This is a great store with prices that are often significantly lower than cvs or Walgreens, especially for prescriptions and some of the behind the counter nasal decongestants. After trying cvs because it was next to my doctor's office for a prescription, I waited 15 mins in line to then be told this is out of stock and will need to be ordered. I asked them it transfer it to Jones and what a surprise, they had it and I picked it up 5 mins later on the way home. Don't think that the big guys are cheaper with bigger selection, it just isn't true. Jones is the type of place I hope never disappears, it's a community icon and I love supporting it.

Their reply was that they were closed and could not help. Today, I spent 24 minutes again on hold before getting a person to confirm that my prescription was placed and being filled. The tech let us know that the script "would be ready in an hour or so". Of course when I got there, after waiting 15 minutes for 2 people ahead of me to be the tech informed me that they did not have my prescription and I would have to go to commack to fill it. They would not be able to contact that Walgreens and I would have to. I went across the street to CVS to pay out of network for the prescription instead and Walgreens could not successfully transfer the prescription to the CVS pharmacist after over an hour on the phone with them. I am going to call corporate tomorrow and put in a formal complaint with the BBB after this terrible experience. Walgreens should be ASHAMED with their customer service and I would not recommend anyone go to this pharmacy.

They're all generally the same and have very similar products/services. Though, I have to say that this newly renovated CVS is still the best out of the bunch regardless. At store level, this location is brand new, always well stocked with its products, the staff are always friendly, the store layout is organized and provides plenty of room for its customers to browse/shop, and the actual pharmacy is quick and open later than most in the area. At a company level, CVS has tons of sales/discounts on many store/name brand products; Way more than any other competitor by far. Let's not also forget their "Coupon Center" and their amazing "ExtraCare Rewards" program, that offers its members "ExtraBucks" to use on anything you purchase. If you ask someone to help you with checkout, they will lead you back to the self-checkout machine . There is no escape. This is not bad enough, so these machines are programmed to think that the customer is trying to rob them. This adds a layer of hostility to the checkout process. Oh goody. Apparently, CVS thinks this is the way to go.So they decided to add terminals to the pharmacy department. There is still an employee there so I don't really know what the purpose of these terminals are , except to aggravate customers who don't want to be part of their machine. For me this is the final straw, I have decided to take my business to a local pharmacy.

It was the day of my…read morefather's funeral and my mother was extremely sick with vertigo, (nausea, vomiting, dizziness) She could not get out of bed. We were able to get in touch with her ENT who prescribed some medication. However, try finding a pharmacy that will answer the phone and accommodate our needs immediately, not so easy. You see it was 8:00 AM and my mother needed to arrive at the funeral home before 10:30 AM. The ENT Doctor assured us if my mother could get the medication in her system it should start to work and she could be up on her feet in a couple of hours. Now I had to find a pharmacy that would contact the Doctor, fill the prescription and have it ready for me in minutes, basically impossible. So I thought. Well, Town offered the impossible. I called one hour before they opened, only expecting to leave a message. When miraculously, Alan picked up the phone. I explained the situation and received the exact response I wanted but never expected to get. "Give me the Doctors number, get here ASAP, knock on the door because the store will still be closed but I'll have everything ready for you". At 10:15 a.m. my mother was able to walk into the funeral home and say her final goodbye to my father. Thank you Town Pharmacy and Thank you Alan, A Real Life Super Hero.

How is that my wife and I had the exact opposite experience as all these people have had? Well, when the owners of said business decide to sell it two weeks after you enroll your prescriptions. So basically, you can pretty much disregard all of the reviews up until November 2025, as they were posted under Town Pharmacy's previous family-owned front. I don't know who these new guys are, but this place is as hot of a mess as it gets. Nobody currently working here seems to have any idea what they're doing. They consistently get confused. I've called three times asking to have the same two prescriptions refilled and delivered to my home. Each time, nothing was done. In one instance, someone answered and asked me to "Call my doctor to get the ball rolling" while he worked on getting my order. Uhh...isn't that what I just called YOU to do? The venerable icing on the cake was one morning when my wife called to order her insulin. She was told it would be delivered same-day. Gets a callback a little time later: "Sorry, it's too dark out. Someone will come tomorrow." It was 4pm. My wife and I were left speechless. Until, and IF, this place gets its act together, I'd avoid this pharmacy. Already, reluctantly, in the process of moving my scrips to Walgreens.

Then, used my CVS ExtraCare card and redeemed some free skittles. Got stuck on redeeming said skittles because I didn't understand how to insert the coupon and once again was assisted by the same cashier within the minute. Said cashier was kind, courteous, and patient. Whenever I come to get prescriptions or vaccinations here I can say many of the same good things as well. Overall, my favorite place to pick up photos, get my meds, and get $2 snacks at great convenience at only a couple minutes away from my home!
