We always end up at this CVS when we come to Ft Lauderdale. It is walking distance to the hotels on the beach and located up a few stairs or a ramp in a shopping center, so perfect for picking up something you forgot. They have a lot of snacks, drinks, beach things including towels and chairs, suntan lotion, little gifts, and all the normal things you would find in a CVS. I wish they would have some grab and go breakfast food other than a banana. Even packaged yogurt, fruit, pastries - something small to hold you over until you get on a cruise ship for lunch. No trip to Ft Lauderdale is complete without a CVS bag from this store. read more

Five stars for a CVS? Yes. Why? OK, it's a faceless corporate chain, sure. But the staffers were friendly, funny, helpful, and courteous. (Pamela assisted me. A great employee!) Huge selection of usual CVS stuff, but also loads of beach gear. Best price I've seen for sunblock and a vast selection, too. Now, for the kicker...they still carry newspapers. The cult of newspaper readers, among which I count myself, convene at 8am and await the "drop off." Snow birds, hotel dwellers, passersby...they get their newsprint fix. For those people enjoying the beach, this CVS is a great one-stop shop for many items. Anyone can get candies, snacks, drinks, sunscreen, over the counter products, etc. I went in with a few ExtraBuck and got some candy for the condo...sometimes I like to have something sweet after a meal. Honest review- Came to Florida on vacation and had to stop here in a Thursday night. When checking out in the only register which was a self service 4 of the employees standing together, huddled up were laughing at me everytime I bent down, there was 1 girl saying "this is hilarious" while all the other girls laughed. This went on for about 3-4 minutes then I needed help checking out bigger items (big beach stuff) and 1 of the laughing ladies actually did come up to me and help and was nice. They all were 2 feet behind me watching my every move and laughing, talking so much crap about me and my little kid was with me too. It really felt they were kind of racist against white WOMEN and felt entitled to treat a customer like that. It was beyond a bad experience and they're in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, They've should have know better. I'm disgusted in their behavior - it's not acceptable!! read more

Date of visit: 1/12/24 We needed a few little things while in the area and stumbled upon this small CVS, but it had much of what we needed. Unfortunately the options for some items were a little limited due to this being a smaller store but again, it had what we needed. The store is in a multi-level plaza that includes ice cream, restaurants, and even an Escape Room! The store was surprisingly clean--I feel like most CVS outlets I've encountered as of late are pretty shabby and the overall look of the store was a pleasant surprise! You could do worse for some of your essentials while in the area than this CVS. read more

I've shopped here many times over the years, and have always had positive experiences. They're conveniently located right next to both the beach and a lot of bars, so it's really easy to stop in and get sunscreen/water/snacks. 1st off I have been to hundreds of these stores and I never felt the need to write a review. However, on a recent vacation to Fort Lauderdale I have visited this location several times. I was always greeted by management or someone in the retail floor asking if I need assistance. The store was very neat and it had everything I needed. In town on vacation and needed to grab a frw things. Lay out of the store is simple enough. Was able to move about without much issue. However, when it is time to checkout, there are self-checkout kiosks and I am okay with that. Its the "cashier " or "manager" that is hovering over me as I checkout my items that bothers me. Huge CVS right in the heart of the beach/tourist district. They are open 24 hours and have everything you need: all the usual stuff plus a large wine section and beer/hard seltzer fridge. Lots of specialty items for the beach, as well. Nancy (manager?) is amazing, and by far the most helpful and courteous CVS employee I have ever met. She was going out her way to make sure all the customers were getting what they need. She deserves an award from the company! As it's right near the beach, a better book selection would be good -- I think they only had two books in the book section, which is less than a regular CVS. read more

I've never reviewed a drugstore in my life, but this CVS is more than a drugstore. If you are staying anywhere near this area, it's a godsend. Vacation gets expensive, especially in Ft. Lauderdale and sometimes you've blown money all week and just need to go back to the room with a bottle of wine and some stoner junkfood. Enter CVS. Scratch that, enter the 24-hour, largest CVS I've probably ever been to outside of Vegas. And they have everything. Beach stuff including swimsuits that you forgot to back (ahem), all the toiletries you forgot to pack, and some decent wines and snacks! Seriously, we would have been so screwed without this place. Also, on the 5-7 times we were in this place, all the employees were at least pretending to be happy, even the dudes that were likely working the nightshift. I guess it probably helps having an on-site security guy that can help with drunks, and having the beautiful beach across the street isn't too bad either. I don't put any blame on someone who's not having a great time working at a CVS, but it was nice to be able to joke around with the people working here. My only complaint is that I wish they didn't use plastic bags, but that's not really a CVS issue, that's more a, we were too forgetful to bring a bag with us, issue. Second: get your snacks and whatever toiletries you did not pack in your suitcase that the hotel doesn't have for free here. CVS has everything - in travel and regular sizes! I think this may be my favorite CVS in the whole world. Located downstairs from my hotel and across the street from the beach. This location has everything you might need when your on vacation. Beach essentials, sunblock, cover ups, hats, and so much more. But we came here for the dining essentials. Cereal, milk, prepared sandwiches, snacks, brownie brittle, and wine. I think we browsed the aisles of this CVS for an hour. The lines tend to grow very quickly. If you see an opening, get on it. If you wait to ling, magically there will be 4-6 people ahead of you. But they at least get other cashiers to open to expedite the line. read more

