Katrina at this store and Ben in Socastee are a dream. Katrina didn't have my husbands eye drops available so she called Ben at the Socastee store and asked him to expedite the prescription. Pharmacy staff was very nice and friendly. Very busy pharmacy. I like that I get txt msg about my prescriptions and Walgreens app is easy to use to refill my prescriptions. At least I can call and talk to someone vs. CVS now only option is to leave a msg and wait for them to call you back. read more

Had to go to Walmart to get my needles for my novalin r, n novalin n because they won't sell them to you if you don't buy their $150 insulin. Walmart was out of needles so ended up having to wait til next day but got them from Walmart. Don't buy anything from this store Hopefully they will go out of business read more

It depends on who you are obviously. I am a very patient person and was not getting meds but still took 30 mins with two cashiers and a manager. Maybe I would've felt better if I hadn't waited in line to do two transactions, manager was unavailable to complete second transaction voluntarily stepped out of line so others didn't have to wait only for a cashier to allow someone else to come in front of at a dif register that needed a little more time than a normal checkout. There wasn't a thanks for your patience no apologies just this is our customer service deal with it. read more

Above and beyond! Liz the store manager went above and beyond for me and was very patient. I lost a piece of jewelry and was trying to track down where I might have lost it. She was willing to comb through security footage when she had a moment. Although, I found the bracelet (at the bottom of my winter cloths box in storage, mind you) I really appreciate the willingness to help out a stranger during peak season. read more

Have been using this Walgreens for a few years now. Finally remembered to Yelp it! The store is always neat and well stocked. The staff has always been pleasant and helpful. We have never had a long wait and when we refill prescriptions online, it is nice to go right to the drive up window. It also has a good loyalty card program where you get points for cash toward next purchase. Great place to shop. read more

By far the worst pharmacy. Always understaffed and wait times are horrendous. I've easily waited for an hour to get prescriptions in the past. Most recently, I was in line before 7pm and as soon as I pulled to the window at 7:02 they immediately closed the gate and walked away. Take your prescriptions to CVS or Kroger! read more

Had to pick up some photos for someone at this Walgreens as I was driving by. They have 1-hour photo printing! The order was ready when I walked in. I gave the name, she handed me the photos, I paid, and left. Super fast, super easy! The store seemed clean, the employees seemed nice and acknowledged me walking in and leaving. I have used this pharmacy for ~ two years. I am on many meds, and have used a variety of pharmacies in South Carolina, Long Island New York, and Syracuse New York. I have found the staff/service at this Walgreens to be extremely courteous, professional, knowledgeable and timely. Yes, on occasion, a prescription is not ready at the expected time. However, when this occurs, the staff will expedite filling it immediately. I find it generally helps to look at the chart which shows the busiest hours and avoid those times. Kudos to the pharmacy staff who, in addition to adhering to the many regulations, both federal and state, related to prescription meds, (and not just controlled substances), have to deal with reaching physicians, (a nightmare), as well as a multitude of insurance companies, each with their own set of rules and regulations. Add on to that the many drug apps offering coupons, the large number of "snowbirds" transferring prescriptions from another state, and the significant increase in prescribed drugs per person over the last 20 years, and it's a miracle anything gets filled in a timely manner. I have found both the Pharmacy Assistants and the Pharmacists at this particular Walgreens very knowledgeable and helpful regarding patient education related to individual medications and potential drug/food interactions. Filling a prescription is not simply a matter of counting pills and putting them in a vial. My experiences at this particular Walgreens have always been positive. read more

I arrived around 3:35pm to inquire on a price for a prescription that I had a coupon for, the woman told me to sit down and she would take care of it. I sat in the waiting area, which can be seen from where she was standing. I sat patiently because I seen they were very busy so I was being patient. At 4pm, after the women had helped at least 5 other customers, I walked the two steps it took me to the counter and she simply said come back later or call for the price. Not giving me any type of update. I came back a few hours later and while standing in line the power went out in the store. The workers told all the customers we had to leave because of the power outage. I again, was very patient because I understand, things happen. I came back a third time at around 7:30 pm and I asked a different clerk if she can give me a price, the same simple question I had asked the previous clerk. She then looked it up and give me a price at the moment. Then she proceeds to tell me that my other three prescriptions had been filled. I looked at her in a puzzling look because I had never asked for 3 prescriptions to be filled. I originally had 4 prescriptions but only inquired about the price of 1. I then tell the one with red hair, who had helped me the first time, the situation and she proceeds to make excuses. She then tells me if I don't want them I don't have to take them. I tell her my experience and she shrugs it off and explains to me that she is new. Then she goes on to explain that she has to put the prescriptions in the computer in order to find out the price. Then I again explain to her that I was never notified that I put in a prescription in the first place. It was the worst experience I have ever had at a pharmacy. Not only did the clerk brush me off and have me sitting there but she made excuses instead of simply apologizing. If she would have admitted her mistake and apologized, I wouldn't be writing this. But because the clerk, with the red hair, didn't apologize I will use every respectable method, to let everyone know about the terrible service that I received. OH and to top it all off, when I got home and opened the bag, the pharmacy gave me my prescription AND one of my refills. Although I never asked for the prescription to be filled in the first place, it wasn't even filled right. read more

I've been using this walgreens for 5 years now, since I moved down to the beach. Service has been amazing every time. Did have one issue with the customer service in the pharmacy but one issue in 5 years is no biggie for me. There's a cashier that has been there since I started going there that knows all his regulars by name and always greets you with a smile and hug. It just takes the customer service experience to the next level. To be honest I probably would have switched to a closer pharmacy if it wasn't for him. I wish I knew his name to give him the credit he deserves. read more
