My wife is a kidney transplant patient and relies on her anti-rejection pills to survive. Unfortunately, her Doctor's office sent the wrong dosage to the Socastee pharmacy, resulting in fewer pills than she needs. Medicare refused to pay for the increase in pills, so it would have been a $500 out-of-pocket expense. Phone calls to Medicare and her doctor's office failed to correct the problem, and she was down to her last few days of her anti-rejection medicine. So, it came down to paying $500 out of pocket for a mistake that the doctors office made or going 15 days without medication until Medicare would honor the prescription; which could have been life-threatening. And then came phamacist Victoria M. at the Socastee CVS. Literally a lifesaver. Somehow, she was able to get us enough of the medication to last until it was approved by Medicare, at zero cost. Dont ask me how, somehow angels can make it happen, and that is what Victoria is, an Angel. It is so refreshing, in this day and age to interact with people that care, truly care about your misfortune, and then do everything in their power to help you. Did we get that from Medicare or the doctors office, NO!. We got that from a polite , unassuming, Angel at the CVS in Socastee. Will Victoria get the recognition that she deserves? Probably not. Does she care if she does, again, probably not. But I won't forget what Victoria did, nor will the place where all Angels come from forget either. read more

CVS Pharmacy - Bad - Drugstores Near Me - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Always helpful and kind at the pharmacy. Speedy service, especially considering their jobs at needing to be accurate.

It is no surprise they have lots of negative reviews. I was only using them for convenience because they were close, even though the pharmacist tech Lisa, who tries to act like she is a pharmacist, is the rudest, most unprofessional person and should not be in customer service. They have made many mistakes on their side, that I let go because I'm too busy to care about, but now that Lisa has been completely rude and unprofessional once again, I have to write a review. There are so many other CVs' in the area, I strongly recommend you don't go to this CVS to put yourself through lisa's rude behavior.... Lisa is the absolute worst, Non-people person out there and should not be in the customer service business. She is driving your customers away CVS, and every time I go there I see her being rude to other customers and we all just shake our heads wondering why do we put up with this when we don't need to. I have a feeling she will not be there very long since everyone I know has been just putting up with her and not writing a review to be nice... At least become a pharmacist if you're going to try to act like one. read more

Always peasant at the pharmacy. I enjoy going there! THEY will help you hunt down an elusive prescription which seems to have gone into hiding! read more

This is the MOST rudest customer service I've experienced. Will be moving prescriptions ASAP. Everyone is miserable, you feel like your doing something wrong. All they say is NAME! SPELL IT, DOB! It's just the worst, I leave there with a pit in my stomach. Don't serve the public, if you so obviously hate it. read more

Best experience I've had in a pharmacy store. Everyone was friendly and seemed to enjoy working there. I was often asked if I needed help and was escorted to where I needed to go instead of just pointing. As a hospitality professional, I appreciated seeing this service still alive. The store was clean and well organized. read more

This CVS is so convenient to the Socastee/Market Common area. The pharmacy offers a drive through which really makes it nice when I have the dogs in the car. The staff were friendly and were all wearing their mask. read more

Thank you for always being so helpful at the pharmacy. Made an appointment with Walgreens for a vaccine showed up and they were out of it. CVS down the street had it and gave me a walk in appointment in less than 5 minutes thank you CVS!! read more

Phenomenal service! Kassie helped me so much when I need help with a prescription! Thank you for taking the time!"

