I don't use the pharmacy, only the front end, but everyone here is great. The staff are all very nice and very accommodating. They're helpful, which is nice to see. If it's busy I will hop over to the self-checkouts in the back. They do run out of the sale items pretty quickly because this is a busy store. I use this CVS rather than the one near my house because there's always personnel in this store. The one in my city never has anyone at the registers. read more

I came in today to print pictures of my cousin that is going to college in the next week. I came to this exact location at 3 PM. There was a long line, so I had to end up waiting to print my pictures. It then took 40 minutes for my pictures to download onto the computer, and then the entire request timed out on me.! decided to go home. Then, at 6:30 PM 1| decided to go back to the very same CVS. I sat there and reminisced about memories with my cousin as I cried in the CVS. I then got my ticket, and went shopping around the store to get tape and a card. I returned back to the photo kiosk, and my photos were not there. I had asked the woman working next to the kiosk when my photos will be done, and she said to check back in 10 minutes. I came back around 15 minutes later, and still no photos. I decided to ask somebody else that was walking around the store. She took my ticket from me and looked through the orders. It did not say my order was there. She told me that she didn't know what to do. Then, a man that was also working there comes over. He decides to check the printer from where my photos should have been coming out, and he realizes that there was no paper. At this point, I had spent around 40 minutes waiting for my photos to print. He then refills the paper, and I had asked him when my photos would be ready because I was waiting for about an hour at this point. He was then very rude with his interaction towards me, he did not apologize for how long I have been waiting, he had just simply said, "I don't know hopefully 10 minutes." I was shocked. I did not anticipate that this rude behavior would be used towards me, as I have been waiting in the store for an hour. He goes to the computer in which I attempted to print my pictures on, ano I see all of the pictures in the computer. The man then tells me that my pictures were not there, and that he was unable to print them out, as I was standing there, watching him look at all of my photos. I am absolutely disgusted with the way I was treated by this man. After, all I wanted was a Reese's Fast Break Bar. They did not have them. I was very upset, and hungry. I am very unhappy with my experience, I come to this CVS location, quite often, and I don't think I will be returning back for a while. I came home with no pictures, and wasted about 2 hours of my day. Not a sorry or anything. read more

As of today, I have to acknowledge that I was heard when I shared a disappointment with one of the staff members regarding a coupon that I got yesterday because I bought a few products. I was about to buy two Prevagent and Alegra D to use the coupon today. Nevertheless, asking to use the coupon and get Alegra D needed to be understood. I was told by the pharmacy that they do not use a coupon for two different things, so what happened? Another situation here is that they moved Prevagent to the Front desk as a control medication, and I was in limbo waiting to get the product, been looking at, etc. After all, thank you for listening and your effort to allow the clients to feel understood and not misunderstood in their intentions. From the minute I walked into this location the staff was very welcoming. They were offering help and if needed guidance within the store. The Staff from the Hub area saw me looking at items in an aisle and came to me and asked if I had any questions and/or needed help with anything. He sincerely cared to help. It looks like the horrid Fair Lawn CVS or some sorry employee is writing their own reviews, since they all say about the same thing. When we had to call for an emergency Rx for a cancer drug, the late-night pharmacist couldn't have been nastier. The pharmacist was unprofessional, continued to cut me off and talk over me when I tried to explain the patient's special needs, tell me how busy the store allegedly was at 1am, and even complain that she was busy giving Covid vaccines all-night long (Really? In Shop-Rite, they can't give them away!). Adding to the vile experience, the pharmacist said that she was not sure she could even have the Rx's ready by 10 the next morning -- despite the medicine being in stock! Heck, then why be an allegedly 24-hour pharmacy? If you want to be treated like garbage and spoken to with disrespect, CVS in Fair Lawn is the place to go. I have been coming to this store for around 20 years. It's gotten laughably bad in the past couple of years. Every time I try to drop off a prescription it's a comically long wait, sometimes an hour. Pickup lines are better, but still long. Closing the pharmacy for a half hour mid day is absurd. Not happy with the pharmacist on duty. I was in earlier and asked the front to ask him a question about a prescription. He was literally 5 feet away and heard a generic response to be relayed through the cashier that he couldn't even make eye contact and say it to myself. I tried to get his attention, but he shuffled away. I decided not to take the prescription. I did take the other pills that were prescribed. At home, I read the warnings and decided not to take the medicine. So I returned to see about a refund (one hour later!!) This time he was at the counter and didn't even consider it. Same customer, same response...mumbled some "policy" couldn't even be bothered to talk to me. I made a pharmacy change not to long ago, but if this pharmacist is so unhappy to directly deal with customers, why should I be a customer?? I needed help with a rash today, I couldn't even imagine him helping people with more serious things. I have been going to this CVS for probably two years, but I just can't anymore. It's a preponderance of things. Their pharmacy is always putting me through a ringer to try to get stuff done: they "forget" to call me when prescriptions are ready, they don't fill stuff (that's supposed to be on automatic refill) when it's due, they aren't helpful if there's a problem with my prescriptions, etc. They'll tell me to I have to call my doc, then she calls them and they tell her everything's OK, then I go there to pick it up and suddenly there's a problem. Rinse and repeat. My doc has repeatedly said they are the most difficult pharmacy she's ever had to work with. I don't buy most of the five-star reviews here, either. Be wary. The CVS itself isn't bad at all, but the pharmacy sucks. One of the pharmacists is dreamy, though! If that's enough for you, this CVS pharmacy is your place; just ask for blue eyes. read more

