They were out of the micellar makeup pads I wanted, ended up with something else but with a refreshing cucumber wipes. They had gaps and spots where there was nothing on the shelves. I didn't have any useable coupons except for the garnier micellar cleanse water. It doesn't seem like I bought that much yet it was still over $51 and that's after the $3 off. I am still convinced they inflate their prices and make members believe they are getting a deal, when in fact using a coupon might bring the price of an item to what I would pay at big box store. This price inflation is much of the reason why I don't buy as much from or as often at CVS convenience stores. It's only when I am too tired or unwilling to drive further to a big box store.

Woodward Market is by way of Meijer and it is awesome. Their whole thing is local local local. This year we've been hiding out from COVID and are bummed we couldn't visit our friends and family across the country or have them come to us. So we're doing gift baskets for Christmas. My theme is local foods from small businesses. So imagine my delight when my googling led me to Woodward Market, where to say they have a focus on local is an understatement. I feel like every fifth item is local. Every end cap is local goods. They've obviously done their research. It's awesome. And the store itself is shiny and new. Other stores on Woodward (I'm looking at you, Uncle Joseph's) feel crowded and small in comparison. This market is bright, with wide aisles and a fresh look. There's an extensive liquor wall, with Michigan options a plenty. Lots of toilet paper right now. Every grocery store staple is available. The produce plentiful. Everything was well labeled. I just cannot say enough nice things about it. I would love to see more of these stores in Metro Detroit. I hope Meijer considers it!
