It was a wonderful exchange as I often feel exasperated with low to no stock on quality supplements at any Walmart. And they will take my "U"card benefits where the local health food store will not. So, out of pocket means a supplement and no food. The extra time, attention, and thoughtfulness would only be matched by my local store. To know this will happen, not be able to get my medicine because some idiot rude employee didn't do his job. I have complained to Walmart and they hung up on me. I did however tape the whole conversation so I could PROVE I was not being rude. This isn't the first time they have left me without medication on a weekend either. One would think that since I started trying to get it on Wednesday morning at 10:15 am that they could get it right by 6:00 pm on Friday. It's a case of pure and simple NEGLECT ON WALMART'S part. I can only say that this was a pretty straightforward grocery store, with everything you'd expect. We were looking for food for the next day, and were limited to a mini fridge and microwave in our hotel room, so we perused many an aisle for ideas. Being sapped from the sun, we probably spent more time here than necessary before settling on fried chicken, a salad, and some wraps. It's not my daily store so I can't give you the nuanced in and outs, but it's a grocery store full of groceries plain as can be, and that's all I needed it to be.

I was surprised by some of the prices, so I checked my receipt against current average grocery prices in Colorado. It turns out our total was approximately 15% higher than the Colorado average. Of course, this is a mountain town, so you expect prices to be a bit higher. But some items were significantly more expensive. A few examples: Chobani yogurt: ($9.49 vs. $6.49 average) Cherub tomatoes: ($5.99 vs. $3.99 average) Fairlife milk: ($7.49 vs. $5.99 average) Havarti cheese: ($8.49 vs. $6.40 average) Looking back, there were definitely a few things I should have skipped. The shopping experience itself could have been better, too. They were restocking shelves while we were there, and there were boxes and merchandise that we had to maneuver our cart around. One item I wanted was behind a pile of things waiting to be stocked. I was trying to get to it, but the stocker completely ignored me. Not cool. Lesson learned: Double-check prices when shopping in small mountain towns, and buy only the items you absolutely need.

I politely asked him not to, and he laughed. When I returned the trailer, I was unhooking the safety chains at the designated return area. Steve came out onto the balcony, started yelling at me, called me a "f***** Cu**," and threatened to charge me additional fees. I've worked with countless businesses while traveling full-time across the country, and I've never been spoken to like that by a customer-facing employee. Equipment was fine. The customer service was one of the most unprofessional interactions I've had. I won't be renting U-Haul equipment from this location again.
