I've been coming to this store for years to fill my prescriptions. Before today, I would've rated this place at least four stars. I'm disappointed that all the good pharmacy staff members who used to serve me are gone and I had to deal with an arrogant, gestapo like unprofessional who goes by the name of Harout (USC intern). To make a long story short, I became irate when I just discovered my prescription co-pay increased; Harout was very belittling toward my concerns and simply told me 'Calm down sir, this isn't a fast food joint'. I complained about Harout to the acting pharmacy supervisor on 8/29/21. I might change my pharmacy if Harout is still working at this store next time I visit. read more

The experiences at this pharmacy are hit or miss. Half the time things go smoothly. But there were several occasions where my drs office sent a prescription that the pharmacy said they did not receive, and I was left going back and forth asking my dr to send it again, and then they said they sent it and then the pharmacy said they never got it. There was no offer for them to try calling the doctors office even though I have no control over their communication systems. Also, why do you ask for DOB on your phone menu when the first thing a person says when picking up is asking for your date of birth? One time I tried to give my name first then date of birth and I was told they don't need my name without DOB. I get it but it's kinda rude. Ive had better service at other CVS pharmacies, so even though this is the closest one to where I live, I will be going to the other locations that have better customer service. read more

I went to this location every time I need supplies since it is the closest to my house for over 10 years now. went there to get a NyQuil and since I go to this store every time I need a pharmacy or any other supplies, I knew where the flew related supplies are located! I noticed a double pack of NyQuil on special for $7.99 on special a whole stack of an end cap section. I took a pack and walked towards the register and I noticed another section of the same stack of the same NyQuil pack with the same price on it! When approached, Angie the associate told me its $18.99 & after I confronted, we walked to the end cap and she verified that it is correct and it is their fault for mis labeling the product and they will honor the price. After talking to ALEX her manager he told me it is not the same product and he will not honor the price since it is not their fault. He was very rude, unprofessional and unqualified to be a manager. He had zero customer service skills let alone to be a manager! Angie, a Big respect for her, she went above and beyond to honor me the price, she didnt even question my observation on the price but just to have a proof so I can email the SVC customer complaint I walked with her and took a picture of the end caps. Alex is the biggest !@#$ I have ever seen at a retail level and he needs to get fired, since a write up or a final notice on how he handles customers is not gonna fix anything! He questioned my ability to read prices. I have taken pictures in case if they ask me for proof. Id drive extra mile to go to Walgreens where they treat you like a real customer. read more

THE ABSOLUTE WORST MOST INCONVENIENT PHARMACY EVER. I call they say my prescription is ready. Had to get a prescription filled. Waited in line 45 minutes. Then they say they need an extra ok from pharmacist. (This is NOT even a controlled substance btw). I say ok please get the pharmacist to approve whatever. She cannot she's on a lunch break. This is not unusual, this pharmacy is always backed up. Longest wait times, most problems. This is the only pharmacy close to my house so sometimes I get things filled her and I regret it every time. I will go somewhere else from now on. Previous::The pharmacy is ALWAYS understaffed. Don't ever expect to come in here and get a prescription filled without waiting forever. Even one that's already been filled you will have to wait in line for a long time. Even at hours where there's only one other person there. Tried to get a flu shot but the pharmacist was too busy to do it. Unfortunately this is like this all the t CHANGED MY REVIEW TO (from 1star) 4 stars because Melody who works at the pharmacy is INCREDIBLE. she is so helpful and holds this place together. She is the reason I will keep filling prescriptions here. Hopefully if you go to this pharmacy you will do so on a day when Melody the pharmacy tech is working. She is so nice and helpful to everyone. I had some glitches with my insurance and she helped me sort them out. Previous: If you are going to pick up a prescription that is already ready at the pharmacy be ready to wait in line for 45 minutes. There are so many people on a Thursday at 4:30pm and only one register (of 3) open. There are 6 people behind the counter and I'm sure they are busy.... On the corner of two heavily traveled streets, this CVS is, at times, is a challenge to get in and out of. However, I have found that driving through the Carl's Jr. parking lot is a much better entry and escape route because you don't have to deal with the traffic of San Fernando and Los Felix, instead a residential street with a traffic signal, making it safer to enter Los Felix. It is nice that they do have ample parking available no matter what day or time I visit. Although well lit, clean, and relatively organized, I don't like the angled aisles. I suppose it a loss prevention tactic. Regardless, I find myself roaming up and down aisles unnecessarily. The checkout lines are generally long because they typically only have one or two cashiers. Fellow Yelper, Haley M. said it best, "No matter what time of day you're there, the line is as long and miserable as a Russian bread line during the Cold War." On the upside, they do have the Express Checkout, which I typically use. Many people in this area don't really know how to or want to use it so I don't have to wait in line. Nice that you can pay with cash or card and use any coupons you may have in the Express Checkout. Since I only go in for one or two items, I don't bother "purchasing" a bag for whatever the going rate is these days. The reason for three stars is mainly the store layout and the lack of cashiers. read more