Since this location is almost walking distance from my home, I have gone back several times since my last review. During these visits they were courteous and quick to fill my prescription. Hopefully it stays this way read more

There's so much competition and so many choices I sincerely recommend & even urge you to become a customer at any other pharmacy than this one. I was prescribed an injectable medication for migraines. They filled the order for the medication & when I got home to put things away, I noticed they had forgotten my needles. So I picked my son up after school & made my way back up to the pharmacy to retrieve the missing needles. They looked at me like I was speaking out of my forehead. They said the medication was an all in one with needles inside the injectables. I assured them that they were incorrect & should have received 25 gauge needles just like every other time I pick up this prescription. I asked them to look at their stock there in the store to see for themselves. I was told that they sold me the last of their supply. Moreover they asked me to go back home, pick up my prescriptions and bring them back to show the pharmacist; basically calling me a liar & implying that I'm a street drug user that's in need of syringes. These are not syringes, just lur lock needles that lock onto the medication capsule. So even if I wanted to fill them with a street drug, that task would be impossible! Anyway, I go home and bring the medication back with an example of what they dispersed to me last time I got my prescription filled with them (the 25 gauge needle). The pharmacist says: "Huh, will you look at that!" Then he goes back to look for the needles that belong with my prescription & returns to say: "I'm sorry, we're out & won't have any until Monday." I'm irate at this point. He didn't offer me an apology for calling me a liar & embarrassing me in front of other customers. Nor did he apologize for the inconvenience of driving back up there 3 times in total, once at his specific request! This experience was a mockery of what any professional establishment is suppose to be. And a downright disgrace of customer service! Needles to say, I go to Rite Aid now! read more

This establishment is a joke, i've been bringing my kids here since they opened and they have been declining worse and worse on how they handle their patients. If I was a parent I would take them to any other CVS but this one. read more

Always seems to be busy; The parking lot full, and the drive thru pharmacy packed with cars. I've gone in once to pick up a prescription for someone. As long as you have their D.O.B., they don't question that you are that person who's prescription it is. I find the drive thru handy for when you have children with you and you don't want to lug them in and out of the car. Clean store, nice staff! read more

We have used CVS for 20+ years. We moved here a year ago and the CVS on Socastee Blvd provides, or rather DOESNT provide, such poor service we are taking our business elsewhere. It is evident they don't care about patients and quite possibly may not know about the medications they are selling. If they did I am fairly certain they would go the extra mile to assure patients didn't miss doses. They do not call other pharmacies to attempt to get needed meds, etc. In short, my advice is to use any other pharmacy than this one. read more

This CVS has always had problems but after my experience getting my Covid shot I'll NEVER be back. Both shots started off the same: You make an apt online and check in online when you arrive. I, as well as other, waited in line for 30 inline for our 3:45 apts. If that was the only problem, it wouldn't have been a problem. But this is my second shot and the SECOND time they were late/behind. My first shot I met with a nice tec who welcomed me into a free standing partition to have a seat. He did not change his gloves or wipe the seat down. He took my temp, asked me a couple questions and filled out a card for my shot. He use the tablet to record some of my personal information and then asked me to sign the tablet- I was hesitant to do so because I could see the fingerprints all over. He then gave me the shot and asked me to sit down in a waiting area for 15 mins. I watched him welcome the next patient into the same small 4x4 area and still hadn't changed his gloves. I was TOLD (by a worker) to sit and wait for 15 minuets, guessing that was to ensure I took to the shot okay. Then they offered a few of us snacks and water while we waited. Very nice and thoughtful. A little kid came up to the refreshment and touched every package and bottle, he was cute but young. No one coached him, they just glared at the child until he ran off to find his parent. Few minuets go by and I see the same 'worker' pumping sanitizer into a paper towel to clean a chair a patient had just left. A few minuets later, another person got up to leave and she grabs the SAME USED PAPER TOWEL, pumps MORE sanitizer on the towel and wipes the seat down. When my timer is up, I was asked if I feel okay, I respond yes she said 'Umk you can go' and walked away. I watched these workers and felt uneasy about having been here. For my second shot: When I get into the 'Consultation Room' the was sanitizing her gloves. . Why not just CHANGE a your gloves? She took my temp and was using a tablet to record patient information. She to asked me to sign the screen and I was uneasy about doing so- it didn't look dirty but she was sanitizing her gloves so who knows? I get the shot I'm instructed to sit and wait for 15 minutes and I see the same woman wiping down chairs from last time. This time she's using a singleserve sanitizing wipes but her attitude is 10 times worse. I'm leaving feeling like I should have made the decision to go somewhere else, anywhere else. The issues that we had at the CVS is customer service; but with this experience I'm adding the 'opportunity' to work on there standards, professionalism and sanitation. The kicker I had tried to call and speak with a regional manager and never got a call back. I'm providing this feedback here to help protect others in my community and provide this sense of awareness. If you're from out of town there's a another CVS further down 17 just just a few miles or you can go to the neighborhood Walmart which is just around the corner about five or six minutes from here. To the regional manager I left a message for: I'd still really like to talk to you feel free to give me a call back whenever you're available. read more

