Today I tried to pick up my medication at the CVS Pharmacy located at 89-11 Northern Blvd, Jackson Heights, NY 11372, and the pharmacy staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. I asked to speak with the supervisor, but she was arrogant and refused to assist me properly. I had proof by email that my doctor had already sent the prescription. In addition, the nurse personally called the pharmacy to confirm that the prescription had been sent and that the pharmacy had received it in their system. Despite all of this, they still refused to give me my medication. What made the experience even worse was the way I was treated as a Spanish speaker. There were employees who spoke Spanish, but no one was willing to properly help or listen to me. I felt discriminated against and dismissed instead of being treated with professionalism and respect. This experience was unacceptable, unprofessional, and deeply frustrating. read more

Update: Just had to go back to CVS today for milk and discovered they've raised their prices again. They're now charging $7.17 for a gallon of milk, while Rite Aid sells it for $4.99 just blocks away. CVS continues to price gouge, and I hope the next administration cracks down on their role in creating fake inflation. read more

I've been coming here for many years but in the past maybe 2-3 years this place definitely has gone down by a lot. To start off it's always hard to find someone to help you out and now most of their products are locked in the display cases so you need to first find an employee and then drag them to your case just to open it. They also eliminated their huge greeting card selection which was always nicely stacked and now it's just a small section with few basic cards. Not to mention CVS is always so much more expensive then other stores so if you don't have a coupon you're paying full price and then some! The only good thing is this location is open 24/7 so you can walk in anytime and get whatever you may need. Hopefully things improve at some point! read more

I was waiting to open a glass window and pressed the bell, twice. I then asked an employee if someone can open the window. She said "press bell" and I told her that I did so, twice. She ran away saying "well I don't have the key". This is the same person that told me a few years ago that "you should be happy I'm helping you". Isn't it her job to help customers?? Do they train anyone there? They have long lines, because their customer service is so lacking. I walked out and bought my item at the deli across the street. read more

Been going here for yrs but really disappointed over the last yr. From security following us around the store (for no apparent reason, except I guess we look like thieves) to hearing comments from ignorant, ethnocentric staff. Do better, seriously. A few months ago, I went to the pharmacy to pickup meds for my mom or my grandma. I gave the last name (pronouncing it as we do in our home language, which is the correct pronunciation) to the pharmacy tech assisting me. Meanwhile, the neighboring pharmacy tech made a nasty comment to his customer about how people can't even pronounce their own names right. He then proceeded to say our name the way he thought it should be pronounced, the American way. He then laughed about it with his customer cuz we clearly don't know how to pronounce our own names. How freaking dare him? What an ignorant, ethnocentric, idiot. Our last names aren't English names. Yet, he confidently pronounced our names the incorrect way, the American way, righting the wrong way I pronounced our name (or so he thought). Who said only English or American pronunciation is correct? I'm so sick of people who think so. Especially when it comes to a non-English language, use your brain, but I guess some people leave their brain at home before they go to work. What in the world made this fool of a man think non-English names are pronounced correctly only when they're butchered in English? How can an adult living in NYC be this ignorant? I suggest getting out from under the rock. If you can't pronounce our names correctly, no problem. Don't freakin try to correct me based on your incorrect assumption of the correct way to pronounce our names. Don't be thinking the way we pronounce our names are incorrect just cuz we refuse to Americanize our names. Not everyone wants to assimilate into American culture by butchering their names, thanks. Some of us are actually able to embrace both of our cultures equally (East & West -... & American) w/o being ethnocentric or preferring one over the other or trying to erase one in favor of the other. read more

If you have a store with few staff perhaps make sure they are trained better. Not a child manning the automated checkout who does not know how to solve the problem nor shows no inclination to get to the bottom of it. Rather just says "i hope it works" such a disappointment. Lets hope people stop patronizing and it gets replaced with a walgreens. 5/27/23 Still terrible. With no staff and everything locked how do they expect people to purchase anything. CVS is CVS. This location is right by my house so I basically live here when I need something. They expanded their pharmacy, which is great because sometimes the line of people waiting to pick up or drop off is insane. Everyone who works in the pharmacy department is super patience and attentive to our needs. Cashiers are very slow in the front, sometimes there aren't many cashiers as there are also four self-checkouts. This goes for their workers on the floor as well, you need to search for someone if you need help which I find very annoying. Overall, very clean and shelves are always stocked. read more

Soon as I stepped in the store, the Indian young lady that worked there started following me and staring at me, I told her can you stop staring and following me, that's harassment. She started screaming at me "that is her store that I'm crazy, she started screaming at manager to call the cops on me that all I wanted to do was steal, when I was in the store for one minute. I left while the manager and employee screaming call the cops and brought nothing. If I wasn't so tired from work I would of waited for police and sued them for harassment. read more