Review for the pharmacy: The technicians are pleasant and helpful but there are never enough working. There is always a line at this pharmacy. I've come in the morning, the evening, the middle of a weekday. There is always a wait and they are always understaffed. Think the drive-thru will save you time? Guess again. I was the third car in line and it took 18 minutes to get my prescription. I've had better luck at the CVS in Burbank on Verdugo. read more

UGH! I've been transferring my prescriptions here from the Rite Aid pharmacy in Highland Park (I moved) and it has been a BAD experience. I did this twice, once the day before Thanksgiving and once on Tuesday 12/13. Both times they took forever and the first time they didn't even do the transfer. Or they do the transfer but not fill it!!! On 12/13 I called at 5:30 PM to initiate transfer. At 8:40 I called to verify it was done and they said it was. I was actually surprised. So I went into the pharmacy at 9:20 PM and was told they were not ready yet. Huh??? The girl said well the transfer was done yes, but they were not ready yet. WTF?? So I ask when will it be ready? When can I come back and get them. And she informs me "we've very busy, how about 2 hours?" I was like fine. WHATEVER. That is the level of service you get from this place. The only good thing is they are 24 Hours and I think that's because that's how long it takes them to fill your script!!!! When I came back at 11:30, the guy still took 10 mnutes to fill it!!! You would think getting a bottle of acetaminophen at the local CVS would be straightforward. Went to the back of the store and selected CVS brand gelcaps. Did self-checkout and drove down the street to have breakfast at Village Bakery, putting $1 in the meter. I opened the sealed box, extracted the bottle, and opened it only to find the internal seal already broken. I woefully abandoned my flush meter and returned to CVS, where they were happy to replace the bottle, saying: "They do that all the time." The only thing they seemed surprised by was that the box was nicely sealed rather than re-taped. If you are going to buy OTC meds here, CHECK THEM before you drive away. I received an email saying I got 30% off my next in store purchase. Went to the store and bought $115 worth of stuff. I asked the cashier if they accept this coupon, he said "I don't know, I don't even have a cellphone, you need to read the instructions". No problem yet, I got out of the line and did some extra work. Copy, paste, and transfer to the CVS extra rewards card. After 10-15 minutes of research, I was sure now the coupon is on my rewards card and the ignorant cashier doesn't have to look at my phone and complain again. I went back in line, and waited again. When I got to the cashier again, I told him that it should be on my card now and asked him if he can confirm. He said we'll see, and he started scanning my items. Then he asked me to swipe my card. I asked him again if I got the 30% discount and he said "No". At that point I didn't really care anymore about the $33 and just wanted to pay so I don't have to deal with this place anymore. I want to state for the record that I'm not hating on the old worker who can't even use a cellphone. I just think CVS coupons are scam, I talked to other people and they seem to have had similar experiences. I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemies. read more