For being at the beach, I love this CVS. I also equate any place touristy to be subpar in both goods and services. This place literally has everything. I'm surprised I didn't find someone I had gone to high school with inside of here. It's crazy. If you're a browser like I am, you literally could get sucked into here for hours perusing all of the aisles aimlessly. This place has everything for tourists like: beach towels, beer, snacks, sun tan lotion. And of course it has everything else your standard CVS has to offer. My thoughts for tourist or locals: look for a beach chair here. Why spend $20 on a chair you have to give back when you can spend less on one you can keep? I always load up on snacks before hitting the sand. I can't catch those rays on an empty stomach. The lines move quickly so you'll be in and out and enjoying the beautiful beaches of Ft. While I share the sentiments of the posters below, and that I don't see many people reading Yelp reviews before they walk into a CVS, I have to agree that this CVS is just AWESOME! In an area where most of the food is overpriced crap, it was nice to march in here and buy a couple boxes of cereal, bowls, silverware, milk, bread, turkey, cheese etc etc....breakfast, lunch and snacks taken care of (instead of spending alot at the hotels)... I also ran back to my trusty CVS to get NASCAR brand sunglasses...I have no idea what that means, but from what I hear NASCAR kinda has an influence down south...I wish the sunglasses had a #3 sticker on them, but for $15 I guess I can't complain too much... Why do I not give such a wonderful place 5 stars? oh, cuz they ripped me off and put a ghost charge of $5.00 on my bill...bastards....i would have expected that if I ordered room service at my hotel where they have a delivery charge, convenience charge, gratuity, service charge, and then line for a tip when you receive it....but not at CVS...very disappointing and costs you a full star! just be thankful you had some NASCAR sunglasses or you would be down to three stars... read more

Horrible service. I had a prescription sent to the CVS at Lauderdale by the Sea this was the result: Pharmacy closes early so waited til next day to ask when ready. Recording said out of stock for 10 days. When I tried to connect to a person from the auto- system, it hung up after it said transfer. I called back twice and twice had to go thru the long menu to request a person. Twice I waited on hold listening to the long ad about vaccines available. Twice after 4-7 minutes of being on hold, the call was hung up or dropped. I never was able to talk to anyone about transferring my prescription to a different CVS since this was never answered. Avoid at all cost because literally, your life might depend on getting a frikin person to answer. read more

Now this is a CVS. Located downstairs in the Beach Place towers, and has everything you'd need from a CVS a more. Well that is unless you are looking for cigarettes or tobacco products since CVS no longer sells those items. I was able to get eggs cheese juice and bread to whip up a quick breakfast to go along with some items when had left over from Hooters the previous night. The pricing for those items were a little costly but overall, its in the middle of the hotel district and right across the street from a beach, so you sort of expect a dozen eggs to be $3.29 and the 12 cheese slices to be right at $4. There were also beach chairs, and all the sun tan lotion you could ever use. Also some sun hats and beach shoes. Those items were reasonably priced. I found these little Seagram coolers that I wanted to buy to bring back to Atlanta with me since I have never seen them here in Atlanta, but when I went to grab them on Sunday there was a sign up that they didn't sell alcohol before 11am on Sunday and it was right at 10am. The staff was always smiling and the lines move really quickly. Great spot and redeems the CVS chain in ways you could never imagine in my world. This cvs is ur clean average cvs in such a convenient location. The downfall? This employee. Just landed in Fort Lauderdale and walked the strip for a drink and necessities run before bed. Whole in cvs my boyfriend asks a man in a blue shirt and hoodie by the front checkout if he worked there before asking him questions about product location. The employee immediately was extremely rude yelling that my boyfriend was ignorant for asking if he worked there. He was argumentative the entire time we tried to just checkout and leave, yelling at my boyfriend to get out while trying to be polite to me at the same time? He then followed us outside yelling at my now frustrated boyfriend to "fight him in the cameras view." And getting in my face telling him to leave with his b***h. While leaving this photo was taken to ensure recognition of his actions and threats. We left and the following morning informed the staff. Could not believe the behavior of an employee at an establishment while on the clock. read more

And when I put a mask (some kinds stranger gave me one) on they wouldn't give me cash back because I refused to buy THEIR mask.
