I cannot tell you how jealous I am of my mother for having such a HELPFUL CVS near her. The lady that helped us out with my transferred prescriptions was angelic. I usually go to Burlington CVS as that is where I live. Due to some medical issues I am having to stay with a relative here in Durham for a while. I needed to get some new scripts filled and did t want to inconvenience my mother by driving to and fro to Burlington so we got them transferred to this location. My mother was known at this CVS due to her frequent COVID testing and we were delighted that one of her favorite workers was at the window to help us. She quickly understood the problem and came up with a unique solution so that I could get the medication that had been prescribed. All without any fuss or complaint. What a treat! I will be sad when I have recovered enough to go home as I will miss these wonderful people! read more

I was just shopping in this CVS and a worker there walked right into me on one of the aisles. I said excuse me while she said absolutely nothing. I then go to the register to checkout and the same employee comes to ring me up. Her name tag said Susan. She was rude and abrasive at the register. She announced that my credit card was declined before I even took my card out of my wallet. I told her I had not used my card yet and she said 'well something beeped'. I have no idea what she was talking about and I'm pretty certain that she doesn't either. I feel I was over charged so I asked if I could see the receipt. She laid the receipt on the counter under my outstretched hand. I just left because I can not see that this situation could possibly get better. read more

The wait time just to speak with a pharmacist can be ridiculously long. Today, I waited on hold for 20 minutes just for the call to be disconnected. That was the last straw. Judie has to be one of the friendliest and nicest people on earth. No matter how grumpy I am she can always make me smile and laugh. This site is generally quite friendly (I've been greeted and offered assistance 100% of my visits) but Judie is the icing and even the sprinkles on top. Pharmacy is terribly overworked but they're very friendly and always highly apologetic. I just feel bad for them as they are always working as fast as they can. read more

All CVS pharmacies suck. I've been so dissatisfied with them that I even wrote a letter to corporate. Their response?, had a local rep call me once! I didn't speak with her because I knew it would not do any good. I had previously complained to store managers, head pharmacists etc. This lack of customer service is a corporate mindset. They don't care at all about the individual customer, it's all about volume and money. The only way this will change is if they see a decrease in profits. Do what I did and transfer all of your prescriptions to a small pharmacy. I did and haven't had one complaint! Customer service is great and they, unlike CVS, actually give a damn! Staff is fine. Most are really super friendly. A couple are quieter, I think due to language barrier. But no one is rude. Why would Steven B cancel a transaction and walk out just because someone wasn't pleasant enough? It's just a sales transaction, not a therapy session. They're not there to entertain you. Every time I go to this location there is an issue with something. The staff is not pleasant/friendly. Today I went in again, only because they are so convenient to me, and again had an issue. The cashier was not pleasant, nor helpful. I was so frustrated, I just canceled the transaction and left. Dropped in last Saturday to get a disposable camera developed -- old-school, I know. I had to wait at the front check-out to get an employee to help me, since no one was manning the Photo Center. After the last customer in line checked out, the female employee conversed with me and led me over to the desolate Photo Center. We discussed what I wanted -- single 6" x 4" prints and a photo CD -- which ended up totaling around $14. Unfortunately, she informed me that it would take longer to develop the photos, since they were having problems with the machine. She asked me when I wanted to pick the photos up, and I told her whatever was best for her -- I'm not one to be pushy. So my photos turned out to be ready the next day, almost 24 hours later -- so the "1-hour photo" claim does not exist here. The next day, after receiving a phone call that my prints were ready, I dropped in to pick them up. I had unfortunately lost my "claim" slip at a brewery, but the same lady was working and she recognized me (I also had my voicemail message proof, just in case). I was disappointed that only seven of my photos turned out of my 27... but it was my fault for not figuring out the "flash" button was on the front (hard to do when slightly inebriated). Horrible product design if you ask me. I had anticipated some of my photos not coming out, but I was irritated that I didn't get the those darker photos on my CD -- I had preplanned to doctor them in Photoshop... My payment turned out to be around $10 for 7 photos and a CD with the same 7 photos -- I guess I got $4 off for not getting my other 20 photos. It was nice to get a bit of a discount, but I wanted my other non-flash photos... Service-wise, the employee who assisted me was top-notch and super friendly. I'll be back again, but probably not for photo development. read more

If you like slow prescriptions to be filled and a busy pharmacy that is understaffed come here. They are constantly out of meds. Don't try calling you will be on wait for 20+ minutes. I have switched to CVS at Target and also the one on Wake Forest Road seem to be better. read more

It's too bad that I can't give them a ZERO Star rating! The Pharmacy staff have demonstrated incompetence on several occasions. Recently, when we inquired about the status of one important prescription refill, we received three difference answers from three different Pharmacy staff members. Due to their misleading information, we drove to the CVS to pick up our prescription, only to be turned away because they had never order the medication with which to fill our prescription. This CVS failed to fulfill their promise to have our prescription ready for pickup on at least two other occasions over the past couple of years. I walked in a prescription for painkillers I desperately needed due to an obvious medical issue. After confirming with the pharmacist that I was waiting in store for the estimated 20 minutes I waited patiently for 30 minutes before asking where my prescription was. IT WAS READY AND WAITING BUT THEY DIDN'T NOTIFY ME. Call me crazy but it seems like common courtesy to notify someone in obvious pain that their prescription for painkillers is ready. read more

SLOW SLOW SLOW! I am a pharmacy technician so I know what goes into filling a prescription. I called in at 12:30 to get my birth control refilled. I asked him if he had a certain manufacture and stock. He put me on hold and went to grab it saying yes we do. Since I am a pharm tech I know that all you have to do is slap a label on it and get the pharmacist to check it. He said it'll be ready after 6:30. THAT IS 6 HOURS!!! IT LITERALLY TAKES MAYBE 5 SECONDS TO GET THIS TO THE CUSTOMER!! read more

The people at this location are friendly, but the service is very slow. I have dropped off prescriptions several times in the morning to be later picked up by my husband on his way home from work. NEVER once has the order been ready by the time my husband gets there. He ends up having to wait 30-40 min for them to fill it once he's there. They also call and leave messages way too often. I have told them to stop calling me regarding certain prescriptions, but the problem has never been resolved. I wish I could go back to Walgreens!! read more

Asked to get a flu shot and was told I would have to wait 25 minutes, so I said I would come back in 25. Returned in 30 and was told I would have to wait another 20 to 25 minutes before I could get one. Been putting up with slow service and subpar customer service for a long time, this was the last straw, moving my business to one of their competitors. read more

This is the absolute worse CVS I have ever visited because majority of the staff is racist and I'm so serious. Don't even think about having a large purse like me. As if it's any of their business but I have a extra large MK purse so that all I have to do is throw what I need in there for my 13 month old. I don't want to carry a book bag or baby bag into every store so it makes sense to me to just get a large purse to carry everything. That was my first mistake, second mistake was having a bag for my coupons. The manager and the associate who are both either Native American or Arabian followed me around the entire store and then has the never to ask to check my bags before I left the store. I don't have a single reason to steal anything but because I'm African American and had 2 bags in my possession I must be up to something. I can't even go into all the details of what happened but just know, the entire front end staff including the manager Sunny should be fired for racially profiling African American customers. read more