I live at CVS. Not sure why it's an obsession but it is lol. I like checking out what's new and what's on sale when I stop by for something. I can't ever leave with just toothpaste! However, that said, this is not one of my favorite CVS's. They always have long lines at the pharmacy and at the cashier. They also do not let you pay at the express lanes without waiting in the main "everything" line. Why can't I just pay myself and go? I even tried picking up my prescription in drive-thru and that took a long time as well. It was already filled! SMH... However, there staff is always helpful so kuddo's for the Customer Service. Also, once they finished all their remodeling, I'm finding more items on their shelves that interest me since for the longest time they had bare shelves :) read more

I can't speak to the rest of these reviews, but I just stopped by this location just to pick up a book of stamps. Admittedly, I only needed one stamp, but why not get a whole book? I'd hit about 3 different locations before this one looking for stamps, and none of them had any. I was helped by Scarlet, (very polite and professional), who told me that they didn't have any more stamps at the moment either. At this point, I'm frustrated. There's a stamp shortage in California, evidently. She then graciously offered me a stamp out of her personal "stash", I assume. It's a small gesture, and probably seemingly inconsequential to most of you, but to me it's an act that goes above and beyond the requirements of the job. If there were more Scarlets and less Angelos, this world would be a much better place. Thank you Scarlet!! read more

This CVS location will need to train their employees about service dogs. I walked in the store to pick up a few quick things with my two service dogs. When I was checking out, an employee who is a middle aged Armenian woman with a heavy accent and with very short hair (man cut) asked me why do need two service dogs and are they REAL service dogs??? She followed by giving me a smirk like " Yeah right, they are service dogs while nodding her head!" Very rude! How dare she! I suffer from PSTD and depression. I should have reported her to the manager but I was so in shock and so shaken up by this behavior which affected me emotionally. I didn't do anything about it this time but the next time this happens again, I will report this and it will be a serious fine!!! Pls educate your employees!!!! read more

I came into the store for the first time and was very happy with the patient service I got at the pharmacy,,, I had to explain the mistake that had been made with my prescription and they were understanding and helpful and I got the correct medicine I needed, I always find what I need at cvs whether its vitamins or all the other things in the home and cosmetic department, I was pleased with the service and helpful salespeople ready to assist in finding or giving me advice for something I needed. read more

*** Pit stop review (Glendale)*** I was working in the area and needed to pick up some general merchandise here. The store looks brand new. Everything is very clean and organized. The parking lot is large with plenty of parking space. There's a large self-serve check-out area at the front of the store too. I'm not too fond of the self-serve kiosks. It only works well when everyone is on the same page and knows how to use it. Often times I'm stuck behind a person that's hunting for keys or searching for the UPC. Anyway, what works the best for me is going the cashier :-) Shopping area = Very clean Service = friendly Restroom = clean Parking = big with easy access in & out. read more

Here's an idea. If you need ID to buy meds that are over the counter. Maybe have a sign and keep them behind the counter instead of having me wait in line for 20 mins only to tell me I need ID. Then I have to go to my car, get my ID and then wait 20 mins again. read more

PHARMACY PORTION IS NOT OPEN 24 HOURS. Really annoying when the internet says otherwise. First time I tried to get over-the-counter medicine (actually over the counter, not in the aisle), I waited 20 minutes in a line to be told I had to ask up front. Waited 20 minutes up front. "They have it in the back." "But they told me to come up here." "Then I guess it's out of stock." Idiotic. And it made me late to work. This time around, put in a prescription I needed ASAP. They said it would take an hour and a half. Went to dinner, came back and they were closed. Like, store open, but metal curtain down around the pharmacy. I guess I don't understand their unique definition of "open 24 hours." This location is convenient to my work, but not convenient if I'm driving back twice on a weekend to try to get medicine I needed on Friday. So done with this place. read more