First off, I want to say it's great this place is 24 hours. I also want to say the employees in the front part of the store, especially Paula and Marteen, are very nice and go above and beyond to be friendly and helpful. Why the two star review? The pharmacy. The lines go on forever. I had an incident tonight that had me fuming. Earlier in the day, I had a doctor's appointment. My doctor switched my medication. I saw my doctor submit the new prescription to cvs electronically. She also called the pharmacy to confirm they had it and that it would be ready. They said yes. So about six hours after the appointment, I go to the pharmacy. Guess what? After waiting in a ridiculously long line, they don't have my prescription. I ask to speak to the pharmacist. He says nope, they don't have it, I'll have to call my doctor. My doctor's office was already closed, so I have to hope I'll be able to get it fixed tomorrow. Why on earth would you tell a doctor they would have their patient's prescription ready and then don't?! I wish I could rate this place higher, but I can't. The store portion of this CVS is pretty good - they carry everything I've ever looked for and have a decent variety. The employees have been helpful whenever I've interacted with them - whether cashiers, people walking around, photo help, or pharmacists. LOVE that the pharmacy is open 24/7. The individuals I've spoken with there have been knowledgeable as well. I have to take off one star though as it seems to take a long time to fill prescriptions that aren't in stock - much longer than it should take. They do have common medications in stock, but they're frequently lacking less common meds. I've had to wait up to a week for prescriptions to come in, which has not been my experience at other CVS locations. Knowing this I place these refill requests as soon as my insurance will allow, which has always resulted in my getting my prescriptions with time to spare. read more

