Went to this location because the one inside of The Galleria does not have the Tom Ford fragrances on display for testing. Luckily, this one does. Since I'm looking for a new perfume I wanted to sample before investing in one, especially due to the cost. When I asked the girls at the door where the perfumes were they pointed to the back left corner and I thought one would either follow or join me to see if I needed any further assistance. I went to do research on face products for my sister...she wanted to get something that would help exfoliate and brighten the complexion. Was not welcome when I walked in. They were three employees hanging around a rack of makeup. I walked thru. Busy place. One girl approached me helped half heartedly told me she was to leave at 3 o'clock I was like 2:48pm. So cool I return to Ft. Lauderdale to taking Pure Barre classes and what is in the shopping plaza Sephora. That's great and it's open too! I was in Aventura Mall after Christmas and the store there was closed than. Perhaps they are all open now. I can understand safety because of Covid but nothing replaces instant gratification of going to a live store with sales associates you can talk to. The name of the location is River Market according to my receipt. So yesterday after class I thought I would pick up a lip gloss. I entered the store and was greeted by an associate. She was extremely helpful and walked me right over to what I was looking for. Than I went to the check out towards the back to finish the transaction. Well knock me over in surprise when they open a second register for me to check out. Note there was only one person ahead of me. The cashier could not find my account by phone number it was under my email. So your question now why not a perfect 5 review? Hey I was in retail many years and I feel the associate helping me should have not settled showing me the "Sephora" brand which was very inexpensive. She should have asked what brands I currently use. If she did she would have made a bigger ticket sale $$$ or perhaps that doesn't matter. The unprofessionalism of Jeselle and Nicole, who are managers here at this River Market store in fort, Lauderdale. Sephora policy on returns, if you have your receipt, you get your money back not a store credit. I made a purchase with my PayPal account. Which my Visa card is attached to it? I am a loyal customer and I have made returns the same way but why is this time different this time? I came in to return an item in Jeselle with her unprofessionalism as a manager stated to me that she will not return my item for my cash back with my receipt, but only to give me a store. I told her I did not understand I have done this many times before when I made purchases with my PayPal account. She said Sephora receive red flags when she overrides the system. I stated, I don't understand why would Sephora accept a payment and can't give a refund on that payment with the receipt only store credit. She said she will allow the return this time but she will not do it next time and told me I need to use another form of payment when I purchase anything from Sephora. Huh?? The sale associate finish my transaction, returning my item. On my way out of the store, Jeselle stopped me in the middle of the aisle, we will not return your items if you come back again with my method of payment. Why are we discussing this in the middle of the aisle when you already told me this at the register. Again, why would Sephora accept a payment method but not honor that same method to return with a receipt, but only offer you a store credit.? I asked to speak to someone over Jeselle. Nicole store manager, the same unprofessionalism Jeselle gave me, she gave. This was so embarrassing to be confronted in a crowded store telling me that they would not accept my return if I come back to return with the same method of payment. The question is, is it really the method of payment or something Racial!!!! I've been coming to this store for years. Sephora you need to do better by the managers you hire. Love Sephora and buy a lot there, but the last few times I've shopped at this location, the employees were too busy to talk to each other .. so when I had a question where to find a certain brand and product, they responded as if they don't want to be bother, bad attitude! The opposite of Miami Beach location, where people are there to help you choosing products and the make up you need to buy.. this location is no good! This girl from Venezuela behind the register was the worst, she's not listening to you at all, totally ignored me and totally unresponsive as if I was a ghost and couldn't see me. I usually buy my make up products online because it's easier and i save tons of time and money but I needed to get a moisturizer and change my eye shadow's palette. I was helped by an African American young lady, she was so sweet and kind. It actually felt like going shopping with my best friend. She had a lot of patience and showed me a couple of products. I got some make up products but so far my favorites are The Too face hangover with coconut (moisturizer) and the eye liner from KVD tattoo, they are fantastic and Both products were recommended by the sales associate. Shout out to her phenomenal service. The manager also came to check on us and suggested that if there was anything in particular I couldn't find in the store they could order it for me. Everyone was super friendly and hospitable. I found all the items and products I was looking plus absolutely fantastic service. Lots of perks if you visit the store too! read more

