Except for Needler's and maybe an aisle at the downtown Kroger, there is no other drugstore downtown Indy so this is really a gap in the market. There is also a drive-thru for the pharmacy - I believe the only one that exists downtown. Besides the hours, I've always been able to find exactly what I'm looking for here, and really appreciate the self check out. I've gotten a couple vaccines here as well after making an appointment online and the appointment went smoothly and the pharmacists were nice. I did have some questions about Claritin D once (I had never used it before) and one pharmacist was abrasive and condescending, but a kinder one soon stepped in to take over - she seemed to be used to doing that sort of thing.

Like 90% of the food I eat in Indianapolis is gas station food- helps me to survive while I'm there because fancy restaurants are just too expensive. My health care system sent over a prescription to this location and the pharmacy processed it with no issues. Shortly after my prescription was sent over to Walgreens, the pharmacy called me to let me know it was ready for pick-up. The pharmacist at the counter was super helpful, clear, and concise when providing me with instruction on how to take the medication. Didn't rush the interaction and was available to answer any question I may have had.

Typically at less one person in front of me is in a rush or has an issue with something or frankly an attitude with the techs. Every time I have come, they have acted with patience and kindness and took all the time needed to make sure people understand the issues they may be having or the delay in their medications. And they always apologize to me if there has been a delay in my wait yime. Could not have better things to say about this location!

I have never went in and couldn't find what I was looking for. If there is a downfall I would say that you have to pay for parking, but if you are running in REALLY quickly you may be okay but if you plan to stay for a little bit you better pay. Think gas station/convenience store offering locally made food items, freshly prepared bowls/drinks and kolaches. Second guilty admission: never had a kolache. The nice woman behind the counter helped me choose (they were buy one, get one free)! So I chose one egg and cheese, and one spinach and cheese. They were warmed in an oven while I went to grab a coffee and use the restroom, which was very clean and well-stocked. Pro tip: if you want a latte or another specialty coffee, order at the counter. If you want to make your own, go to the coffee bar. It's less expensive, plus they have a variety of sweeteners, Torani syrups, and assorted creamers (including plant-based). The cash register employee let me know when they were ready to go, and my grand total was less than $6. I picked up a few hot sauce packets from the condiment bar and sat down in the dining area to eat. The kolache itself is essentially a small, light sandwich. The bread was soft, with a hint of sweetness. The egg and cheese combo was perfect for my light lunch! I had a bite of the spinach and cheese kolache before I left, which was even more flavorful and cheesy! Can't wait to have it tomorrow morning. I enjoy shopping there I've been shopping there for quite some time now. Only thing I don't like is sometimes they don't have the electric carts so I try to shop early in the morning so maybe I can get electric cart. So if you ever in the neighborhood of downtown Indianapolis stop by Kroger's on East Michigan Street they have great values great products or you're not shopping just stop by and tell them what a great and wonderful job they're doing. So all of the old reviews that mention Marsh don't apply to this newer store, now called Needler's Fresh Market. I don't know -- I think Needler's is pretty good! It has a little bakery on site (Lemon's Bakery Cafe), which has hot food and baked goods, with seating by big windows that overlook Mass Ave. Beyond the cafe, the rest of the joint is a small grocery store. You'll find a modest produce section with fresh-looking greens and fruit and things. They sell house-made hummus and sushi. The wine section is abysmal, but I did find a bottle of one of my cheapie low-key favorite bottles of Malbec here, so I picked that up. The dried ramen section is also better than it needs to be. The prices seem to be about the same as Kroger and other grocery stores. Checkout was quick and there were several registers open. The only thing is that I entered through the cafe and exited by the registers, so I got a little turned around once I exited. Keep in mind that you can only enter/exit through the cafe at certain hours. They lock that door after a particular time. (I think it's 5 or 6 p.m.)
