I live in EB for 20+ years. This is our choice of pharmacy. Pharmacist and staff always go above and beyond in support. They simply care, everytime without a fail will ask if you have any questions about drug or how to take it. They will guide how to store, what's best time to take it etc. This time around they worked on how to save money on really high cost medicine to almost next to nothing. Pharmacist was simply amazing, very patient, guided with cost, process of coupons and at the end went above and beyond and found best way to reduce cost. This high price medicine become almost next to nothing cost. Thank you so much for being so proactive and help patients with clinical help as well as save money. read more

I visited the CVS Minute Clinic for cold/flu symptoms and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The Dr. was very thorough and took the time to listen to all my concerns. She asked detailed questions, and reviewed my symptoms carefully. The visit was quick but didn't feel rushed (I have the Flu!), a great option for convenient care when you're feeling under the weather. Would definitely return if needed! Now for the pharmacy, they said 15 minutes, I said ok Ill come back in 1/2hr came back 45 min later and still waited 15 min, too long 45 min more than promise time and looked quiet there, not good... read more

I use CVS clinic every time I'm sick with a cold, etc.. I love the nurse practitioner that's in there. They're always professional. They listen, are very efficient and you can get your script Filled right there and be on your way you make an appointment you're much better off, making an appointment then walking in there and you can get your vaccines there. It's just really great instead of having to go to a doctor's office. read more

The pharmacy area was busy and a long line of customers which was a good sign that customers liked them. However, I felt that no toilet paper available in the womens' room was shown, that the employees only cared about profit. They put any needs of customers needing the bathroom as less important to the pharmacy. Even one of the Pharmacy Management showed her lack of caring about it today in an in-person conversation today. I am sure, the employees there, have access to all resources for the bathroom, but of course, customers do not. I have seen better organized stores. read more

Horrible, rude, lazy, and unprofessional would be the nicest adjectives I could come up with to describe the people who work at the pharmacy in this location. My rx took 40 min past the time it was supposed to be ready AND they claimed the doctor only sent in one out of the two prescriptions. (Called the doctor and that wasn't true but I'm not surprised because again... lazy.) When I asked if they could contact the doctor on my behalf they claimed they weren't allowed to. On top of that neither of the people I spoke with even bothered to make eye contact and the girl literally turned around in the middle of talking with me to tell her coworker some gossip. Which btw I could hear them gossiping nonstop for the entire 40 min I was wandering around the store. They didn't even attempt to be quiet-i could literally hear them from the middle of the store. Most of it was about how much they hated their jobs, but also included talk about some girl who used to work there and then moved on to Willy Wonka. At least they have range. I won't be going back there again, but I'd also advise anybody else thinking of filling a prescription there to go anywhere but there. read more

You have to jump threw hoops to talk to the pharmacy. When you call you nant get to anyone in the pharmacy. After going threw there long and tedious menu you have to leave a message and they say they will call you back in a hour. After going threw this process a number of time I simply presses 2 witch is for doctors only.the girl who answered was exstreamy nasty and then said she would help me just this one time.they expect you to put up with this nonsense. This pharmacy is a mess. If you don't stay on them they NEVER fill your prescription. Last time I dropped off a prescription I came back in three hours and it was not filled. I was told to come back in a 1/2 an hour. In a half an hour I drove back up to the drive through...still not done. I told them I was coming in to wait for it....guess what? Five minutes and done. So yesterday I had a prescription called in. I walked in with my child and told them I was going to stand there and wait. My son and I stood in front of the counter and waited. I'm rating the pharmacy, not the actual store. The staff was very friendly with us, with finding our prescription. They got all the information down, without a fight like what I get at Walgreens. They are very knowledgeble about what perscriptions to get, or what medicines to buy. Even, though it is a bit expensive, all of the things actually are not a scam. Not one thing I bought here has not been successful. They do know what they're doing. read more

UPDATE- decided to give this pathetic excuse for a pharmacy one more shot since it's literally a minute from where I live...what a mistake. Prescription was supposed to be filled this morning, now it's "on order" and I just spent a half hour on the phone on hold and talking to robots. Still have no info as to where my prescription is or when it will be ready. Absolutely ridiculous. Save yourself the aggravation and go to the CVS inside Target instead. Should be zero stars. The ABSOLUTE WORST pharmacy around. They never have medications in stock, then feed you some story about how they'll order it and it'll be here tomorrow but then either don't say anything for almost auntil you can get a hold of them or they'll give you the same "I have to order it for tomorrow" story. They're more than happy to "find the prescription at another CVS for you" ...so what's the point of this place. Not to mention they are rude, condescending, and so unprofessional. Save your time and find a different pharmacy, this place isn't worth the time and aggravation. I made an appointment for my elderly dementia mother to get a flu shot. I got there on time and was told i had to wait over an hour because they were to busy with pharmacy prescriptions. I told them why am i making an appointment if i have to wait. The woman just shrugged and said that was the way it is. I asked for a chair and was told there weren't any. I left came home to call to speak to a manager and was left on hold for 20 minutes and then was hung up on. This CVS is a disgrace!!!!! read more

