This contradicted the message I got on their web app four days ago telling me that the Rx would be ready yesterday at noon. I asked why that would occur and the assistant accused me of being rude. This tack was also attempted by the pharmacist to whom I was transferred after a 5-minute hold. All I wanted was an acknowledgment that they had made a mistake and an apology. No such luck. The pharmacist, Tom (who refused to supply his last name) told me that he had called my doctor's office and gotten my Rx canceled. He explained that this was standard procedure with 'out of control' customers requesting a controlled substance. Nevermind the fact that I have not used this medication in over two years. I would be more forgiving if this were the first screw up by this pharmacy. It is, however, the SIXTH time I was given the information that a prescription was ready only to find out that it wasn't. Save your time. Avoid frustration. Stay away from Walgreen's, a company that can't take criticism.