Do you like things that are the worst? Then you'll LOVE the CVS on San Fernando Rd! Just a brief synopsis: No matter what time of day you're there, the line is as long and miserable as a Russian bread line during the Cold War. They call me from their automated system twice a week to tell me my prescription's ready. I've asked them in phone and in person about a million times to turn the automated call system off, as I don't like receiving calls at 7:30 am. They continue. When I give up and just go over there, my prescriptions are never ready, and/or they've filed them away again for some reason. For over a year, they had me under two different profiles, both with the same name, which caused much confusion and lost time before they finally figured out that the two girls with the same name, same address, and same birthday were, indeed, the same person. They gave me the wrong prescription once....Yes, that's right. The wrong prescription. And since it was for a case of strep, I wasn't familiar with how the pills should look and almost took one. They seem to be consistently out of several products around the store, and yet, they are always stocking (Second Circle of Hell?). The only redeeming thing about this place is the one dude at the pharmacy that honors coupons that are expired. He's the hero of a sinking ship. May he go on to bigger and better pharmacies. read more

This CVS is a pretty standard store. All of the aisles are fairly organized and clearly marked. It is a fairly large space and easy to maneuver. It also has a drive-thru pharmacy. The parking lot is of decent size with ample availability. It is conveniently located close to the Costco on Los Feliz Blvd. read more

Stood on line for 25+ minutes, with 5 people in line behind me, while the pharmacy representative ignored everyone, deciding instead to try to resolve Christy's insurance problems. The reason I know her name is the number of times he said it to her insurance company...during the almost half hour the rest of us stood waiting just to DROP OFF our prescriptions. When I finally asked if she could step off the line and call her insurance company, she gave me a bitch face and turned her back. Been to this cvs a few times and they should actually have two lanes to send you to a physical cashier or self checkout. But no,one whole line for both and if you get a genius in front of you well then you will be stuck. Not every one of us humans are capable of understanding procedures or directiins... So I would love for CVS to have a larger section where your items will sit once you scan them. Anyhow, they had milk and that is what I walked in to get. $3.29 a gallon isn't bad. 10 cents for a large paper bag. Plenty of parking. read more

Alright, this experience is kind of a mixed bag. The people here are very friendly. I went in to pick up a prescription last week, and had to also purchase a money order. The entire ordeal took around an hour, in between waiting in line at the pharmacy and at the main checkout line. The problem: Please don't encourage me to use Express Checkout. Chances are, if I'm waiting in line, I have a solid reason to be there. It's not like I want to be there. I'm all about self-checkout, but I needed a money order. That's it. Here's what happens with good management: place a floor employee at the register and call it a night. Instead: in a store with well over 30 customers inside, there is one person working the main register and two (that's right, two) people ushering folks into Express Checkout, one of them a manager. This is simply unacceptable. I should include that the poor lady at the register was also the one answering the phones, and she was noticeably stressed (not to mention at least 60 years of age, although you can take that how you want). If I, a fleeting customer, noticed, then your manager damn well better notice. And she better do something about it. All in all, I was in there for way too long and although I got what I needed, and with good people at the end, it should have taken a fraction of the time. read more

Live and learn! After a 15 minute wait at the drive up window, we were informed by the attendant that we would need to come inside and wait in line. We won't be coming back; there are typically long lines and then once we get our order placed are told to wait, sometimes for an hour or more. We went to Arden Pharmacy in Glendale a short distance away and received immediate attention. These big chain pharmacies are low on customer service and high on corporate profit. We would much rather patronize our small neighborhood pharmacy. read more

