The customer service my one and only time being there was hot garbage, steamy hot!! It was a little after 9 on Sunday. My good friends and I were trying to buy beer, (I don't know the alcohol laws in Indiana), so we grab a couple of 12 packs and head to the register. There's a big line for starters and the Dave Chappelle looking like MOFO at the register seems like he's not doing a very good job with the customers. He sees us with the beer in our hands at the very back of the line, so he calls us to the next register over and asks us, "you guys buying beer?", we reply yes, as it's obvious since we have a 12 pack in our hands, we weren't buying tampons or hair conditioner. He says, "come to this line, I can help you guys out first", we get to the register, he asks us to put the beer on the counter, so we do, he then just grabs the beer and puts it behind the counter, gives us a goofy deer caught in the headlights look and tells us that we can't buy beer after 8, and tells us to leave. A simple we don't sell beer past 8 would have been plenty good the moment he saw us holding the beer, It's not like we were going to steal the freaking beer. But he's over here thinking he's a comedian, although he may of looked like Dave Chapelle, he definitely wasn't funny. Thanks to his smart ass maneuver, I'll make sure to never step foot at that CVS for as long as I live. read more

Extremely unprofessional and rude. I've had a number of negative experiences at this location (i.e. they lost an important script and even after days of me calling about it- no help on their end at all; failing to fill prescriptions in time for a promised next day pick up, they change brands SO frequently and don't inform me of this and as a celiac it really matters... I could go on forever. The pharmacy manager is incredibly rude and this place is horribly run. It's a mess. I've gone to another CVS by my doctor near carmel and it is night and day- staff is so kind and helpful and nothing has fallen through the cracks like it always does at this location. #MissingWalgreens read more

This is for the clinic - NOT the pharmacy or the store. I recently had a very urgent need for a $35 test. Being from out-of-town, I rushed to the clinic as quickly as possible using Uber. Got there 5 minutes before posted closing time, thankful beyond belief I'd made it. Though the person running the clinic had no one in line, she would not perform the test on me, as she wanted to close early. As I was unable to get the test that night, I had to spend four days in the hospital, which needless to say completely altered the nature of my recent trip. If the woman would've been a little compassionate to the breathless out-of-towner who actually made it on time, an entire week of my life would've gone a LOT differently. Thanks for nothing. This is by far the best CVS pharmacy I've ever been to. I've been coming here regularly for a year or two. Not only is it 24 hours but the staff are always incredibly willing to help and explain things. Shout out to Dr. Arabian for always remembering my name and Dr. Katie for going the extra mile. I never leave reviews but thought I might save someone some time and trouble but saying DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY. They don't answer their phones (it has been like this for months and you can hear them ringing off the hook when you are in the store), so good luck ever get ahold of them if you need something. They will tell you something will be ready in 10 minutes when it will take 40 minutes and they see you sitting waiting for it. They are not friendly. I only come here because they have a parking lot unlike the other cvs close to me downtown but I will be switching soon. read more

16th & Meridian. Need I say more? This intersection, no matter which of the four corners of this cross-street, is a vortex for down the drain business and deviant customer service. All of them stay busy and make money in spite of themselves because frankly downtowners don't have a lot of options. Specifically, this CVS is a wreck. It's always a mess and disheveled with aisles torn up or inventory sitting there waiting to be put out. The freezer looked like a spooky frozen ice cream graveyard. It was more than half empty, and the few remaining pints of Haagen Dazs I can only assume were still there because they were embedded in thick sheets and layers of ice buildup due to either a faulty freezer or not having defrosted the thing since 1999. Yesterday, I walked in to find that they must have been flooded or something because all of the flooring was wet. They had industrial fans blowing to dry it out, but they can't really help that. However, the smell coming from all of it was offensive to say the least. There was the typical smell of mildew coupled with a scent that I can only imagine akin to a pack of wet wild dogs, wolves, dingos, and hyenas ripping and roaring through the store marking their territory. Each time I have attempted to visit the pharmacy, there is no one out front, and the wait to gain someone's attention has been more than I could endure. All of this, and yes, when I specifically want CVS, I will still go there. read more

After two weeks of attempting to obtain a rx for a specific prenatal vitamin to align with insurance coverage and current cvs stock, I am highly frustrated. I made multiple calls (4 to be exact) to the store to ensure everything was set, multiple visits in person in to that store where I was given excuses for ordering problems (4 times as well)... I showed kindness, understanding, and patience... Problems happen. But today I appeared to pick up my vitamins that were supposedly ready, only to find out its on back order and the other similar medication would be far more expensive. This was never communicated to me. The store continued to be kind as they have been all along but this does not correct the multiple mistakes and poor service I have received. I am very thankful that my med was not vital, however the health of an unborn child is also a priority and this cvs/Caremark care has been deplorable in helping me obtain my needed drug! Ugh!!!! This is by far the worst CVS that I have ever been to. I used to live right next door and I would make the walk across the street to Walgreens just so I didn't have to deal with the extremely rude staff. If you go in to buy alcohol, be sure you have at least half an hour to wait for someone to come unlock the case. If you're buying alcohol and ANYONE in the group you came with doesn't have ID, they won't sell it to you. Not to mention how often I'll walk up to a cashier with no one there and they'll tell me they're waiting for some random person who's off doing i don't know what so they can check me out. Do yourself a favor and go to the Walgreens across the street. read more

