It's improving, I think. The last time I went to pick up a prescription they opened right at 9am and there were three pharmacists working plus another in training. A few months ago it was dicey whether they'd open on time and there were usually just two pharmacists working. I did hear them talking about how the walk-in clinic there is basically contracted to a private company and they have nothing to do with it. I also heard them say it was closed on a Friday which strikes me as super odd. They've replaced the carpeting and in general have made the place easier to navigate and less depressing. read more

I am diagnosed with ADHD depression and anxiety. All my life I have been deemed an outcast and deviant because of my neurodivergent tendencies. I am disheartened that even as a 54 year old woman with an educational background in social work and psychology still feel the judgement of the pharmacist to make me feel like I am a deviant for requesting a refill on prescribed medication 7 days too early. I recently used CVS' pharmacy's drive thru Covid testing option. It was very simple and easy to schedule online and results were timely uploaded to my account online (and negative ). The pharmacy tech who walked me through self administrating the test was very patient and kind through every step of the process even with a full drive thru. She also answered all of my questions and concerns. read more

Ordered pictures, they were not printed 4 hours after ordered, 2 hours after their pickup time. When I arrived to pick them up the manager was unhelpful, unapologetic and generally rude. Will never use photo service or shop here again as management is unprofessional, non-communicative and unable to take responsibility for their poor service. read more

I have to second a statement by another reviewer -- why have I been going across the street when this CVS was here all along!? This (24-hour) location is really, really large and very well-kept. I actually appreciate a carpeted convenience store, it somehow makes it warmer and more pleasant. They seem to have good deals and prices, and pretty much everything you could *need*... even in this time of pandemic the shelves were all fully stocked (yes, including toilet paper). It was a lightbulb, candles, snacks, and battery run for us. The staff weren't exactly smiley, but hey much appreciation and thanks to them for working at this time! We walked here the other day, but parking is super easy with a big lot attached. It is however, located on a one-way street so you may need to go around. Worst pharmacy ever My 4 yr old was very sick with strep and had a prescription called in. When I called to see if it was ready an hour after the sr sent it they said they didn't have it in the system. Then 2 hours later when I called they said they didn't have amoxicillin. Didn't call me to tell me they just waited for me to call them. The rude pharmacist on the phone said I could maybe go to CVS Cudahay the "might" have it. I called the drs office and had them send it to Walgreens right across the street and they had it ready to pick up in 20 min. I don't know about other CVS locations but this one is horrible. I had another experience they tried to give me suboxone when I am not prescribed it and said it was for someone else with my name that starts with C and mine with K. How about look at the LAST name. OMG why have I been going to the Walgreens across the street to buy snacks when CVS is here? We don't really have CVS where I'm originally from and I'm not as famIliar with it as Walgreens and that's probably why. On a lot of variables---overall condition of the store, employees, personal care products, weird impulse-buy items by the registers, etc--the two are roughly equal. But for a drugstore CVS's grocery game is on point. I'll usually stop at a grocery store for a few little snacks--nuts, string cheese, beef sticks. CVS has a nice selection of these things. Tonight I picked up some tempura nori crisps that had won some snack food award. But they also have a nice array of soups and noodle bowls and things that would make a good desk lunch. I saw a few organic and natural items. Also I'm a cat food snob. A couple cans of Rachael Ray Nutrish will tide us over. I signed up for their rewards program because I also have the Walgreens one and, well, why not? It's free and who doesn't like deals? Even if sometimes you save more by not buying anything. Also I bought a lottery ticket for the first time in awhile. There's a machine by the door. Wish me luck. read more

Good enough but a bonus star for being open 24 hours. Slightly different layout that's a bit more "grocery store" than "drug store" with aisles and end-cap displays. Check-out was quick enough, but I timed it so that there wasn't anyone else waiting when I was ready to pay for my purchase. read more

Meh, I come here constantly. I'm considering 4 stars but since I gave walgreens 3, let's just not play favorites and give one of these places an inferiority complex. Anyhow.... Its sort of ridiculous how often i stop in but I constantly forget to buy something (dish soap, cat food, fake nails - you know the necessities of life and all.) Or I need to use one of the 8 zillion coupons they send me. Seriously, every Thursday one is in my Gmail for between 20-30%. This place is the kohl's department store of drugstores, meaning never shop there without a coupon. Lately they've been sending me this complex mailer showing how much I've saved by year, by discount, by extrabuck designation-- ay-carumba! Its like the prospectus of discount store reward programs! For a store as huge as this one, it's often eerily quiet or just really busy around the front of the store. I'd say overall beauty products are better here, and for every $50 on beauty products you get $5 "extra bucks" back. A lot of their stuff otherwise seems to be a little higher priced than Walgreens but there's often less drama (although only marginally so - it is Brady and its cast of characters after all) when you get to the checkout. read more

Worst pharmacy in the neighborhood. Hours are unreliable. Website indicated that pharmacy opens at 8am and it still was not open at 8:45am.