Upon arrival, I asked the very first person I saw where the item would be located. When I couldn't find the item, I approached the next employee I could find. This person happened to be Martin. Martin is stocking the magazine/picture frame area. As I approach, he's having a full on speakerphone conversation with someone on his cellphone. I said "excuse me." Before I could finish, he raised his hand to me to tell me to hold on or be quiet...? I don't know but I didn't appreciate his attitude. At the same time he so rudely told me as loud as he could that if it's not in stock it's not in stock. What a waste. As I checked his badge, he raised it to me as if to challenge me. You can call and they answer and they have a drive-thru if you are on lunch hour and running late. They understand most insurance and can talk you through why something costs the way it does - very helpful. But do not listen to most of what they recommend/advise during their consultations. On three separate occasions, I have been told stuff that I know to be wrong, misleading and just kinda dumb. They once told me the wrong info about birth control, which I corrected by simply reading the packaging. They told me the wrong side effects from a particular antibiotic, which Google could simply set straight. Thank goodness they are not doctors. Please fill it and shut it. *I just lowered my rating of this pharmacy because while they were filling it (and still not shutting up), they gave me the WRONG PRESCRIPTION. I call to refill and find another woman's name on it. No apologies, just an "oops" and a stupid laugh. read more

Been going to this CVS for a few years as it used to be close to my house and the only one with drive thru which helps if you have a baby. The services was always pretty slow but i could always get my prescription that day nowadays not so much. This past year it's been getting worse. We drop off prescriptions and are told a couple hours and then go to pick it up a couple days later to find out they're out of stock. They've had us waiting 2 weeks a couple times and caused us to be without prescriptions during that time. Today was my breaking point though. Went to pick up my mom's prescription that she was told would be ready Thursday by 6pm. We get there and are told they're out of the medication and won't have any until Thursday. The guy continues to argue with me as my mom is completely out of her medication and i finally speak with the pharmacist who gives a speech that someone called to tell us there would be nothing until Tuesday. Nope bald face lie as no missed calls showed nor any voicemails. She finally has me come inside to wait for her to call stores to see if they had this prescription and she only calls 3 stores. Finally we just decide to take whatever they have because my mom needed her medication to function. I don't know why they can't seem to order medications properly but this isn't the 1st time and it's getting to the point where you don't want to take prescriptions here because they can't seem to order the quantities necessary for all their customers. Can you guys get it together because you're messing with important medications. read more

This is specifically for the Pharmacy part of the store. I am writing this review as I stand here in this line for the second time this week just trying to get my insurance updated and to pick up my prescription. It is consistently the slowest place to fill your prescriptions and it doesn't appear to be staffing problems but either slow systems and/or lack of efficiency on the part of the employees. The pharmacists are unprofessional. I was next in line, the pharmacist calls me to go to her for help, then a man comes up to her and starts helping him without even apologizing for making me wait. I am standing there looking like an idiot between their conversation about cough medicine, I was so upset about their lack of professionalism. However, a young man at the register made everything better. He was the total opposite of the female (white) pharmacist. I was a first time customer at the pharmacy. My information was quickly entered into their system and I was told my order would be ready in $15 and my co-pay would be $5. Sure enough the order was ready in less than 15 minutes. The store is large and has a nice selection of magazines and "as seen on TV" products. Admit it - you've always wanted to feel the fabric of the famed pajama jean. The store was clean, the staff was friendly and my pharmacy order was filled correctly and on time. I visited the store yesterday and left my laptop at the self check-out. When I realized it was missing a few hours later, I returned to the store and met Laneshia who promised to review the security cameras, which she did as soon as she was able. She discovered that Romeo had seen the lost item (not realizing it was a laptop because it was in a case) and put it behind the counter for safe keeping. His shift had ended before I returned yesterday so the missing laptop was discovered today. Laneshia called me as soon as she located my lost computer. I thought my laptop was gone forever, but thanks to Romeo's quick action, I am writing this from that same laptop, just over 24 hours later. I am so grateful that these two helpful, honest employees were working yesterday and cannot tell you how much it means to have my laptop returned. I tried to give Romeo a reward but he only smiled and told me his goal was to make his customers happy and that was enough for him. I remember Romeo from prior visits to the store because he is always smiling, always friendly and clearly takes pride in providing excellent customer service, which is becoming a rare commodity in the service/retail industry. These two people are a great example of how to provide great service. There is a CVS much closer to my house but I usually drive to this location because it has a nicer atmosphere and the employees are friendly. I am certainly glad I did, and my experience over the last two days has ensured I will be a customer for life. read more
