While staying in Minneapolis, I stopped into a close-by Walgreens to get a few items. I have alway seen locations in downtowns and this one was right around the corner from where I was staying. I am always pleased when I am properly greeted when I walk through the door. I am especially happy when a clerk or cashier look up from what they are doing to acknowledge a customer walking through the door. This store, like other Walgreens is big and bright with clean isles to navigate through. This incredibly delightful staff was over the top in greetings. Happy to see a customer. Happy to help a customer. Happy to speak with a customer. I needed a few items ranging from water to shaving cream. They had plenty of items to choose from and I pleased that their house brand is a substantially reduced price and the same item. Check out went very quickly and I received the same cordial greeting as I left as when I came in. The team member behind the counter just personified the model employee of engagement, spreading happiness and loving to be able to help. Kudos to a wonderful team here at Walgreens.

My issue with these stores that lock up almost ALL of the products is why do they never have staff…read moreworking around the store to open the cases? I'm aware it's to prevent theft but no matter how much I need or want a product there's a level of inconvenience I'm not willing to tolerate. There was one cashier and a line of 6+ people, was I was supposed to wait for the the ever growing line for that one employee to assist me? I walked around the store 2x and never seen an employee on the sales floor, just a cashier up front. Also some products I need to see the package/read it before committing or even compare it sometimes look up prices or other info so the stress of having to have someone wait while I decide is too much. Also brings a level of discomfort that if things are that bad you shouldn't shop there. Walgreens in general is not my choice or retailer for anything really but I'm sure there's people in this area that rely on them and I hope they find a way to combat theft, hire more people to work the floor and provide a better sense of community.

The pharmacy manager at this location is probably the most unprofessional person I have ever encountered, she is extremely rude and condescending at every encounter we have had, in fact, our doctor has requested that we change pharmacies several times due to the constant issues with this pharmacy and the so-called manager at this facility. Do NOT ever bring someone you love to this pharmacy; they are horrible humans. There is also a "wanna" be CLERK; who has is not a pharmacist and is always giving medical advice, speaking out loud about your health, in front of other customers, I think this poor girl feels so inadequate about herself, that she likes to pretend she is more important. Guess I should have waited to pay my bill so they had a reason to pretend to care about my health concerns.

I parked on the street. It's paid parking. I figured out later on that Target has its own lot that's kind of hidden to me. Oh, well. I know now. Think of this Target as a subset of a typical mega Target store. It's smaller in size, but it has everything you truly need. It's geared towards students and residents in the area who can walk over to it, as opposed to a shopper in suburbia hauling way too much stuff into a minivan. There was a ton of Lego merchandise. I assume that Target has a partnership with Lego. It was cool seeing Lego reusable bags and apparel. What stood out for me was the grocery section. It was impressive. There was lots of variety. I particularly loved the selection of sugar-free items. I ended up getting some Lily's chocolates. It also has Zevia in the pop aisle. If you're into PopSockets, they are heavily reduced here. I got one with lemons and it was $3. Ridiculous! You can get apparel here, but it's limited. If you get your wardrobe from Target, you'd be better off going to a larger Target store. Staff are super friendly here. I had a woman cash out my items. There are also self-checkouts, but I like ones with people more. It's a decent store and it much needed for locals in Dinkytown. A large two story retail store located in the Target plaza campus (near the Nicolet Mall) in…read moredowntown Minneapolis, this location serves as the Flagship Target. It has an urban footprint, with shopping cart escalators. As mentioned, it is connected to the rest of the Target campus (3 city blocks) via skyways, which is itself connected to the rest of the 2.5 mile Minneapolis skyway system. Groceries were on the bottom floor (along with a Starbucks), with the CVS branded pharmacy and OTC items on the top. There is checkout on both floors. It wasn't too crowded, but well staffed on a Thursday afternoon, and was able to buy some items that we needed for our trip.