My husband was discharged from a hospital on a Sunday evening with two prescriptions for antibiotics. All area pharmacies were closed. A google search revealed their pharmacy is open 24/7. When I arrived, the lines were so long and I was worried it was going to take hours. The young lady at the drop off was very efficient and let me know my name would be called when it was ready. She moved all the drop off customers very quickly. Within 20 minutes the pharmacist had filled the prescriptions. My name was called while I was on the pick up line. All in all I'd say it only took about a half hour in total. The young lady at the pick up counter was also very good. I was so impressed but the CVS staff including the pharmacist and the clerks. Gonna start off by saying that the prices are very high. The waiting line to purchase is extremely long. But when I ordered my prescription medication over the phone they were punctual in giving it to me on time when I arrived. In addition, the staff is inefficient, lacks customer service skills, is super slow, inattentive, rude and dismissive. Really wish I could give them 0 stars. The people in the pharmacy are great! However the people in the general section need some training on customer service! About two weeks ago I went and paid my Verizon fios bill at this location. ( on my Verizon bill there is a baracode and above this it says pay at any cvs or 711 location.) I've been paying my bill at 711 and never had any issues. Anyway, got a cal from Verizon saying the money never hit my account. The company told me to go to the store at which I paid. Ok fine. This manager decided to put his hand up to my mothers face and say he had no time for her. I was so pissed I couldn't even get his name. Threatening to call the cops and have us arrested. He claims he has no idea where the money went. HOW DO YOU NOT REALIZE YOUR REGISTER IS 200 DOLLARS OVER???? And I paid in ALL SINGLES(I'm a waitress) HOW DO YOU NOT ACCOUNT FOR 200 SINGLES?!? AND I HAVE THE RECEIPT AND A PICTURE OF THE CASHIER!! Called corporate and got a very nice woman. She credited me my money back and was placing a call to that stores district manager! It has taken me time to decide just what I wanted to write and to make sure that my thoughts were clear with examples of why the poor rating. First of all, there is no question that this is a busy pharmacy. I would love to see another major pharmacy open up in Radburn, perhaps right across the street where the dollar store is (not that I don't like the dollar store, or it's people.) The prices here are significantly higher at CVS than other pharmacies. Well, since that is a huge claim to make - let me give examples. One of my precriptions, Terbenafine was 79.91 for a 30 day supply. Insurance paid for 3 months of it, but if I wanted an extra month, the cost would be mine. Should I, shouldn't I. Well, I decided to get it and pay the 79.81, to find out two days later, hold on to your hat, the same prescription is 4 dollars, yes 4 dollars at WALMART. Well, if that were the only such example, then we could call it a fluke. But, in December when I had an upper respiratory infection - whatever was going around, I coughed so hard I broke 3 ribs. Off to Valley Hospital at 2 am, then to CVS at 4 am with a prescription for Promethazine DM Syrup with codeine in it. Price at CVS, I mean it's 4 in the morning, and I need it - 27.81. The refill was 28.84. So, 56.65 for the 2 prescriptions. AND THEN TO FIND, at WALMART for the one prescription - 4 dollars. SO 8 DOLLARS TOTAL. There were several other examples equally as startling but I mention those first. I believe that this CVS - which has a significant volume deserves credit for putting out the number of prescriptions that they do. Certainly, you can tell that the staff there works very hard. Most notable is a new employee MAX, who was an intern, now hired, who is probably one of the most patient, decent, helpful and supportive professionals I have seen since forever. And now here it comes. Carol, who is the Manager of this pharmacy is the most rude, arrogant, obnoxious, condescending, dismissive, kurt, add rude again employees I have seen in my lifetime. Sure, she manages a place that has a high volume, and CVS should give her credit for that. But, it is HOW she manages and interaction with customers AND EMPLOYEES that speaks to how poorly managed this location really has become. YES, It' nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice. And she will walk away from you when you have a question, even though you aren't finished asking what you would like to ask, because, well, she is done. Her body language reeks of "listen, I don't have time for you, and if I did, I just gave you 25 seconds of my time." She will yell across the back to you, with no patient respect or confidentiality, and she then pretends she was't talking to you - (she points to her headset) even though she had't talked for 2 minutes before, or a minute after. As my grandmother would say, "only a real fool, thinks that everyone else is a fool." When I asked for the Regional Directors phone number, she said she didn't have it, and walked away. You mean you don't know who your boss is? Highly unlikely. But, she is allowed to get away with the because of the volume of the store. SHAME on CVS that they have come to this. By the way, 3 of the employees behind the counter gave me the name and phone number of her boss, 2 of them with a wink, because obviously her attitude also transcends to her employees as well. I told her at first, I guaranteed I would be leaving the store with the number of her boss. She shrugged her shoulders, and laughed. Being behaviorally specific, with examples, please interpret that for yourself, I am trying to keep this review with only facts, not opinions. I did in fact, find the name and phone number of her supervisor and was able to speak with him. He gave me the usual speech about how surprised he was and how he is sure that there must be a misunderstanding. I told him I didn't appreciate being berated in front of other people in the store, being walked away from when I was still asking questions, and treated disrespectfully. He said he would call me back during the next week, that he was busy, but he would call. HE NEVER DID. So, where does Carol get her support to continue this behavior? I suppose from her District Manager who works out of Union County, because he is too far to really get involved, it's extra work for him to care much, and the store does a large volume. THIS IS WHAT CVS on FAIR LAWN AVE IN FAIR LAWN has become. At the moment, I am not able to locate the name and phone number of her District Manager, I try to make sure all my reviews have detailed information, but I will be sure to locate and add it in the next day or so. I guess CVS as a large corporate entity has gotten to the point where they feel they are doing their customers a favor, so that any bad, rude behavior on the part of their Managers is just part of doing business. I have been going to this cvs for years considering that I live 5 mins away and go here 2-3 times a week to buy snacks. I decided I would go on Christmas eve to get last-minute stocking stuffers. I went with my best-friend; us being young Hispanic females, one of the only people of color in this CVS at the moment. We were in the makeup aisle looking for makeup to buy and we were clearly being followed around. Nothing worse than a place with ignorant employees felt completely disrespected and stereotyped. We were doing nothing wrong other than looking and purchasing with actual money; surprise! Considering that we usually only buy luxury makeup I just don't think either of us needs to steal 8 dollar makeup!!!!! but thank you for the concern! read more

I used to go to CVS in my home town. Haven't since going here. Michelle does a fantastic job heading up the pharmacy. Max is the nicest dude and extremely helpful. The entire pharmacy staff is fantastic. I drop off a prescription and wait all the time. They tell me 15-20 minute wait and sometimes my phone goes off letting me know my prescription is ready in five minutes. They are knowledgeable and actually seem to care about their customers. I recommend this pharmacy over any other in the area. I have no problem making the 15 min drive there. They are all fantastic. read more

I was walking in and out to grab a notebook not a Mother's Day Card, because I get actually gifts for my mother. First JARED approached and ask if I needed help finding anything? Which I did and he was more than helpful. While going to the next aisle to leave up comes Lakshmi asking "do you need help with anything?" Customer service like this isn't found anywhere these days, from great restaurants to other business where tips are made. You never see it especially at CVS's because the workers don't make extra to help customers. I highly recommend this place, been going here for years and it will continue.
