I live a few blocks away from here and this is a tired and old Walgreens in the middle of extreme wealth. This is one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in South Florida. But this is a dump and it should be nicer. I've lived here for 12 months. I stop in frequently and this employees car is ALWAYS here. Always. Applause for holding down a job and working a lot but you're clearly young. In business, employees park as far away from the front door as possible. You have a huge parking lot but insist on parking in a prime space. This is where paying customers are supposed to park but the stores management is clearly okay with this and that says a lot. Why do I care? This is where Karen is justified. When I was in college I worked in stores and restaurants. I can't recall one business that allowed an employee to park anywhere convenient. Why would they? Prime spaces are for customers. So here we are. The staff feel entitled to park wherever they want. Not just here. Almost everywhere. It's the wrong way to conduct business. It's not how it used to work. And some wonder why many of us are very very supportive about strict immigration laws. So oblivious. read more

This Walgreens has a great location on 17th street, so if you are coming or going to the airport or the port, this is probably one of the most convenient places to grab some over the counter items, vitamins, snacks, paper goods, beach supplies, sunblock, etc. When I walked in, I liked the nice bright look of the store, I was looking for some paper goods and they had a good supply of the things I was searching. Clean and organized Walgreens near Port Everglades that is definitely stocking the Fort Lauderdale beach essentials. Towels, beach toys, swim suits, sun protection creams and such. Everything you would need if you've gotten yourself here but forgot to bring along to have fun on the beach. They had all I needed and on top of that, an ATM in my network so I could get some cash. Terrible people working there. The cashier told me to take out all my products out of the small basket that I placed on the counter and then once I was done paying told me (she didn't ask she told me) to take the basket back to the front. No one was in the line I would've understood if there was but I've never had a cashier tell me to do her job. Plus she was rude and dry during the whole transaction. I am a very dedicated shopper to Walgreens and choose to come here instead of other drug stores, but I will never come to this store again. Horrible customer service. read more

Shelves are empty... like they just had Covid or a natural disaster. Went in for burn cream and they didn't even have anything I could use, nothing, not even bandages. The pharmacy tech was helpful and came out to help me look (why it's 2 stars and not 1) she did have to say I'm sorry looks like we don't have any. It wasn't just this section... all isles we're pretty sparse for any type of selection. :( had to Uber to the one on Federal st... much better option 5 min away. read more

While passing through the area we decided to stop by this location to quickly grab some forgotten items. While visiting this Walgreens, we noticed the organization of the store but there was a long line, which was handled pretty quickly. Unfortunately, the lady assisting customers to checkout (in cosmetics) was clearly not feeling and trying her best not to cough. Then she's a customer away from us and you can clearly hear she's congested and struggling. A few times, she even grasp for air and then sigh. She continued to repeat copy into her radio device- not sure why. However, this is a huge concern during such a pandemic with so many unknowns. Fortunately, one of the knowns include if you're not feeling well stay HOME. Otherwise, the store seems organized but the guy at checkout seem to not be certain of his next steps in checkout and the helpful ill lady should have definitely been home caring for her self. I went to my first Walgreens in 2001 when I moved to West Palm Beach Florida. Now there are many Walgreens in Hawaii and of course all over Florida. What I like best is their convenience. They are everywhere! Some Walgreens are better stocked than others but this one certainly had a great selection of Florida is essentials such as beachwear, sunscreen, accessories like slippers and water noodles, and many other things that Floridians and visitors need. The best part was that I knew wanted some souvenirs to take home. I knew Florida was famous for taffy I stopped in to CVS first but they didn't have anything but the selection at Walgreens was excellent. Bags of taffy and gift boxes were in abundance. Walgreens is definitely the place for one stop fast shopping. Strongly recommended! read more

July 22, 2024 around 11:15-20AM Today I visit this Walgreens, because I needed some passport pictures. The guy who came to take the passport picture he was not wearing his name tag, tall white dude. When he first take my pictures, I asked him if I can see the pictures before he printed it out. He proceeded to tell me that I didn't need to see because it was perfect. it never sat well with me so I kept asking him to see the pictures. Finally, he made me see the picture. One of my shoulders was higher than the other continuously. Keep telling him that the picture is not right. I called my mom on FaceTime to show her the picture. She agreed and said I needed to take it over. I turned into a customer in the store. He agreed and said I needed to take it over. This man had a whole attitude snatch the picture back then he proceeded to say "I can go somewhere else to take the picture if I don't like it." When he realize that I am now pissed off he started to act like he was the nicest person ever. He was very disrespectful including the cashier. I will never step foot back again into this Walgreens. This is horrible customer service. read more

I'm going Four Stars on this Walgreens. Not that I'm a fan of it or that it is anything special. If you've seen one Walgreens you've pretty much seen them all. But this one, by comparison to the others, has a wider range of inventory, in stock items, and the clerks and attendants seem more pleasant, actually knowing where various items are located and willing to take their time in order to lead you to them. What brought me here was that, being a ponytail sporting longhair, I was in need of some clear colored elastic ponytail hairbands. I had stopped at several beauty stores as well as three other Walgreen locations which didn't carry them. They had plenty of hairbands, but all in varying rainbow colors. With me being rainbowie enough I really didn't need the added pinks, lavenders or neon green colors added in on my hair. Finally at the last of the three Walgreens I had stopped at, the clerk told me to stop here because it is at this location she does here Walgreen shopping, and after stopping here I can see why. Not only did I find my clear color elastic hair bands but took note that this location has far more in stock than do other Walgreen locations. Being located near the beach and within close proximity to the cruise ships of Port Everglades, it's the location for travelers and tourists to pick up sun tan lotion, souvenir shirts, towels and those things they forgot to pack at home. read more

The pharmacy service is horrible. I would highly recommend you use Publix on Cordova. I moved all my services to Publix.

I jog across the bridge from my home 5 days a week and usually pop in a few times. The service changes like the wind, I sometimes feel I am bothering the cashier as she is always busy texting. On Sunday the flyer comes out and 50% of their specials are never to be found even on the first day. Sorry maybe later in the week as later never comes. The store is clean and bright and its at the entrance to Port Everglades so its great to pick up a snack or to get something fast before your cruise. Sorry I'm busy texting now read more

My husband I stayed at the hotel cross from Walgreens for our pre-cruise trip one night and it's nice to buy several things (such as water bottles, soda, snacks, shampoo, etc) for our cruise trip! Staff were OK, could use some improvements. The prices were slightly higher than here in Missouri but we didn't buy more than 2-3 things. read more

I visited this store for the first time March 2014 while waiting to embark on a cruise ship. We found a few things that we needed fairly easily and was helped by a salesperson when an item wasn't easily located. It was novel for us to see that special prices were only available for card holders. Because we are not from the States we did not have a card. The cashier gave us the discount with a smile. We were very grateful. I have since applied for a card and will use it when we return this March and at other Walgreens when we are in the States.
