Always super helpful and the staff is great! We've been using this location for years and it's so convenient being inside of Target.

I frequent this location multiple times a week, and although items are always in stock and…read moreemployees are always friendly, there are two major issues that I've seen. The pharmacy is incredibly short staffed or doesn't have any idea on how to run a pharmacy. Again, the employees are friendly, but it never takes less than 20 min (at the least) to pick up a prescription both inside & out. I've tried coming at many different times....morning, midday, evening & late at night and it's always the same! The second thing hasn't happened often but is one of those things that should NEVER happen at any store, much less a pharmacy and wellness store. I went in this morning to get medicine for a sinus & respiratory flare I've been in the last 2 weeks. In front of the door were TWO employees smoking. I had to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke just to get in the door. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!

3/2 Graveyard Shift (Drive-Thru Pharmacy, ~11PM)…read more This experience was unacceptable. I used the drive-thru pharmacy around 11PM to fill a prescription related to a documented work injury. At drop-off, I provided clear billing instructions to ensure the prescription was processed correctly under the appropriate workers' compensation coverage so that no personal insurance or co-pay would apply. The prescribing provider had also clearly indicated this on the prescription itself. When I returned approximately two hours later, I was charged a standard co-pay under my personal insurance. I immediately explained -- again -- that this was a work-related injury and that the prescription should not have been processed that way. The pharmacist then spent another 20 minutes looking for the billing paperwork, stating it had potentially been thrown away. It ultimately could not be located. Losing or discarding billing documentation for a work injury claim is not a minor oversight -- it reflects a serious lack of attention to process and accountability. At nearly 2AM, needing the medication more than a prolonged dispute, I paid the fee under protest so I could leave with what I medically required. This situation should not have happened. Work injury billing is routine and should be handled correctly the first time. Walgreens needs a review of overnight document handling procedures to prevent this from happening to someone else.

My nurse actually called HEB pharmacy before my discharge to insure all prescribed medications were in stock and would be available. HEB assured us it was all in stock and would be ready. That was at 10 this morning. Arrived at HEB pharmacy at 3 this afternoon and they had 1 prescription ready, but the rest would be ready within 30 minutes. Went back at 6:15 and was told 4 were now ready, and 8 were on back order and would be available in 2 to 5 days. Very serious as these were needed TODAY given my hospital discharge, which is why my nurse called them. Beyond aggravating. I don't know why they couldn't have been honest in the first place. And lied again to our face. And lied yet again a 3rd time. I do NOT recommend this pharmacy. AT ALL.

Regarding H‑E‑B Pharmacists, and their staff - All I can say is WOW! What incredible hearts!…read more Though I have so MANY wonderful things to share about the H-E-B Pharmacy (on Alabama & Dunlevy in Montrose) and I will get to that! ~ This review is in regards to Humble's H-E-B Pharmacy. With a medically fragile daughter needing her COVID Vaccination- I wanted to be sure she would not arrive at the pharmacy during their busiest hours. I went in to speak with the pharmacist (Jamie) to determine when the best time would be. I quickly shared that my daughter's health can be severely compromised if exposed to even the slightest head-cold. The pharmacist gave me some forms to fill out (standard for receiving the vaccine) and told me to bring those back when we came. She gave me her schedule (to be sure SHE would be present when my daughter arrived). When we went back, this pharmacist brought the vaccine to our car for my daughter. I was so incredibly grateful. But, it didn't stop there! When I phoned back to schedule the next vaccine - HEB's "Floating Pharmacist" took my call she said she would be happy to also take my daughter's vaccine out to my car. While explaining *why we could NOT arrive in the next few minutes, as there is MUCH to do, load, and prepare-for, in order to just BEGIN to transport my daughter safely, from house to car...THEN, there'd be the short five minute drive. With help from my daughter's nurse - We would, at best, arrive in approximately two hours. The Floating Pharmacist was scheduled to leave at that time. So, here's what happened instead! ~ This amazing lady came TO OUR HOME to give the vaccine, so that my daughter would not need to make the trip over. A couple of weeks later - It was time for the flu vaccine. I phoned looking for the Floating Pharmacist (as she had shared that she would be glad to come again). She was not in. However - Jamie was back, and said she would be doing an outside clinic in a couple of days (who knew H‑E‑B Pharmacists conduct "outdoor clinics"?!). She brought the flu vaccine to our home! When we are sick, and feeling bad - It's easy to become frustrated when our pharmacy (or anybody for that matter) doesn't move as fast as we want them to. But, slow down, and breathe. Understand that a LOT rides on these Professionals doing "a perfect job". Your life could actually be at stake if they rush through what they do. Perhaps... When we're sick and feeling bad - It can be just as easy to feel GRATEFUL for Pharmacists that take extra, individualized care, in the services they provide. Thank you Humble H-E-B. We sure do appreciate you!
