With an upcoming trip on the horizon I needed to stop and pick up a few travel size items and some OTC items. With their competitor Rite Aid out of business (my usual stop to get such items) I decided this was going to be the next best thing. I had no idea that this location existed. I ended up here by chance. I was actually heading somewhere else until I saw the familiar building. The lot for this locations is a bit wonky. Be careful traversing it and be mindful of the vehicles entering from different directions. Inside, it was your typical setup for a CVS. However, the one item I was looking for was like going on a scavenger hunt. I had went to where I thought it would be, but guess what, it wasn't there. I then just started going up and down aisles until I stumbled on it. What is weird, where I found my item was more in the vitamins section than near the cold medicine where I expected it to be. On top of that, in this section, some items that were in the cold medicine section were repeated in the vitamins. Would have been nice if they just put them exactly where they should have been. I then made it to the travel section and browsed what they had. Grabbed what I was out of and headed to the checkouts. I opted for the self checkout route, as I always do. I wish these registers, for as long as they have been in use, would run more smoothly. Listen, I have already put the item in the bagging area, keep up. Then, without thinking, I printed my receipt. Very frustrating experience at this CVS Pharmacy. They somehow lost my prescription refill, which caused an unnecessary delay in getting my medication. Instead of taking ownership of the issue, I had to spend my own time following up and figuring out what happened. The lack of communication and accountability made an already stressful situation even worse. I understand mistakes can happen, but I expect a pharmacy to handle prescriptions more carefully and keep customers informed. I hope they improve their processes so this doesn't happen to someone else. read more

The issue here isn't the pharmacy, but the pharmacist assistant. Bless her heart she really tries, but her little knowledge of English doesn't help. I've been patient with her, but when she struggles to understand no matter how slowly I talk. This frequently causes mix ups with prescriptions. It's easily solved when you talk to the pharmacist directly. But so frustrating... The rest of the staff and store are friendly and clean. read more

We moved here recently from Olney and have gone to that CVS for 32 years. They are like family. The CVS in Urbana is the family iPhone wish you never knew. The coupon machine is always broke. They don't put out the advertised prices on product until late Sunday if at all. The cashier tries to get you to do self checkout because she doesn't want to be bothered. Then, they don't often take their own coupons and claim some problems with your CVS card. We don't use the pharmacy because it is such a nightmare. We intend to find another CVS somewhere or wait until we visit Olney as their customer service is so superior. I'd give it zero stars if I could! read more

The worst customer service at a CVS I have ever seen! My prescriptions are always out of stock. I had one prescription refill that was 5 days late because it was back ordered. I called down the street to another drug store and they had plenty. I have transferred all of my families prescriptions to another drug store. read more

Recently got a covid test from here to return home to Hawaii on May 12th This usually takes about 1-2 days. I still haven't received my results and its been 4 days later. I'm now quarantining because the CVS pharmacy wont update me or return my results on mychart. Is there a way to contact this pharmacy and find out why? I feel kind of left in the dark with no help and just an automated phone machine that gets me no answers. My return home was awful, simply because I paid $150 out of pocket for a test due to work and never got my results. I should have saved my money. What a joke... The pharmacy is abysmal. Had a prescription called in by the doctor and one written script that we dropped off in person. Gave the pharmacy staff my insurance card and the guy working there rudely said the account was inactive and they would "look into it". Then he just marched off. Obviously we had more questions: are you contacting my insurance or do i? What are the next steps? Do you see this a lot? When should we check back? We weren't able to ask any of those questions because he walked away and we were left with 0 assistance. So, i called my insurance...my card is fine, the numbers on the card are accurate, and everything is up to date. I called my prescription benefits just to double check...same as insurance company, everything is good. I called CVS back and said there is nothing wrong with my card numbers so we would just come back to CVS to pick up the prescriptions and take them to another pharmacy (mind you this was not a heated convo). 10 mins later, arrive at the CVS and they cancelled the prescription. Legit CANCELLED the prescription when we told them we would be there in 10 mins to pick them up. Had to go back to urgent care to ask for ANOTHER script. Giant Pharmacy came through for us. No issues with the card, not rude, and not incompetent. Looking at the reviews for this location, seems I'm not the only one... read more

Sooo I was just on hold for 12 minutes. Apparently the pharmacist didn't actually put me on hold and I was able to hear customers and employees talking. The woman who originally answered the phone was talking about people complaining the drive through line was "around the block" and said "apparently people don't like to walk inside in the rain" and a male employee responded by saying "that's their problem". I'm assuming they were annoyed people weren't coming inside to pick up their orders even though it was indeed raining? You would think the employees would have a little more class than to say that so loud people on the phone and I'm sure in close vicinity can hear. So is it frowned upon that I use your drive through after working 10 hours on my feet and don't want to walk inside in the rain because I'm exhausted? It's a little after 6 pm on 7/11 - do the math on who was working. Did I mention they never picked up the phone after 12 minutes? read more
