I left a voicemail asking to schedule an appointment for my mother-in-law and when she called me back, she immediately assumed we were "browsers" and basically said she wouldn't book an appointment unless we were committing to buy a wig over the phone, before coming in, sight unseen. This was the first wig shop I called, and our experience was a negative one. I gather if you aren't a current cancer victim in desperate need of hair today, she doesn't want your business. Even if I had cancer, I wouldn't want to put myself in this woman's hands. So we will go elsewhere. I've never had a vendor call me and treat me that way. There are at least 2 other local shops and we already scheduled an appointment for today with a friendly, receptive shop.

Got a superb haircut/styling from Marie, which is not easy when one has very short hair--clipped on the sides, scissored & tousled on the top. The transition has to be seamless; the angling on the top--esp. with straight hair/no natural wave or curl--for finger-styling has to be expert. Otherwise I'd look like a nursing home patient w. a bad pixie cut or a biker w. Helmet-hair or a dude w. breasts in female clothing w. a Mohawk. Am very happy + shop is clean & cute & welcoming.

It certainly was not ever going to look like my hair, but I think she did a nice job adding long layers and cutting off the damaged ends. The stylist listened, gave an honest assessment of what to expect, and provided a nice haircut. It's a cute, clean salon. I wanted a mani while she got a haircut, but the mani person wasn't there that day. I found that a lot when trying to find a salon to do both services. A haircut is $55 which includes shampoo and style. Check into yelp for a 10% discount! Worth it!

I wanted my icy platinum (extremely damaged) hair refreshed with a root touch-up and to get k-tips. Now, please keep in mind that the entire back layer of my hair is like 3 inches long from breakage. Any respectable hair stylist would have just said no, and I realize that now. But not Mirage. The photos speak for themselves. The first several are the way she initially sent me home, which is just laughable lol. The next ones are after she "fixed" it i.e. just took the super visible bonds out, but there's still absolutely no blend and it looks atrocious. I went somewhere else to have them taken out and this stylist was utterly appalled not only that they did this service at all with my hair in its current condition, but the technique was extremely sloppy and so tight I was getting sores on my scalp. I asked for a partial refund for the extensions and they refused, so I disputed it with my bank. Also, they lifted my roots to straight up YELLOW and told me to just "use purple shampoo" as if it works that way. You didn't lift it enough... at least they refunded me for that part. ALSO, they charged me $1300 for hair that I later found out costs like $700, they just pocketed the extra. Like ok... Unless you are getting something extremely simple done, AVOID.

Next, she took me back to the shampoo bowl. She washed and conditioned my hair and gave me the best head massage ever as she was washing. She took her time with my haircut. I had about three inches cut off and layers added. She was very thorough with checking to make sure the layers were even. She did a blowout and style at the end. I left looking and feeling refreshed. I appreciated her attention to detail from start to finish. I will definitely be back.
