waited to check in for about 15 minutes because 1 person was handling a long line picking up prescriptions and another person was on his phone. Finally someone came over to check us in for vaccines. After requesting my Medicare card AND insurance card (which I had previously entered on-line), she tells me that there is a problem with coverage. Needed pre-approval. Was not very helpful. Also said I could pay cash price if I wanted to get it now. Later said she was very busy and couldn't help us anyway. Why would the website even give me an appointment after collecting all my data and then the store didn't honor it?! If they are short-staffed, the website should be adjusted accordingly.

Even before I gave her NDC # she had a dismissive tone. From the moment I approached the counter, I was met with a dismissive attitude. So I stepped away to my favorite local coffee shop Harvesters and thought to talk to the manager. So I went back to get their business card. To make matters worse, when I asked for their business card the Pharmacist Brian gave a curt response and supporting Cathy's behavior. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, especially in a healthcare setting where patients deserve to feel respected and cared for. It's disappointing to see such a lack of courtesy and professionalism from someone in a role that requires patience and courtesy.

The staff are rude and condescending, and they make you feel like you are bothering them just by asking about a prescription. I would rather travel to Meridian or go to another pharmacy than return here. Management should seriously work with staff on improving customer service. After my experience today, I will be telling everyone I know to choose another pharmacy rather than subject themselves to this kind of treatment.