They continuously change their hours and a decent portion of their pharmacists have attitude problems. I would never go to this location without calling first, and I would not depend on anything being in stock. It would seem as though they are socially engineering you to use online options much like the grocery store has you check yourself out versus provide cashiers. I used to really like this location and now I find it mostly repulsive. read more

Scheduled a second Covid booster for today. Received a confirmation text last night, and a final confirmation this morning. Arrived at the store, did the online check-in and proceeded to pharmacy. I was told "You are not scheduled for today." Since WiFi service is so crappy in the store, I could not up my confirmations. Left in a huff, rebooted phone outside, and my confirmation texts opened. As I walk to door, a large sign says Schedule your vaccine. Walk-ins welcomed." I show the pharmacist my texts. Nope. No appointment in their system. "Ok. Your sign says walk-ins welcome. I'm now a walk-in." Response from friendly, helpful pharmacist: "I'm not taking walk-ins." I find the store manager, explain my situation, and he is completely helpless other than offering a meaningless,"I'm sorry." I see why this cvs location receives a 3-star rating. I might have had better luck seeing if the Nomad pub was offering vaccines! read more

This CVS is really no bueno. It's sort of like this strange land that time forgot, in a not-so-good way. I always feel awfully weird if ever I find myself here... like something's just off. Check out? Extremely slow, as others have mentioned. There is more than ample parking available, but honestly... This CVS is a big store with many products a lot of varieties opens 24 hours this is the positive. But here it stops. Free Parking lot next to the store. Very disappointing from CVS it is not like any other CVS store I went into, I felt it was not very clean or is not appealing. The products are ok organize but it is not a sore I would like to go. Next to it there is Walgreen a HUGE difference Usually CVS stores are very nice this is not your typical CVS store. But if there is no other choice then it is a store and you can find many things. Maybe it's just me, but I think it is so weird that a drug store would have carpet instead of tile. Just gives the store an eerie feeling. I don't know why CVS stores do that. I much prefer going to the Walgreens across the street, but they don't take my insurance, so I'm forced to go to this CVS. They get that third star for having some nice pharmicists, and for selling bus tickets, while Walgreens does not. Otherwise I really don't like this store. There is ALWAYS a line at check out, or the only cashier is also doing photo which is on the other side of the store. Maybe it's time to hire some new employees? I also don't find their sales to be as good as those at Walgreens. My suggestions to CVS: rip up the nasty, weird carpet and hire a few new cashiers. read more

It's really weird how a CVS kitty-corner from a Walgreens could be so different, but they really are two different beasts, and I find myself going to both a couple times during the week for different things. Whereas Walgreens seems REALLY cluttered because of their small space, CVS is REALLY spread out, open and expansive. Whereas both have a small amount of grocery items, CVS probably wins in the health and beauty section. Plus CVS has a much less cluttered parking situation. I go often late at night, and it's nice to see people working graveyard shifts who aren't dead to the world when you show up, and still offer a good amount of assistance if needed. My biggest factor for choosing CVS over Walgreens more recently is because of their CVS Extra Care Card. It works just the same as the Walgreens card for in-store discounts and things, but the difference maker is that once a quarter, you'll get like 2% back in the form of an in-store coupon. I didn't there much in the 3rd quarter of 2013, but still got a coupon for a free $7. read more

A clean, large drug store with an entertaining variety of characters shopping, loitering and working here. The workers are better (in general) at the south side 24 hour CVS, and I prefer my neighborhood CVS during normal business hours. Prices on grocery items range from high to inexcusable, be careful on the impulse additions. Also, check expiration dates carefully. I find it's best to bring your sense of humor with you to this place. read more

We have been using this location for five years. Sorry to say it has taken a significant turn for the worse in the last year. Today was the last straw. Wife stopped after a visit to urgent care to fill a prescription and pick up some other recommended otc medications. The pharmacy staff were less than helpful when asked for help and guidance on the otc products and the pharmacist never came over to explain the prescription after my wife paid. The tech walked away when my wife started to ask a question about the medication. Bad service and unprofessional. Moving my prescriptions to the Walgreens across the street. read more

I stopped in here today for a pair of cheap replacement sunglasses. I was surprised by how massive the store really is -- great variety of random drugstore-type items. It was very clean and organized and generally well-maintained. The staff was friendly and opened additional registers when it started to get congested. I'd stop back here as needed. I don't know what it is but every single CVS I've been to, they have long lines at the checkouts. Every single CVS without fail, from various ones in Chicago to various ones in SE WI. I cannot understand this. I can't. This location, from what I saw (or rather didn't see), doesn't have liquor. The store itself seems spacious with HIGH ceilings (c wut i did thurr?) but you'll still bump into people in the aisle. In college, I think the general consensus among the students was that CVS was a bit cheaper than Walgreens. I guess it depends on location and items and whatnot but I have no proof to back this theory up. Just thought I would mention it. And, lastly, 24 hours. Oh! I don't know why I waited so long to transfer my prescriptions from the increasingly awful Walgreens across the street. EVERYTHING is better here: the pharmacy, the parking, the prices, even the selection of cosmetics, cleaning supplies and snacks. If depression had a store it'd look something like this. This place is big, but somehow feels cramped. It's never busy, but always has a line. It's not really dirty, but feels unclean. It's just dumpy and frumpy and lumpy all over. Most of the employees seem nice enough, but I just really don't dig this place at all. I never Yelped before, but I just want to give a shout out to Crystal for being such a great help. I had been browsing at the store one day and accidentally dropped my gloves in one of the 6 ft tall displays. The display didn't have any sort of opening or way of reaching the gloves. They seemed to be a lost cause, but I had lost so many gloves in the past that I didn't want to lose this pair. I told Crystal about it, and without further questions, she promptly went to get a ladder and broom to fish it out. The whole thing took about 15-20 min, but she persistently got them out, all while keeping such a pleasant demeanor. Thanks again, Crystal! read more

I come here often for miscellaneous needs. I live within walking distance, but now I will take the extra 150 ft to go to walgreens. The customer service here is awful. I returned a shovel here because it didn't fit in my car, and the manager got all worked up that I "used" the shovel. It was still in brand new condition, and had the tag attached. I don't see what's wrong with returning a purchase I did not need. I mentioned to her, the whole point of a return is because I don't want, like, or need it. Just like a shirt that I didn't like once I put it on. She didn't understand that, walked away and was very rude. I also didn't receive a return receipt after I asked for one, so I'm hoping my credit card is actually refunded! read more