I took my prescription into CVS and on the script it said "OK to substitute for Generic". They gave me they Generic and charged me the brand name price! They did this more than once and also done this to my wife! I have the AARP Discount Plan and they tell you what the prices are before you go, unfortunately my wife had to pick it up because I was too sick to do it myself! I'll never go in there again!!! read more

Drive-through service is horrible. Last month, my husband had two prescriptions due within a day of each other. He called the pharmacy to ensure that both scripts were ready. When I went to the drive-through a few hours later, one was not ready and for some reason had been put back on the shelf. They had to process it all over again. Today, when I went to the store, I had a CVS coupon for two free items plus 2.00 extra bucks. I also had a prescription. I ended up paying for the prescription PLUS 3.50 extra on the free items. I didn't realize this until I was home as the receipt is sent to my email. I called the manager and she offered to make it right, but it would have involved me going out of my way for her, even though THEY were the ones to make the mistake. I am immunosuppressed and try to limit my contact with everyone. To make it right, I would have had to go back. Not worth it, poor service and follow-up. I would not have written this bad review, but this is the 4th time something.Ike this has happened at this store in the past 6 months. read more

You can't get better service than at this CVS. It is a busy store, with a great pharmacy staff and even a new nursing clinic (which may be why some of the selection has gotten tighter.... However I don't believe it is any less than the other stores in the area) The store is clean and front girls always welcome you, willing to help. I love coming here for the staff, they really treat you like family. I get all of my prescriptions there and they always say hello and my name when I come in, as well as assist with a few issues I've had with my doctor. The manager is also very present and approachable, I see her talking to customers like they're a real neighborhood shop instead of a chain. This cvs is the best! read more

I have been a CVS person for decades; first for my 42 years in Ohio and now for 2+ years in MB. I never had anything by great service in Ohio. Here it has been a different story. Today I went in to pick up an RX refill the automated service told me was being filled. I got there and was told by a pharma tech it needed a refill. I explained that the bottle and my RX from 3 months ago both state a 12 month supply. I was met with no comment. She did, however, get into the computer and came back with saying they sent the refill request to my dr on 6/30 and hadn't gotten a response. I explained that I was completely out of a medication you can't just stop taking. In Ohio, that would have led to a 5-day supply to hold me over while waiting for the RX. Here, it meant TS, apparently, because again, no response from the clerk except that I should call my dr. I called my dr and they had never received a request for the refill and confirmed that I had, indeed, a 12-month prescription. Oh, well. Walmart filled it in 10 minutes. read more

I'd like to give it more stars because they have a great staff and their pharmacy department is excellent, very fast and happy to help. I will continue to shop here b/c it is so close to my home, however, as far as inventory they are the worst CVS I've ever been to. Small selection, and every time I shop here I find products that are expired. I mean waaay expired. Food, cold medicine, makeup... The worst was on my last trip there I was shopping for foundation and right before I was about to pay I noticed that it had expired in 2013. Nearly 2 years ago!!! That is ridiculous. Be sure to check the expiration dates on all your purchases. read more

I was in there last week to get my flu shot. Very busy, but I was in and out in 20 minutes. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Today, I was going through the drive-through to pick up a prescription when my car went dead. Fella saw me pushing it to the side, ran and got his car and helped me jump it. Turned out he worked there, his name is Brad Allison, and he was not working. Just happen to be in there and ran to give me a hand. Above and beyond. Thank you Brad. read more
