Very Rude and Dismissive Pharmacy Staff. I would suggest not working in this position if you aren't willing to help people.

Don't go there if you're in a hurry. Checkout takes about 5 mins and they are short staffed.

I have my Cvs membership card and it would give me coupons periodically. As well as some dollars off my next purchases too. I would come back to try to use them up whenever they expired, though not really needing anything in particular, just that feeling I should use the coupon. However, after some time shopping here for years and not really thinking about the cost of what I was buying. I realized many of the products that they sell here are at a higher price than what I would get at Meijer and other bigger stores. It always seemed like I was getting a deal with a Coupon, but in reality the retail price here was already up charged from big store prices from the start, so that one could use a coupon to get it back to the original price it would be at any other big stores. I would normally have bought all my hair products, makeup, body and face stuff, vitamins and other miscellaneous items as well as cards here. For a while now they no longer sell any other greeting cards, but Hallmark. So all of their greeting cards are on the higher end and pricier here now. I mostly come here now to pick up prescriptions and periodic items here and there, when I'm in a pinch and need something quick and easy and fast. Realizing that I will be paying more here and then going to another bigger store. It's all after all about convenience and not fair pricing at CVS.

Marinco Pharmacy - Vintage glass cased display of medicines and tonics!

I have been going here for about a year and have NEVER had a problem. They are the true "DIY" pioneers and the epitome of wonderful local business. This mom and pop shop is a great place to go for any and all meds plus it has a genuine gorgeous old-world feel. It's as if you just stepped into the 50's, the nostalgia of their vintage medical supplies display takes the cake. It's gorgeous and even if you don't need a prescription I suggest you go and check it out anyway, it's a sight to be seen. I had never heard of this little gem off the service drive until my doctor recommended them and I'm thrilled he did. Great customer service, honest hard working employees who are even willing to wait for you if you are running a little past closing time. Newer so called "diy" hipster pharmacies that try to be shops of whimsy should take note. Marinco is the best around!

When I was a young girl, my mom went to pharmacies just like this one. When I first walked into Marinco's, I felt like I did as a young girl again inside an old fashion pharmacy lol They carry everything but, if they don't have it, they'll get it for you without too long of a wait. Mike and Matt are seriously excellent, kind, and professional. I also adore Kayleigh (I didn't spell that right!) She is so nice, and it's just cool chatting with her. They know you by name, which really is so professional and a fantastic touch. For a while, my sons had to pick up my prescriptions, and they even knew their names. Chain pharmacies need to take a step back and try to learn who comes in every month. I won't name the other two pharmacies, but I'm telling you, they're so rude and act like they don't want to even be there working, let alone answering questions. I'm going to be transferring my two sons' scripts to Marinco's, as I can talk to Matt or Mike without feeling like I'm wasting their time.

The cashiers, quick and friendly and always smiling! What a bonus! The pharmacy - that's where it gets lost and that's where it matters the most. Medication, illness, and dis-ease are all important matters and how you handle folks during times of duress is of the utmost important. On more than one occasion, I personally, have heard one particular female pharmacist continuously berating patients and the things they say/do. More than ONCE, and not only that, but a few days ago, this pharmacist cut me off repeatedly while on the phone, assuming she 'knew' what I was going to say next. Added on top of that, she was incorrect in the information she gave me. I found the meds I needed at another Walgreens, that she said wasn't likely... I understand your job gets stressful, but that's life, so does EVERY job. I also understand the need to decompress and/or vent about your stressors, but not ON the job, not whilst you're working that job. I've been going to Walgreens with my prescriptions for a very long time and honestly, the treatment at this particular location has made me reconsider altogether.

So when my doctor sends in the prescription, y'all decide that you just won't fill it? Weird. The first time I went there, the pharmacist refused to come near the register when I was standing and decided she need to stand at a computer 15ft away. I wanted to know how much the prescription would cost. My insurance just switched so I wanted to determine which pharmacy is the least expensive. I also had a prescription savings card that she just could not understand. I tried to explain it to her, she kept telling me I was wrong. I would ask her questions, she refused to answer. I asked her the price difference between a 30 day supply and a 90 day supply, she would tell me that my insurance might not cover that (which I knew wasn't true). I just wanted to know the cost. But she just would not answer. Ridiculous. The medication I take is very expensive. Without fail, every single time, the person helping me grills me about the cost. And I would appreciate that if they were asking in way that was like "I just want to make sure you are aware of the cost...?" But instead it's a whole bunch of attitude about how "don't actually need us to fill this because it's way too expensive". I know it's expensive. I need it. What am I supposed to do? If you were kindly asking out of concern or trying to let me know to make sure I knew, that would be great. But giving me attitude? Please stop. I'm not thrilled about the price either. At least be nice about it???? If you can, avoid at all costs.

I used to come here. Switched to RiteAid a half mile away. But after 5-plus years there, the…read moreRiteAid went out of business and automatically transferred my scrips back to that Walgreens. And so I was back for over a year I think. The general issues didn't change. Understaffed up front. Not all that helpful in the back. This past week, I had trouble getting my continuous glucose monitor. Walgreens was frequently out of stock on an item that is replaced regularly like clockwork. Well 3 weeks ago, when my doctor had it refilled, Walgreen's only filled 15 days out of a 90 day script. When I sought a refill from Walgreen's, they said I first needed a prior authorization. This seemed odd, but it's the first month of the year. So I called my doctor. They said: I still had 5 refills left. Walgreens insisted I still needed a prior authorization. So I called my doctor yet again. And the doctor said they'd call the pharmacy. And the pharmacy was still adamant! Wouldn't fill my glucose sensor. The person on the phone was rude. The prior use of the automated system was difficult if you sought to speak to the pharmacist. Walgreens also said it didn't have my particular sensor in stock. They didn't. Then had to ask them if they'd check other Walgreens (several are fairly close). And they did upon being asked. But the Walgreens they sent me to had only the newer version of my sensor which would require a new script from the doctor. Well - that was enough. Enough was enough. I'd now Bern without my diabetes glucose sensor for a couple days! It's my life they're gambling with. Called CVS across the street. Told them to have all my scripts transferred to them from the Walgreen's across the street. Asked if they had the particular sensor, but that store didn't have it (they only had the newer version too), but said they'd get from another store and have it the next day (it was nearing closing on Saturday). On Sunday, they had my sensor and gave me all 90 days. While I can't know the future with CVS, which some folks complain about) it certainly looks far more promising. Because of Medicare Advantage insurance, I don't know how much business Walgreen's just lost on an annual basis. I have had a whole lot of scripts filled there and previously at RiteAid. Thousands of dollars in value to them? I'd guess so. Note: Rite Aid was often out of my sensor and sometimes out of other drugs I was due. That was quite annoying. I made it a habit to call in the script multiple days early so if it had to be ordered, I'd still get it on time. One huge difference though is that RiteAid was always, very courteous no matter who was there and they always tried hard to help when needed. They were unfortunately often understaffed. But I much preferred RiteAid. So I'm pleased to once again be rid of Walgreens. Hope CVS is good - but the bar is set quite low so I'm sure CVS will at least be an improvement. Should have immediately transferred to RiteAid scripts to CVS. Bye-bye. Thought you readers should know.
