-10 stars the pharmacist Ethel at Greencastle CVS is the nasty women I've ever dealt with, I've been going to this location for about a year. I get my prescription filled every month right around the same day each month, I've dealt with her on multiple occasions and has been rude, disrespectful and nasty to me almost everytime I've went to fill my script ( especially if there were issues or questions about it) this month was the worse! May 22nd 2026 I had my dr send over my prescription and they asked for it to be filled today as I wa leaving out of town and needed to pick it update rather than tomorrow. This became a WHOLE ISSUE apparently, I called and asked why they were you refusing to fill my prescription and explained I needed it today ( to clarify my insurance covers my medication to be filled and picked up 2 days before the 30 day marks ) it was abnormal for me to pick my medication up on the 28th day of my months considering the type of medication it is and I have to leave my town to go there to pick up. Anyway, they returned my call over an hour later, Ethel was immediately rude to me, talking down on me when I was being polite and just trying to figure this out, she claimed my insurance needed to prove this request because it was before fill date ( in her mind ) so I called my i immediately after and spoke to the women who told me, my medication that I've been on for 6 years was approved to be picked up on day 28 every month and that Ethel didn't even try to run the medication on her end. My insurance offered to call them and speak to her. They got back to me and said " I spoke with Ethel, she said that this would be the ONLY time she would fill this medication and she would refuse todo it anymore after this" so here I am confused on why this women thinks she has ANY say about my medication. She thinks she own this pharmacy , she thinks she's a fucking doctor apparently because she is still in there thinking she can tell people when they can pick up there medication even though MY DOCTOR AND INSURANCE APPROVED IT. I will never ever use CVS for anything, myself, my family, my friends, my whole community is going to hear about this and I will make it my personal mission to have her taken out of this position because it is not okay to withhold people medication and treat them badly because you think your some sort of god. I will be speaking to corporate, and anybody else above her that can this women a reality check because she needs one! DONT NOT USE THIS CVS OR ANY CVS FOR ANY PRESCRIPTIONS OR SHOPPING!!! read more

My son has the flu. He received a positive flu test. He has had a very high fever for a day and a half. My husband told them his test was positive. CVS refused to fill a Tamiflu prescription because the instructions were for preventive and not treatment. So we weren't able to get it. I normally use Modnur's which I love, but he was treated on Sunday and had no choice but to use them. Insane! read more

I'm so sick and tired of the staff members that work here. Every time I go to call them or pick up a prescription they are either lost in conversation or give me an attitude. It's every time. When I go to pick it up, they're either busy talking and socializing with their co workers or sighing and acting annoyed. I believe that if you work in customer service you should treat people with respect because that is literally your job. If you have this pharmacist I would recommend you change ASAP. read more

We have lived here for 6 years and have used this site for all our pharmaceutical needs . Do not visit the pharmacy and expect respectful customer service . The pharmacists seem to hate their jobs , refuse to interact with customers and have no empathy in trying to solve or answer questions . To make it worse , I feel really bad for the elderly that live here and don't realize they have better choices . We will be changing pharmacys' ASAP . read more

Open Letter to CVS Pharmacy, THEY refuse to answer the phone in the pharmacy department. I drove 25 minutes to this store (the nearest one to my home) yesterday, and all the while I was on hold on my phone!! I walked in and was able to walk right up to the counter since there was NO ONE standing in line at the pharmacy counter. So, WHY can't these people answer the phone to assist a customer??? Unfortunately, this is not just at this location but seems to be common throughout the company. This experience has been the same in THREE different states and at least 6-8 different locations!!! It is almost like CVS trains their employees to not care about the customers, at all. I am currently on HOLD, going on 1 HOUR and 12 minutes, waiting for an update on my son's medication that he has been on for the last 6 years. Oh and someone just picked up the phone and hung up on me. Why are we forced to be without his much-needed prescription? Why are we forced to "deal" with rude, uncaring, unprofessional CVS employees? And yes, we are being "forced to deal" with how CVS treats its customers because they are given preference by supply companies (so the smaller, local pharmacies struggle to keep prescriptions in stock) and because of the underhanded agreements and partnerships with insurance companies and large corporations to keep business booming. I feel TRAPPED since we are "locked" into filing it here because the prescription cannot be transferred and it takes a few days to get a doctor to call in or transmit another script to another pharmacy, and the cycle starts over again. I feel sorry for the elderly and disabled who cannot "just drive to the store for answers and assistance" with their prescriptions and rely heavily on the phone to communicate with the Pharmacist. Cutting off communication to their customers could be LIFE-THREATENING when it comes to our HEALTH. I was told, rudely, that they are 5 days behind filling prescriptions..THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!! Some medications can be life-threatening if stopped abruptly and some medications (like my son) are considered "controlled substances", we already have restrictions in place being unable to refill a prescription more than 2 days before we are completely out. Completely out...of a medical treatment that has worked for the last 6 years to give someone the ability to be his best person, to give someone a chance to have structure and stability. Oh, and not even to mention that they close the drive-through and force everyone to come inside! WHY force the elderly and disabled to come inside and walk to the back of the store when that might not be possible? WHY force the sick to potentially infect everyone in the store including the pharmacy staff? Why are we Americans forced with a lackluster healthcare system in "the greatest country in the world"? Oh, yes, that is because we are NOT "the greatest country in the world". Our healthcare system here is for PROFIT... not for the HEALTH of the community. DO Better CVS...At least ANSWER THE DAMN PHONE!!!!!! read more

The past 3 times i've been to this location to pick up prescriptions have been awful. The staff behind the pharmacy counter make it very evident that you're bothering them by existing, let alone picking up a medication. I sat at the drive thru window for almost 15 minutes before someone even walked close to the window. I would highly suggest finding another pharmacy to send your prescriptions to. read more

The CVS Greencastle location used to be a great store and the pharmacy seemed reliable and efficient. We have tried calling about a prescription refill for the past 3 days and are hearing a temporary closed message. I called the store and spoke to a nice apologetic lady who advised the pharmacy was experiencing a technical issue which blocked them from scanning any scripts and that the issue was expected to be resolved "today". What happens then? My guess is the pharmacy will be that much farther behind in filling prescriptions. They have already reduced their hours of operation and close for an hour for lunch! Most folks in this area live out of town and the nearest locations are 30 minutes away and depending on insurances you can't just up and go to any pharmacy. Very annoying and I felt the need to voice my frustration!! I will be looking into my personal ability to change pharmacies. Love this cvs store in Greencastle. Would be 5 stars but the pharmacy knocked my review down two stars. Everyone working at the front of the store is super nice, always welcoming, and always asks if you need help finding anything. The back of the store where the pharmacy is though, is not so friendly. There are at least three people working there that are nice and actually acknowledge your presence when you walk up to get your prescription, however for the most part you could stand there without a line in front or behind you, and wait while you watch them fill scrips and key in entries on the computer and even make eye contact with you without saying a word. A simple "I'll be right with you" would be suffice but you don't get that. The only reason I come here for my scripts is insurance purposes. However everything unrelated to the pharmacy is amazing like I said. It's by far my favorite place to do my run in and run out "forgot detergent" or "gotta grab make up I'm out of" store. I just wouldn't recommend using their pharmacy. And the fact they don't sell cigarettes is a plus as well. At least they are getting health conscious. read more
