This CVS needs help. There was a huge line at the Pharmacy counter which was ridiculous. They have a lot of empty shelving so that's disturbing. I was looking for eyelash primer and they were mostly out - I finally found a Loreal one that would work. The pricing is higher than if you shopped elsewhere. I had a coupon that was expiring so I had to visit the store but not thrilled. I did self check out which is always easy so that part I do like a lot. read more

this is one CVS with a lot of people coming in to get medication, and I think they work as fast as they can refilling, giving shots, talking to customers that sometimes have so many questions for them , yes it does take time, but this is not the fault of the people working there. I have had nothing g but excellent service always and I did leave a message and within 8 minutes I got a call back. I think people mistake their heads down working and trying to refill prescriptions, answering many questions from customers regarding medications for being unhelpful. Well cvs on Atlantic Ave. thank you for the great service you have always given me. Maybe people should look at all they are doing and moving at a very fast pace and try to understand, before criticizing! read more

So done with CVS. I have lived here for 30 years and put up with annoying, entitled pharmacists who act like they barely have time for you. No phone call or text that my medication was ready and tried to call but cannot speak to a live human being. I was sent into the loop and finally told to leave a message. In all honesty they're never that busy. Impossible to speak to the front desk, no phone number for that. Extremely frustrating. I can't imagine what it must be like for people who don't have access to technology. On top of everything else, the place is looking rather shabby and dirty. I will be driving pretty far out of my way to avoid this place in the future. Oh, and do I need to mention the miles of wasted Paper they call a receipt? Just so they can play big brother and track your purchases for target marketing.... read more

For a pharmacy it easily gets five stars. Patient, communicative, compassionate. There is one pharmacy associate who has zero bedside manner but with five stars I am not here to back handedly compliment, merely pointing this out because even the staff member who can give off the energy that it's a chore they are still totally unproblematic as far as fulfilling the service goes. Frankly that is WAY more than I can say for the vast majority of every if not every medical service I am connected with in Massachusetts. So if the worst person on staff still fulfills their job role at the end of the day, that's a rare gem in local (possibly national?) healthcare! read more

They don't answer their phone. The recording Is not helpful. I f you want to talk to a live person you can't. I'm from out of state, visiting in Marblehead. The CVS on Atlantic Ave is as poor as the one in my area. I wish the WalMart were closer. read more

We were visiting from out of town and my daughter urgently needed her migraine medication refilled. This pharmacy went above and beyond and called the prescribing pharmacy in California at 530 on a Sunday. They were so kind and helpful and came through during a crisis. read more

Ever since states have pushed for higher minimum wages and other economic factors have driven up costs businesses really, really want customers to use the self check out. I'm not a fan in general of self check out (I don't work there and unless I'm getting a discount for using it I'm not a fan), but I was at this CVS today and both self check out stands weren't working properly. Instead of shutting them down and opening a second register I got told to do something (I didn't pay attention, but I could tell that it was something I really shouldn't have had to do). So I simply left my over $100 worth of items and left the store for another store whose systems work. read more

I have had so many problems with this location. It's is absolutely awful. The pharmacy staff especially one woman which I won't name is always rude to ever customer I have seen her with. She has been horrible to me when picking up my prescriptions. Only person that has ever told me my prescriptions are "on back order, but we will have it tomorrow" I asked the name of a medication she raised her eyebrows at me and yelled the name of it infront of my children. Gets aggravated every time I go in and pick up for myself and my two children because it's more work for her. Like if you don't like your job, DONT DO IT! I also had another experience with the front clerk, my son went in to buy a toy car with his own money and the man had a look of disgust when my son started pulling out his money. I tried to make it nice for my son and say to the man "he is paying with his money it will only be a minute" the man was very rude to my son and said "this is taking longer than it needs to" mind you my son was 5. I said can you have some patience or some compassion and said "I don't need to" I walked out of the store. read more

This location's pharmacy has stellar service. I'm visiting my folks. I forgot to fill a Rx before I left California. It's an out of state prescription (apparently not a big deal) but I don't have my insurance card. No problem. What's your pharmacy in SF? They call information and get the pharmacy's number. Then they call the pharmacy and get my insurance info. Rx filled and ready to go in about 15 minutes. Fabulous. CVS always saves my butt for the things I forget to pack when coming home to visit the family. Within 15 minutes of wandering I'd grabbed the needed toothbrush, cold cream and some Christmas candy for the niece and nephew. Auntie E's got a rep to live up to. The prices are a little steep. Same generic prescription here was $7 more than at Safeway on Market Street. Go figure. read more

It's CVS, what can I say? Well, one thing I will say is that the pharmacy staff is awesome. They are very helpful and efficient. I am always happy when they tell me I can wait for a scrip and it will only take 10 minutes or so. So, while CVS in general is not very exciting, this particular store has earned my loyalty. read more

This pharmacy is substandard. I have had prescriptions called in, and gone to pick them up, only to be told the medicine was back ordered and would be in "in a few days". When I asked the clerk to see if a partial amount of medicine was available so I wouldn't run out, lo and behold...there is the medicine! Plenty of it, sitting on the shelf.This has happened the last two times I have filled prescriptions there. I have come to understand that "it will be in stock in a few days" is a code word for "I'm going to let some one else fill it tomorrow because I dont feel like it and kick it down the road to someone else". The store is dirty. There are places where the sub flooring is caving in on the aisles. Its gross. They refuse to accept cash unless you have exact change because they say they cant get coins, and if you dont have exact change, they round it UP SO THEY CAN POCKET THE DIFFERENCE. Eh... One manager was really nice and friendly. The other manager sends her employees to stalk anyone who looks like they might steal. The pharmacy employees are really chill and understanding. read more