Came to the pharmacy drop-off to pick up my prescription. Was told there was none, even though I have texts from CVS telling me it's ready. Fine. I go to the consultation counter to re-initiate my prescription. They tell me 15 minutes. I come back in 20 minutes. Still not ready; they tell me to come back in 10 minutes. I come back in 15 minutes. Still nothing, and no explanation; the counter person says she literally doesn't know why it's taking this long. Meanwhile I see no fewer than four people in the back working as slowly as possible, joking and laughing like they it's after-work drinks at the pub. It's right in the name - PHARMACY. Could you please pay close attention to servicing clientele w/the understanding that they are sick. Otherwise, we can get most of this stuff at GROCERY STORE or 7-11. I came in at 4pm on a Friday afternoon, riding my mobility scooter with oxygen tube right in my nostrils - ON my face. The long tube is hard to miss as it attaches to the oxygen machine in the front basket of my scooter. Courteously, I waited in line to pick up my meds. There were maybe 4 ppl ahead of me. Unfortunately, the texts i received for picking up medication was routed to me from the wrong CVS location. I asked if they would please fill the 3 prescriptions, and the cashier pointed me to another employee who stood under a sign that said "place orders" or dispense or something. He assured me they could handle it. I asked him a simple question, and he was checking his handheld. The back door kept opening, and a loud alarm started to blare. The telephone rang - as announced by a loud "caller on the line" repeating regularly over the pharmacy sound system. After 2 mins of him still looking up an answer on his handheld, I said, "it's okay, I can look it up on the internet, myself, when I get home. Could you tell me if you will fill my prescription?" He asked the pharmacist a question. Meanwhile, the door kept opening and the phone kept ringing. He said they will fill my order. "Pls wait and someone will call you." I waited near the chairs where others were waiting. There was a brief lull where there were no new ppl in line, at all. Somehow, after 25 more mins, I asked if they were getting close to calling me. One of the cashiers came up to me and asked if i would be okay w/taking a partial order, since they wouldn't have this one item fully in stock until Monday, or would I prefer to come in on Monday for the entire order? I was a little puzzled. It's a new prescription, I would think starting it now, rather than waiting 3 days would be my dr's preference, and thus mine! 10 mins later, I asked again, is it going to be much longer? My oxygen was running out. Long story short, it was another 5 mins before I was called up to a cash register, only to find out that all of the registers were frozen. I was getting panicked, by this time. Well over 50 mins since I came in to pick up my prescription. They ALL saw me in my mobility scooter and oxygen. Do you think they might have decided to push my order up when I first arrived there? As a simple common courtesy! I don't have the luxury of having limitless air, like EVERY one else in the store did. Management, pls take note. This is not how you treat the elderly, disabled, and/or infirm. You are not the only pharmacy in town. read more

Clearly I feel the same way as many people do here. THIS CVS SUCKS SO BAD! I can't stand it, they are no help at all !! Employees are no help at all!! This CVS is ok. It's kinda small so their selection can be "meh" depending on what you are looking for. Staff is friendly and helpful though not as fast as one might hope for. There is always a line here. Mainly it's because their Self Check Out counters seem to break down often. Conveniently located Cvs but not the best one I've ever visited. Also CVS, in general is over priced. I try not to shop here if I can avoid it. This particular location needs to hire more staff to keep the place running more smoothly. read more

The current Change in staff and management shows the lack of poor standards. Instead of someone being a greeter as they do in some retails they make the self checkout attendant do that. So while they're busy fixing blunders, they must greet you. Price changes. No one keeps up to date. The Digornios Pizza in the personal pan size went up from 4.19 to 4.79. I can buy it cheaper at the grocery store. But if you go ring it up at self check out it rings up more and I had to take a picture to show her and she did credit me. Pop tarts and other thing, still have old pricing under it. I'm disappointed in your pharmacy also. I was told by one girl that my refills would take me until October. But I do read the labels and it said July. So why would this girl screw up like that.. The overnight male pharmacist is the worst. His lack of urgency is terrible. A dosage upgrade was done for my meds and he simply didn't read the script and told me it would not be approved. I had to talk to him like he was an idiot before I got the "oh" look. Don't play with my medication because you can't read what's written. Seriously CVS corporate this is a failure store. I used to enjoy shopping here but the customer service lacks! read more

It's great the they have parking at this pharmacy but they need to tidy the inside a bit. The service was was friendly and decent but there was a mistake on mail order but they were able to fix it. For the most part, the pharmacy is well stocked and has everything you might need from a local pharmacy. read more