Im rating the pharmacy here, not the store. My last experience here was not that great. I had a prescription which I sent through a fax machine. I called over and asked to see if they received it, the pharmacy department says "yes". Mind you, this was in the morning. They tell me it needs some special mixing so it will take awhile, but it will be ready by this afternoon. They havent called me to confirm, so I was guessing it would be ready by the afternoon when I get out of work. I walk over there and they tell me that they couldnt find one of the ingredients, and if I can just bring it to another pharmacy that knows how to mix the drug. I almost lost it. Why didnt they call me earlier if that was the case. I would have had time to call other pharmacy. They have bad customer service here. Bad Communication with customers. A woeful combination of inept pharmacy staff, constant understaffing, and lack of other options (not for long) in the immediate area. Lines are long. Once the customers stand in line for 15 minutes, they get aggravated. The staff responds with remarks that sound like condescending hissing, yet are well meaning in content - truly an amazing ability! Every time I have gone there in the last year, I have asked myself why I would voluntarily subject myself to this "experience". The answer is habit and lack of an alternative. Well, no more! As a consumer, I'll vote with my wallet. I'd rather drive another couple of miles, than give this place another dime or minute of my time. They clearly don't appreciate either. read more

This is the sorriest excuse for a drug store that I've ever had the misfortune of frequenting. As others have noted, the employees staffing the pharmacy are lazy, ignorant and unconscionably slow. They just don't care about the customers. To make matters worse, most of the customers are elderly. They selfishly hold up the line counting their pennies and arguing about prices and coupons. I don't know why anyone under 70 puts up with this. I've given up on this miserable place. Although it's not as convenient geographically, I'm now using Target pharmacy. Not for prescriptions... if you go in there for anything else is fine a prescription forget it. You wait 40 minutes on the phone to tell you it's ready when it's not, you go in, your insurance hasn't approved it, or they don't check your copays, you have to wait if the medicine is not in stock a few days, ALWAYS a series of problems. I was nearly given a wrong medication, I take metformin and saw that tablets were very very small. It was corrected right away. When picking up meds they need to ask if you have any questions about the medications if you do pls say so and don't just sign. read more

Have been here a couple of times for flu shots and our experience in the Minute Clinic has been good. Other times we've stopped by for household stuff we've run out of, so can't say I've been bothered by the lack of service. One thing I have noticed each time though : there's always a long line at the counter because for some reason they generally have just one open. One time we tried our luck for passport sized pics and they said their equipment was bust. So we'll keep popping in every now and then for the convenience alone. read more

I was very frustrated and disgusted by the service I received from the Pharmacy Dept. CVS had texted me that my prescription was not covered by insurance earlier today. I presented the pharmacist with a GoodRx Coupon and he insisted that I cannot use it because "my insurance covered the prescription". When I explained I had received a text from CVS, he raised his voice and said he doesn't know why we got that text, but it was incorrect information. This man was a tall white male. Afterwards, I checked the name on my pill bottle and his name is Richard Govignon, RPh. I left the pharmacy, had my father call, and the issue was resolved by Adrianna. It's a shame that the concern had to come from a man's voice to be taken seriously. While I understand the pandemic and its circumstances are challenging for everyone, this pharmacist had no right to treat me the way he did. He was uncompassionate, rude, and lazy, and should not go into the field at all because he lacks human empathy. I will definitely be switching pharmacies after this awful encounter. read more

