Well after sitting on hold for 5 years and having to call back, argue with the bot, and FINALLY get to talk to someone, she's unenthusiastic, bored tone, short answering, "mm. bye*click*" was how the phone call was ended after my question was answered(thankfully). I know it's not a "don't go here this place is horrible" kinda review but seriously, it was a simple question on a phone call, put in a little energy, get it done, and don't be a cunt about it.

Whereas CVS has been very consistent with burning me... although the CVS across the street, maybe an exception.. only went there once, and it was surprisingly good, compared to any other. Very poor pharmacy experience involving an employee named Holly…read more Holly was combative from the beginning of the interaction, but the bigger issue was how my prescription and insurance were handled. My insurance was already on file, yet the prescription was apparently not processed through it. When I questioned the $30 price, Holly told me I could either pay $30 or go to the back of the drive-through line behind approximately five cars while the prescription was rerun through my insurance. She also stated that rerunning it would take about "two minutes." I do not understand why insurance already on file was not used initially, or why correcting a two-minute billing issue required me to end the transaction, wait through the entire drive-through line again, and start over. Rather than lose even more time over an issue I did not create, I paid the $30. That cost me an additional $15. Customers should not have to choose between paying more for a prescription or being sent to the back of the line because of an avoidable processing issue. Between the unnecessary additional charge and Holly's confrontational manner, this was an extremely poor pharmacy experience.

Based on what we were hearing, we knew we needed to check it out. My wife told me she thought there was some connection with Disneyland or Disney World and the Dole whip they served. We still need to research this, we are unsure if there is a connection. Today we were traveling from Winston-Salem to Asheville and decided we should find some Dole whip. We were passing through Hickory and my wife said we should look on our Sheetz app and begin calling them to inquire about whether or not they had a whip machine since we didn't want to take the time to visit multiple stores. We got lucky and the first location we called confirmed they had a whip machine, so we quickly reset our route to stop in. This location is very convenient to I-40 and we stepped inside and got busy making our whip. We proceeded to the cashier and didn't know if they charge by weight or not but were shocked when the cashier told us they only charge 99 cents per dish! Wow, what a deal. The Dole whip was very smooth and refreshing and we will absolutely be stopping in to grab whip, especially during the summer. It would absolutely hit the spot on a hot summer day. Another reason to love Sheetz!