I came to the Sephora recently to buy a couple gifts for a friend of mine. I don't typically go to Sephora all that often, but since coming to this location I find myself come into Sephora's More often. Sephora is a little overwhelming at first when you don't necessarily know what you're looking for. There seems to be things kind of placed everywhere in this store. But once you get the hang of it at all sort of makes sense. They have a wide selection of fragrances, skin care, lotions, make up and hair supplies. What I appreciate about Sephora is that they also cater to men as well as women which is some thing at first I didn't know about. Another thing that is great about this location is their customer service. Their associates are quick to help you sometimes they can be a little overzealous but I guess a little customer service never hurt anyone right? Things in Sephora aren't necessarily the cheapest but I do believe that you get what you pay for I didn't make sue to sign up for their vip Program that gives you points when you make purchases and also gives you a gift during the month of your birthday. Everyone I've ever dealt with at this location has been more than friendly more than helpful and done so much more than I needed to in that visit. I am a fan. read more

My favorite store to shop relaxed. I like that the employees let me browse at my own pace, without hovering, but there's always someone around in case I need help with something. Only complaint is that I wish they had more stock on hand, as many of the items I wanted were sold out. read more

If you need to go to Sephora in the Fort Lauderdale area, do yourself a favor and make the trek to the Galleria. I was so excited to have a Sephora open up closer to my house to avoid the hassle of parking at the mall, going upstairs, etc. I had a not so great experience my first time going when they first opened. My mom and I asked about several products, and the woman was unsure of her answers and ultimately, not able to help us. I gave the store the benefit of the doubt since it had just opened. However, after my recent visit today, I am confident that I will never return. Whenever I walk into a Sephora, I always feel welcomed. I am always greeted and feel that associates are willing to assist me. When I walked up to the counter today, the woman simply said, "Yes?" I wanted to return something I got as a gift with no receipt, and she told me they couldn't accept. That's fine - I understand store policy is store policy. It was her attitude that absolutely turned me off. The situation simply could have been handled better than it was. If you want assistance and interaction with associates who will give you the customer service you deserve, do yourself a favor and visit the Galleria location! *Two stars for a convenient, beautiful location and a sparkling clean store...that's about all you'll get here. I love this store in the neighborhood but one of the associates is rude af. Moment we walk in the door she's defensive as opposed to being inquiring and wanting to educate her customers, she instead snaps at them . She is white, very tall,and with pink colored hair . I was so disturbed by her treatment to me I couldn't shop and just left. While leaving she was playing on her phone right at the door where she's SUPPOSED to be warm greeting customers. I accidentally discovered there was a Sephora in this location when I was coming to another local business. I walked in looking for one particular item and the friendly associate asked me for my email address to enter me into a contest. I won a $100 gift card right there on the spot and basically got to shop for free. The store is a pretty decent size and has a large selection of cosmetics, hair care, skin care etc. I Wish the fragrance section at Sephora was as big as it used to be however I was able to fill my shopping basket with some lovely finds and picked some new items that I got to try out for the first time. The sales associates were very helpful when I was asking about a specific hair product. They help me pick out the right one and it did not disappoint. read more

I've visited this Sephora three times and every time has been since they opened back up during Covid19. I've personally had wonderful experiences with the staff and have found them to be friendly, personable and very helpful on each visit. On one visit, I was looking for a self tanner product for my face and being that I am new to self tanners anyway, I really had no idea what brand or what exact product would be right for me. The employees that happened to be working on my particular visit that day were African American so one girl went out of her way and googled a bunch of information on one particular product in general for me to get the reviews. Obviously, not every employee is going to be familiar with every product on the shelves. But the fact that she was as helpful as she was made me super happy! The only thing I don't totally understand is why they don't give out free samples of product anymore. I understand that they can't have them on the shelves for customers to possibly touch but why not keep the items in the back or in a drawer for the employees to still give the free samples out? I live in Fort Lauderdale and every time I come to this location, I never feel welcomed, everyone is extremely rude or they will laugh in your face if you ask questions, it's happen numerous times. I've had services here as well and the girls are always not happy to assist you or make me feel unwelcomed. Today I went in to pick up my order and one of the girls was just laughing at my last name and it was so uncomfortable and inappropriate. It's so sad.