I generally do not have an issue with Front End because I can take care of myself. Other reviews have accurately stated that they are horribly understaffed, but again, I have not had a problem. No, my reviews if for the 3 ring circus they call a pharmacy. When you first buy a prescription at CVS, they very sneakily sign you up for text alerts. It is easier to delete your entire identity from the internet than it is to get rid of these text alerts. At least once a day they will harass your phone telling you that you better pick up that delinquent script OR ELSE!! (I added those two words myself, but you get the message.) Now if you ignore the texts long enough, they will break out the Harry Potter Howlers, i.e. you will get a call "reminding" you that the script will be returned "to the shelf" soon, as if "the shelf" is an underground Disney vault where your allergy medicine will only be released 10 years from now in limited quantities. These calls generally occur at night. We just received one at 9 P.M. Aside from blocking their number, there is no way to remove yourself from this medicine mafia's call list. How about in person, you say? I can write another review, but let's just say I may end up on every micro-aggression watchlist if I do. In general, bad communication due to poor customer service and social skills, horrible command of the English language, low voice volume, etc. At the drive thru, some of the employees open up the window a centimeter to slide through paper work or an insurance card. Then they try to talk to you through the muffled microphone. Bitch, no! Open the window and talk to me! Shit, have I wasted 20 minutes writing this? The staff is too busy to care about people, so they tend to rush and lose patience very quickly. Everyone is on a short fuse there, customer service is at a -10 or at best a 0. I guess they don't know there is a pandemic. Although you have to wear a mask and wait for them to call you before you can go into the clinic, they DO NOT take temperatures or even ask you if you feel well before administering the flu vaccine. In addition, the physical footprint itself was a sloppy mess. Overflowing waste basket, cluttered countertops with open bandage boxes and other medical supplies. Cvs has gotten so large that they cannot do their job properly. They hire many teenagers and one pharmacist at a time to save money which means you WILL have problems. I used the app but when problems with my prescriptions occurred they told me the app is not good. When prescriptions expire they offer to call your doctor but what that really means is we will call once and let you guess if it went through or not. The pharmacy is the worse. Never seems to be enough help and the young cashiers always look terrified because there has always been unhappy customers when I'm there . Today again I go in after receiving a call every day for the last four days saying there is a prescription ready for pick up there. I waited almost a total of an hour. I had time to shop in the store, put items in car, go order and pick up dinner at Sandys and come back and still stand in a long line and not one customer did not complain. For starters they tried to tell me that my insurance didn't cover my prescription and after repeatedly telling them that I'm covered and eventually raising my voice, they decided to recheck and soon realized I was correct. Next; I was prescribed xanax and each prescription of a controlled substance at that level should come with its warning info and documents, which they didn't give me, and decided to sneak it into my NEXT prescription without saying a word. I've lived in EB 3 years now and find this location a pretty convenient and helpful place. Meds - I get reminders for my prescriptions from their automated system, get my prescriptions on time, no issues ever encoutered with any medications being mixed up or incorrectly administered. Ease - I think this is a fine place and nowadays they have good coupons and deals for various items. I can easily find my first-aid meds as well Grocery Items - I can get daily grocery items easily, although a bit higher priced than the larger retailers but their location is pretty convenient so no complaints. Staff - Staff has been reasonably well mannered with me so no issues there either. Of-course, you do encounter a rare sample once in a while but generally speaking, they're well mannered. read more

I'm a retired school teacher. After checking with my Horizon health plan and being told I could get a free flu shot at the East Brunswick CVS at 330 Rues Lane, I called CVS to confirm. I drove there after being assured that a flu shot would be covered. Lines, forms, etc. Then, I was told I need a "voucher" from Horizon. I drove home and called Horizon. They contacted the pharmacy. Our conference call revealed this about CVS 1. Their "Minute Clinic" was not yet licensed. 2. They were not sure when they would be licensed. 3. They could not promise to call me when they get their license. I can guarantee that I will never use a CVS anywhere ever again. read more

I came here on 4/26 dropped off a prescription . My Insurance doesn't cover it so I asked how much it would be they told me it was an astronomical number like $262 I pulled out my are good RX plan it's a discount card they told me it was $252. I Asked for my prescription back because I felt like I was taken for a ride. I went I called a few places I went to Windsor pharmacy and they asked me if I filled out the online discount I want to paying $75 my new pharmacy will be Windsor pharmacy thank you. Although CVS is closer I support the little guy because obviously the big guys are supporting their pockets. And not the consumer. If I could give this CVS -stars I would, I had to give it at least one star just to be able to review it. It's the absolute worst CVS I have ever had the misfortune to visit. My son is a Type I Diabetic and they never have a specific type of syringe he uses in stock, I get the wrong lancets for his blood glucose monitor and everyone has a major attitude to boot. You had better check your prescriptions before you leave because I have gone home and had to go right back because I got the wrong items. I am not a hard person to please, but I feel that if you are running a pharmacy that deals with people who have any kind of ailments, you should keep supplies updated and on the shelf.
