They have fresh brewed iced tea, both sweet and unsweetened and most places only have the Lipton fountain tea. We heard they had surprisingly good biscuits and gravy, and went one morning to try that and a few other breakfast items. I would say surprisingly good- especially for a gas station! Better than a chain diner. We tried a breakfast roll that tasted like pizza crust wrapped around sausage, egg and cheese. This was our personal favorite. If you're stopping for gas and a snack, Maverick is good choice!

When you have a chain that has hundreds of stores, one thing makes the difference. The workers - all of them from the checkout to the Pharmacy. I can honestly say I don't think I've ever walked in here without a friendly hello, or an offer to assist me in what I'm there for. Not a pushy attitude, but merely a helpful one. I've only used he Pharmacy a few times, but they too have always been great to deal with. Just yesterday I smiled at the pharmacist coming out to help another customer find a product they inquired about, and watched as she made light of walking back and forth to find the item and forgetting exactly where it was. Everyone had a good laugh. I can't say they are the cheapest place, but for the few things in need like shampoo or shave cream, it's not outrageous enough for me to drive a few miles further to save 10 cents.
