As much as I hate to leave a bad review... CVS on Hwy 81 in McDonough is absolutely the worst Pharmacy I have ever dealt with. They have lost my prescriptions and filled the wrong prescriptions several times and now they are holding my prescriptions hostage and making it difficult to transfer to another pharmacy in the area. When it comes to my health and medications CVS has proven to be a liability. Stay away from CVS for your pharmaceutical needs... apparently, they are only good for selling Condoms, Viagra and Snacks! read more

I arrived to pick up my prescription after receiving the text it was ready, no mention of them closing for lunch or hours. I arrived & was told I couldn't use my insurance because they were closing for lunch soon & it can take 5 min to run. So I could pay full price or come back. I needed postage stamps and decided to stop on my way home from other errands. Is CVS in the cellphone business? I ask because I waited 10 minutes for help. The associate continued discussing the man's cellphone.All I wanted was stamps. The store associate looked over at me a couple of times. He never said "I'll be with you in a moment". He also never walked toward me to see why I was waiting for him. I won't be using CVS again since they seem too busy to help little ole me! read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. They have dropped the ball way too many times. The most recent issue I've had is that my prescription was ready for pick up so I went through the drive through to pick it up. I had a new insurance card so they told me to come inside. I waited in line inside at the pick up counter, and they told me to go to the drop off window to update insurance. I was now already at CVS for 30 minutes. I updated my insurance at the drop off window, and they told me it would be an hour before it was ready for pick up.... Unbelievable. My family has had multiple issues with this CVS, so we are switching to Publix Pharmacy. I absolutely do not recommend this business at all. read more

CVS Highway 81 is the worst I've ever experienced. Pharmacy is totally unconcerned and don't care.

One star is too many stars. We were forced to change to CVS a few years ago with our insurance and have never enjoyed their service. We went from a small pharmacy were they took the time to know our names. This location never seems to have the same personnel from month to month. They also seems to never be well staffed. I don't know if it's a case of they need more or better employees. Today was the worst. We waited a few hours after a prescription was called in to pick it up. When we arrived they told us they still didn't have it ready and it would be 20 minutes. An HOUR later I go up and ask and they tell me they don't have that medication available. They don't know when it will be available and they don't know if any store near that may have it. I called Walgreens and they have it but can't get get CVS to pick up the phone so we can get the prescription transferred!!! This is ridiculous! read more

The cvs Pharmacy is so slow and hold times on the phone are ridiculous. I have waited on the phone over an hour to get service. Also, I put in a prescription refill that was not refilled within 5 days. They told me they were behind and could not fill it timely. I have never experienced this. The tech was short to me on the phone and didn't share the proper information. They need additional manpower. read more

This is the worst CVS I have ever been to. I have waited on hold for over an hour for the pharmacy and eventually hung up because no one answered. Further, they do not refill prescriptions that are on automatic refill so you get stuck in this awful cycle of having to call to get things filled even though no one answers. The employees are rude and don't care when you let them know about the wait time. Even though this pharmacy is right near our house, I will be transferring everything just so I don't have to deal with this complete inefficiency. read more

HWY 81E McDonough GA CVS. I tried to make an appointment online to get the Covid vaccine but their computer system was screwed up and it said walk ins were welcome so I drove there. They ignored me for a while even though there was nobody else but me at the pharmacy. Finally a girl asked me if she could help me and I asked if I could get the covid vaccine. She asked me if I had an appointment and I said I tried to make one but their computer system wouldn't let me. I continued by saying it said walk ins were welcome. She just said no you have to have an appointment. There was NOBODY waiting. There was nobody else anywhere near the pharmacy. They don't care at this pharmacy and I transferred all my prescriptions years ago for that reason. Nothing but problems, rude employees and waited for days to get prescriptions. Should really close drive through because they cannot provide enough employees to serve it. I waited 35 minutes for a prescription. I couldn't get out of line because cars were lined up behind and beside me. No apologies for the wait either. Pathetic!! read more

My wife dropped off my prescription at noon. Was told that it would be ready at 2:00 pm. Came back at 5:00 pm it wasn't filled. She was told to drive around and come back in 10 minutes. She came back and they then said oh sorry we don't have enough to fill your husbands prescription. She was sent the the CVS on Zach Hinton Pkwy. The pharmacist there refused to fill it stating he was using his discretion not to fill it because it was a stronger dose than the last one. Emanuel the pharmacist then lied to me when I called to ask why he didn't fill it. He said he never said it was his discretion. He didn't fill it because they didn't have any. Absolutely awful customer service by Ashley (a petite blonde). I arrived about 15 minutes prior to closing. Needing to grab just a few items. Ashley rushed me aggressively telling me the lights were about to turn off. Her two children were with her and it was very clear her priority this evening was closing and taking her two children that appeared and behaved under the age of 5 home. Instead of taking care of me the loyal (up until today) customer. I left without buying two things I needed because she had me so flustered and shocked. Not once did she offer to assist me with my purchase, item selection or locating the items I needed. Before I left I inquired on what # to call regarding customer care and whom the manager was of this CVS location. Ashley (whom was not who I inquired with, I inquired politely with the cashier checking me out at that moment) Ashley responded in a tone of attitude and complete lack of care for customer service "I've been here 15 years I have nothing to worry about". The lack of customer service that is growing in our society period just sickens me. I'm absolutely sick of it. I will start spending my funds else where. read more

This store is terrible! They have zero customer service skills. Rude and incompetent. They never have medication in stock.

This is probably the worse pharmacy ever. I've been using CVS for 20yrs and this store has gotten progressively worse over the last 2-3 yrs. The last straw for me was receiving 3 different text messages, 1 per day, only to arrive to pickup my RX and the did not have it. Then they lied to me and told me the DR had not called it in until i produced the text from 4 days ago that said the meds had to be ordered....No answer for that one. Tracey, the store manager, was discourteous and rude. Jerked my product off the counter telling me about the limit on toliet paper. She spent most of her time in the back of the store when there was a line waiting to check out. And finding assistance with finding something in the store is non existent. Customer service is bad. Wait time for prescription is long. Went there on Saturday to pick up prescription which was called in on Thursday. Waited about 20 to 30 minutes. Not even sorry for wait. Got home no top on medication. read more

Pharmacist Nadine did not understand that there are inactive ingredients in a prescribed medication and therefore could not tell me what they were when I asked.... something essential for a patient with specific allergies to know. This is shocking. How does a pharmacist not know that? I don't feel safe asking questions here about my medications. read more

My doctor sent my medication before 9:30am because that's when I left the office! I got to CVS after work at around 6:30 and my meds were still NOT ready! I was livid because I had also waited for 15 mins in the line to get to the register to get my meds that should have already been ready to be picked up. I didn't wait so came back over an hour later to pick them up before they close, I'm in the drive through line for more than 30 mins, still have yet to be helped or even asked for my information!
