My dog his name is Taco is my best buddy. He has many health issues. I arrived at this CVS on CatawbaValley Blvd. In Hickory NC at 430 pm they close at 7. She said she would not fill it until the next day. I asked why and Ashley became belligerent, short and very disrespectful. Completely uncaring for my animal. Because Taco has a callopsed trachea and congestive heart failure. Along with Kidney disease. Ashley, when I arrived was doing absolutly nothing but chatting with a coworker behind the counter. Laughing and having a good time. I told her that i really need this medicine for the evening so Taco could sleep. She stated plainly that she didn't care about my dog and his problems. I was dumbfounded. WTH!!! She further stated that she wouldnt fill it without my Vet's DEA number. I said well call the Vet. The vet I use was still working until 5. She wouldn't do it. So I walked out to the parking lot and called my Vet and told her what was going on. She said she would call Ashley herself. And she did. My vet called me back a few minutes later and she said that Ashley really was a bi?ch. Even to the Vet. I wasnt able to get Taco's meds that night and of course taco had a really bad night as did I. All because of an apathetic rude uncaring individual named Ashley at the CVS store in Hickory. Ashley is a very shady character. No integrity. Absolutly none. Obviously hates animals. She really needs to get a solitary job where she is absolutly alone. She has zero people skills. Or empathy towards animals. I'll go out on a limb and state that she probably supports the Trump administration.

Bottom line, I was one of…read moreseveral customers in line this morning, all venting to each other about Walgreens horrible customer non-service and vowing we'd never use this pharmacy again. When I finally got to speak with someone, I showed them my phone and the fact that I was still on hold WITH THEM, a call that had started nearly 40 minutes earlier while I was still at home. After talking to the person behind the counter - who was rude, condescending and completely not helpful - I left Walgreens and drove to the CVS a mile or so south, still listening to the "on hold" recording that promised someone would help me shortly. Did I mention this was my third call to this same Walgreens in two days and that my doctor's office had called them twice in the past 24 hours regarding this same issue? As I was walking into the CVS, someone actually answered the call that had kept me on hold for now almost an hour. (I was stubborn enough to see just how long it would take.) Answering the call, I explained that I was about to walk into the CVS to move my account there. Thankfully, I'll never have to deal with this particular Walgreens again.

I just made a phone call to let them know my partner was coming to retrieve a prescription of mine because I don't feel well enough to drive on my own. Well after sitting on hold for 5 years and having to call back, argue with the bot, and FINALLY get to talk to someone, she's unenthusiastic, bored tone, short answering, "mm. bye*click*" was how the phone call was ended after my question was answered(thankfully). I know it's not a "don't go here this place is horrible" kinda review but seriously, it was a simple question on a phone call, put in a little energy, get it done, and don't be a cunt about it.

Whereas CVS has been very consistent with burning me... although the CVS across the street, maybe an exception.. only went there once, and it was surprisingly good, compared to any other. In that case, probably due to the specific location/staff. Clean, friendly, helpful and well-stocked :-) Woohoo! As good as it gets! :-)

Very poor pharmacy experience involving an employee named Holly…read more Holly was combative from the beginning of the interaction, but the bigger issue was how my prescription and insurance were handled. My insurance was already on file, yet the prescription was apparently not processed through it. When I questioned the $30 price, Holly told me I could either pay $30 or go to the back of the drive-through line behind approximately five cars while the prescription was rerun through my insurance. She also stated that rerunning it would take about "two minutes." I do not understand why insurance already on file was not used initially, or why correcting a two-minute billing issue required me to end the transaction, wait through the entire drive-through line again, and start over. Rather than lose even more time over an issue I did not create, I paid the $30. That cost me an additional $15. Customers should not have to choose between paying more for a prescription or being sent to the back of the line because of an avoidable processing issue. Between the unnecessary additional charge and Holly's confrontational manner, this was an extremely poor pharmacy experience.