The pharmacy staff is rude and they get mad because they're overworked and I understand that especially because of COVID. The attitude, the refusal to help their customers get their medication situations figured out is unacceptable. I know people have off days but jeez, there's never a day where they seem like they wish to help you. Capitalism is thing that runs everyone on Earth but you should not be in the healthcare industry if you could care less about people without their medications!!! Countless times I've seen people come in and ask for their medications.. they ran out, they've got to prepare it, or their health insurance has some sort of problem and they end up having to go to the consultation booth to resolve what I can only assume is the medication price; you're not given a call beforehand to have all of this explained. When they would give me my meds, I was instructed by my doctor to ask my pharmacist about any interactions. Something they couldn't seem to explain to me. I'm over it, I've transferred to Capsule, I am disgusted with this specific pharmacy and it's system of operations. I also will be going in person to file a formal complaint but I really doubt anything will happen since when they're asked to speak to the person in charge, they just cover for each other. At the end nothing changes and so the higher ups either don't care or don't think they can hire more competent people. Redo your whole system and hire more people or rehire everyone. I had the most horrific experience at this location. On November 10th 2012 I had to make a quick stop for a wedding party that I was servicing. I needed a 24 hr pharmacy that I could purchase lashes from. It was approx 7 am and I went in and went straight to the cosmetic aisle where the lashes were located at the very end. As I am picking out my lashes, I see a gentleman peak his head down my aisle at me. I didn't pay much attention to him as I just saw another worker in the next aisle that previously saw me. The gentleman then comes down my aisle and stands by me...still oblivious to his purpose i kept shopping. I didnt realize that he was following me until i began walking towards the front, he was walking and following me. I stopped short to see if this employee was REALLY following ME! I pretended to look at eyeliners just to see if I was his subject and sure enough I WAS!! He continues looking and then goes into the next aisle and sadly as obvious as he was with following me it was even worst with whispering. He "whispers" to the other employee.."I have to check the tapes and see if the girl in the hat has taken anything .." He said a few more things but I'd heard enough at that point and realized that I was being profiled. If I hadn't needed those lashes that very moment I would've left instantly without purchasing a THING from this location. Fuming..I proceeded to go to the counter where there was no one there to assist me. Right on my heel is this same "security". I turn to him and say "Well where is the cashier"..he says "You have to use the self serve register". He is STILL STANDING behind me. I finally turn to him and i say "Were you following me?!" He replies "Yes thats my job" I said "well do i fit the profile of someone who is stealing??!, If you arent helping me to purchase my items you need to back off!". The coward eventually walks away and talks giggling with another worker who just came from the back room. After I purchased my items I went to that new worker who just appeared and asked him for the name of that security guard he told me that his name was "Johnathan" to which I informed him that "Johnathan" was extremely UNPROFESSIONAL, AMATEUR, and was quite OFFENSIVE to follow me around a store and accuse me of stealing!!! He apologized on behalf of this Lackluster "security guard" (which i use loosely) and informed me that CVS hires outside the company to hire this guy. I write this to you CVS and to all the other readers...Johnathan the "guard" aka HOUND DOG was not the man for this job! I am a professional woman who was on the clock running a quick errand and have never felt so violated in my life! I like to give places 3 chances before writing negative reviews but I should have learned my lesson the first time. This place has a horrible photo center. I always pick up my photos after receiving an email that it's ready and present it to the associate at the register. When I do, the employees look confused, are running around the photo center trying to find my pictures, and 3 out of 3 times they informed me that it's not ready. This last visit however, takes the cake. They had 2 out of 3 pictures ready, informed me I should just pay for the 2 (not a problem). When I told them that I received a discount online and I should receive it for the 2 pictures, they then wanted to print out my 3rd pic instead of doing math to charge me for the 2 (not a problem, I just really wanted the picture). An associate directed me to the Kodak printer where I had to hook up my phone and search for the photo. When I got to the payment page the associate told me not to print it b/c the only option was "ready in an hour." The associate assisting me then decided to walk around to the main printing machine, add more film to the machine then like magic my picture printed.....I wasted ~15-20 min. in this damn store to have 1 picture printed because they didn't add more film to the machine? It's ridiculous, disorganized and a waste of time. Never again. read more

I think it's CVS in general, but this is the one that I've had the most experience with. My husband had changed our receipts digitally and they went to his email so we realized I was no longer able to get them. So he changed them back, but they continue to go digitally to his email even after we have changed it back numerous times! Every time I go I have to wait longer to get the printed receipt, do not receive coupons anymore and am told that next time it won't happen again, but it always does! I avoid the store unless I can't get something elsewhere. Just now the young woman at the register said "I don't know who you've been speaking to" (people more helpful than her!!) after I told her that I have been told multiple times that the issue was fixed, but it isn't. This issue has been going on for months. Sooo annoying. Get it together CVS!! Furthermore, last year there was fraud on my bank account through their Santander ATM. read more