Average CVS with better-than-average consistency in its prescription services. My prescription is filled on a scheduled, reoccurring basis, and is always ready for pick up when I drop in. Although I have since moved further away from this location, I've left my prescription here due to my satisfaction with its handling. I sometimes utilize the mile-long CVS coupon receipt on bath & beauty products, if the savings are worth it, but can typically find the products cheaper elsewhere. The staff are friendly and attempt to be efficient, although can be thwarted by the uber-coupon-users or off-base customer questions. This CVS probably needs to better staff its registers during peak periods. The only other negative is being approached by persons for money or etc. outside of the building during my typical early AM visits, when the sky is still dark; more so for the slight apprehension than anything else. I generally feel safe...other than the one time I witnessed someone stealing a massive amount of laundry detergent in one of the aisles, who luckily made a break for it the other way, instead of towards me. I prefer CVS over Walgreens any day and that is why I have my scripts filled here. And visit the minute clinic However, in the past year, the pharmacy has decreased in their customer service. They are always busy and stressed, no matter the day or time I come in. As a result, this is the type of service you receive. You feel rushed and that you are bothering them. They are friendly to regulars and greet them by name, which is always great to see. It also makes no difference how many people are working. One visit, there were 5-6 person in the pharmacy and things were still crazy. My last scribe took 2 days to fill. 2 days. Not really sure why, but I walked out of the store after 30 mins of waiting for something I know was just in the freezer. Nope, no one called to tell me that it would take that long for my script to be filled. In the past, my script has taken 10-20 mins to fill. I would wait by going to the beauty section and looking or makeup to try. The last visit, however, was too much. I will consider that I always walk in to get my scripts and never call before I go as my script is refilled monthly. I guess I would say call them the morning before you need your regular script to be filled so they can have it ready by the time you come home from work. Maybe this would help. I also appreciate that they have never had an issue with my insurance. The minute clinic was great the one time I had to go. She did not make me feel stupid when I came in with what I thought it was...she just made me aware why it was NOT that. The doctor/nurse was helpful and thorough. With my insurance, it did not cost that much. For the area, this was my go-to and I appreciate the services I received during my year here. But I hope the CVS in southern Indy can do a bit better. read more

Avoid! I've only been here to try to pick up a prescription that I transferred when I moved. Well, as others have mentioned, they are pretty good at screwing up prescriptions. They had filled my prescription under someone else's insurance! I will drive twice as far just to avoid the scummy-ness of this building. Panhandlers make the outside look like a dump. read more

It has a no-fee ATM for Capital One 360 checking accounts. Has a drive thru pharmacy. It actually feels smaller inside than the Walgreens across the street. There are a lot of panhandlers in the area and they are often near the entrance, so if you want to don't want to deal w that at night, go during the day. read more

This rating applies only to this location (1545 N. Meridian St. Indianapolis,IN). I normally do not shop at this location, but on the way to work downtown, I realized I forgot a nicotine patch. Having just recently quit smoking, these have been very helpful, and CVS has a great selection of smoking cessation products! I stopped in to get a box, but they were buy-1 -get-one-half-off, so I got 2 boxes of 14 patches. While in the parking lot at work I noticed they had given me a box of 14 patches and a box of 7, but charged me for 2 boxes of 14 (with the discount). I opened the box of 14, thinking everyone makes mistakes; I just planned to go in after work to trade the other box. After work, I brought both boxes in (the one I meant to keep was opened but I thought it'd be easier to explain the situation with both in hand). The lady at the register immediately told me there were no refunds on third shift. This happened about an hour ago (10:30 pm). I began to explain that I didn't need a refund but wanted to exchange--she interrupted by repeating herself but added "exchanges" to the list of things she could not do on third shift. I began again by explaining that I was given the wrong--she interrupted me again and told me to come in tomorrow! At this point I am pissed! I remained calm, but I must have shown some irritability. I tried again saying that there is no need for anything to be scanned or any need for exchange of money. Basically, their inventory is not correct by what they rang in earlier when I purchased them; I'm simply trying to rectify this. But the lady remained adamant and would never even let me finish the situation. I wish I would have gotten this lady's name, but she was probably early to mid-fifties in age and had long grey hair, and was extremely rude (and working the night of 1-8-17)! I went directly to the CVS on west 86th street where Lisa was happy to assist with the trade, which required nothing but taking my box of 7, putting it on the shelf, giving me the box of 14 that I paid for, and her writing her initials on my receipt, showing the exchange. She apologized for the lady's ineptitude at the downtown location, and I left happy! For purposes of inventory now, the West 86th street location is short a box of 14 and up a box of 7; the North Meridian location is short a box of 7 and up a box of 14. All of this could have easily been fixed if that bitch downtown would have just listened to me! read more

Terrible! 0 customer service. Understaffed and not friendly. Doctor sent prescription and they lost the order. I called doctor and she said they accepted the request over an hour ago. The wait for a pick up was 90 minuets. Unacceptable! An additional worker came to help and a worker told her to run away while she could. read more

Awful service! I had to go back 3 times from work to get it when the kiosk said 45 minute wait which turned into 4 1/2 hours. The np acted like she would rather not be there. On top of that the general antibiotic didn't help at all and I call back and get Matt on the phone(who was rude as could be) to say I have to pay for another visit to get a different medicine or he said I would be better off going to a primary care dr. The Pharmacy sucks!!!!!!! I'm 3 days post surgery and I needed some nausea medicine. My nurse practitioner called in the order around 250pm. My parents went to the pharmacy to pick it up around 4pm and it wasn't ready - they claimed they never received it. 3 hours later I called another physician on call to call in the prescription only to learn that the original order had been called that it was sitting in the voicemail!!!!!! It is now 10pm, my husband went to the Pharmacy to pick up my order only to be told it wasn't ready - WTF????!!!!!! What is really going on over there? I should have read the comments about this pharmacy prior to selecting it. I have been nauseated all freakin day and just now getting my prescription filled! Ridiculous service - where is your care for patients who need scripts filled! There is no excuse for this poor service. This will be my first and LAST script I will have filled here trust and believe! I will go across the street to Walgreens if I need another script or across town to Walmart. I'm VERY disappointed in this CVS and I will not step foot inside it again. read more

would give this location ZERO STARS IF I COULD. I ordered a curbside pick up from this same location. They were having a promo for $10 off of a $15 minimum purchase (for the curbside pickup). I ordered 3 nyx illuminators and a bag of hot Cheetos. (the highlighters were buy 2 get 1 free). Therefore, my total was $7.84 after my promo code discount. However, when I got to the store, they took FOREVER to come out with my order. Somebody finally came out with my order, and she dropped off my bag and left. When I checked my bag, there was only 1 highlighter and the bag of hot Cheetos. I went into the store, and they called out the lady that brought my order. I explained to her what had happened, and she brought out 2 more, and the cashier was about to charge me for the other 2. I tried to explain that I had already paid for them, so he called her out again. She checked the receipt, and realized that they had messed up the order. (they had charged me for one nyx product and the hot Cheetos which came out to around $7 but it didn't give me the other 2 highlighters and it didn't give me the discount for the promo and it charged the $10 in extrabucks that I had. She didn't want to give me a return as the system already said that I had picked it up. Therefore, she offered that I buy the 2 products and then receive $10 in extrabucks. However, I did not want to do that. I had ordered these items expecting to only pay a certain amount. She then got frusturated with me, and yelled... she said "you know, whatever, just take it, you know you could've came out of this $3 ahead.. but oh well." very rude. She rolled her eyes at me and basically scolded me as if she was my mother. I left the store very annoyed and disrespected. A couple days later, I checked my chase account, and I had been debited $7.84. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE. It is bad enough that I got shorted extrabucks on a WRONG ORDER, YELLED AT BY A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE, AND ON TOP OF THAT I WAS CHARGED TWICE ON AN ORDER THAT WAS WRONG TO BEGIN WITH?! THIS IS ABSOLUTLEY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I would understand if I had been rude with the lady when THEY MESSED UP MY ORDER. But the fact that I was completely understanding of the situation when I had walked in the store, the fact that they messed it up and then proceeded to scold me for it. WOW. Safe to say that I will NEVER be going to this store again. I really hope that something is done about the horrible customer service that is being received at this store. I've worked with CVS in the past and have never had such terrible experiences as I have at the stores in Indy. This store, in particular, gave me so much problems that I almost missed getting my prescription refilled because of their ineptitude. I tried to be pro-active prior to a previous pick-up to make sure I didn't need anything (since my doctor is out-of-state) and they assured me it was fine. Then when I went to pick up my prescription, they told me they told me it was out-of-stock, and to come back in a few days. A few days later, it was still not stocked and they needed information from my doctor to approve my prescription. I was left scrambling to get them the information they needed when I tried to be proactive months ago. Then once it was all taken care of on my end, they still didn't have the item in stock and asked if I'd want to change prescriptions, which is ridiculous! I found the whole situation extremely frustrating and almost resulted in me not getting a prescription I needed filled. read more
