The employees at this CVS are by far some of the most kind, patient, generous and helpful I have experienced. They're always so patient when you need help whether it is with the self check out machine or getting an item from a locked shelf. The employees never fail to greet you upon entrance and give you a smile or a "blessed day," which is rare to find now a day. Often in stores I find I get anxious or nervous in asking an employee a question, but not here. Everyone is so welcoming and kind. I encourage you to stop by and see for yourself! read more

My physician had been trying to fill a prescription for me for 7 hours. I personally tried calling on my own to check status without response. My waiting period was 45 minutes each. I decided it'd be easier to drive there personally. All three responses were that they never received my script. Upon arrival to the drive thru I was asked to give them sympathy being that they were OVERWHELMED. I argued that they were not overwhelmed; given that I was in the pharmacy earlier and they had approximately 5 customers in store. I FINALLY decided to change my pharmacy to a Walgreens one minute down the road. THEY were prompt in answering their calls, receiving my script after 15 minutes! I will never attempt to use this CVS again! read more

Wish I could give this place a zero because for over two years whenever I need a prescription filled there is a problem. They'll send me the text message saying it's ready but when I get there SOMETHING COMES UP. Whether I talk on the phone, or in person there's is always a different reason and there is always an inconsistency with the stories. Today I am extremely upset because yesterday I was told by Brianna that 4/5 of the prescriptions that I needed were in stock. Fine, it's expected with this location. But when I got to CVS, the prescription that I was running out of was missing instead. I was told yesterday that they were out of stock and shipment would be in after 2pm. I received a text message today stating that my prescription was ready but when I got there I was told by Annette that my prescription needed approval by the doctor. So yesterday my prescription was there but when I got there it wasn't in stock and now today it needs approval by the doctor. Now in one last attempt, I call CVS. I ask what is the status of the medicine. Now I'm told by Emily that there isn't an order for the prescription AT ALL. Does this make any sense?? Why is it that yesterday my medicine wasn't in stock, then it needed approval, now there is no prescription. Why is it that every employee gave me a different story. Honestly makes no sense. If you get here at just the right time you will experience a phenomenon. The line from the Pharmacy will actually touch the back of the line at the front registers. Rumor has it that this endless grouping of human beings only happens 20 times a day during the hours of 8 am and midnight so you'll have to be cunning or just present to catch it. I have lived in the neighborhood for 26 years and this has always been the pharmacy that my family and i have used. Im 26 now so i am under my own policy as a build off of my parents policy. My change of policy seems to be incomprehensible for the pharmacy staff. Annette at the drive through is beyond rude and condescending when infact she was wrong in the process of billing my prescription. She charged my brother whom was nice enough to pick up my prescription for me for the previous script on something that is completely covered and then attempted to do that again after i spoke with the pharmacist who said this was covered. Went to get my money back and the pharmacist told me she cant reverse the charge, ok fine understand because it has to be re-put through insurance. Im not one to write reviews but i want this to be seen. Dont use this cvs! read more

The pharmacists and techs are pleasant but it must be very stressful working under these conditions when you are preparing medicine and there's always a long line of people. I don't know why they don't hire enough staff they're obviously a busy store. Not coming here anymore. read more

This used to be a good pharmacy its been going down hill in the past year and a half. I have been going to this CVS for the past 18 years. Recently it has been plagued with long lines and non-attentive staff. Lets start with the staff, because long lines can't really helped (actually they can, if management works diligently) 1. Staffers and Pharmacists do what ever they can do just to skate by. 2. They don't really give you the information to help you unless you ask for it Additional to 2. How am I supposed to know this information. Example: I was told to unsuscribe from mail order if I wanted my medicine, so I did, and to my surprise after I got the meds, it was extremely expensive. Which then they told me afterwords I would save money using the mail order, and would not let me return it. 3. They have screwed up my medicine before, and I have argued with the pharmacist before about the differences in the meds. They gave me the wrong meds, the difference in price was 80vs10 dollars and the attitude was "Well your plan changed, its not our problem" So I looked into it, and they were wrong. I had to bring in old pill for a sample to prove the pharmacist "Martin" wrong. They adjusted the fee. I was dealing with this from 9PM-12AM. CVS Deer Park does not help you, they ignore you and does whatever they can do to skate by. They probably are overworked and exhausted due to the overwhelming lines. However, that is no excuse to screw up on medicine, and blame the plan change. Then tell me to remove mail order and pick up a medicine, price is outrageous, paid, complained and then told afterwords that the mail order would be cheaper, which it was, and I was not able to return it. This place down right blows. I left the meds on the counter, they can deal with it, I refuse to deal with their bull anymore, I will no longer be going to CVS anymore. read more

Typical CVS. I had to buy some toiletries but was having a hard time getting any. A lot of there "higher priced" and/or name brand items are locked up behind plastic cases or chained to the actual metal rod causing me to have to get assistance every time I needed something which in the end, ended up wasting my time and theirs. Ugh. After finally getting all my items together, I checked myself out with the helpful eye assistance of one of their employees. Which is helpful if the machine starts to act up. This CVS gave me a headache. I will try to avoid it next time I go. read more

This CVS is so hit or miss. Some days I'm in and out no problem, the pharmacy staff is pleasant and I have no complaints. Other times they are SLOW and staff working the register is kind of snippy and not interested in being helpful. Since this is the one 24-hour CVS in the area, they definitely are busier than other locations, but they are perpetually understaffed, which has gotten even worse with this crazy flu season. This is by no means the fault of the employees, but CVS corporate should really considering adding more staff to this location. read more

I went to the drive-through window to pick up my inhaler, and Annette who is working the drive-through window didn't know how to spell my last name with me spelling it out for her, but told me to tell her my last name and that she knows how to spell. VERY RUDE! She told me my prescription wouldn't be ready for another hour, and the minute that I walk in my front door. I live two minutes away I got a text message saying that my prescription was ready. When I called them and spoke to the pharmacist. She went and spoke to her and got back on the line and said that she told me to come inside so that she could expedite it. which she never did she lied & never told me that. read more

Four stars because its the nearest location and I m well aware of "where is what" in the aisles. Organized, neat, staff is super friendly. Love the extrabucks rewards. Value for money. My son's doctor recently sent in a prescription to this pharmacy. I was called within the hour by CVS and told that the meds weren't covered under his insurance plan, which differs from mine. I immediately called the doctor back to have him prescribe something else. Was called the next day to tell me the script was ready, but still not covered. This was never an issue before, what the heck? After back and forth with the doctor's office, I found out that CVS had insurance company X, which nobody in my family has EVER dealt with, listed as his insurance carrier. He has had insurance company Y for the last 8 years. How does this even happen? Incompetency beyond words... Because of this charming 'clerical error', I had to cancel the follow up appointment with the doctor which is difficult for me to reschedule and my son has been without the medication. read more

When the doctor sends your medication in to this CVS they don't even bother to try and get it ready until you come your first time to pick it up. Then they say twenty minutes. When you come again they say again that it will be another wait for ten to fifteen minutes. Then you'll finally get your medicine. Go to New Island down the block if you can. I've never received my prescription in under 30 minutes whether waiting inside the store or at the drive through window. I've actually seen a line that was 7 cars deep....no thanks. The best part about this CVS is that it's open 24 hours. I remember running to them around midnight (or later) because my daughter was running a fever and we needed some Advil. With that said, I do think their items are over priced. You can probably get the same medicines, ointments, creams, and other items at your local grocery store for significantly cheaper. The pharmacy itself is hit or miss. More often than not, I find them to be slow. I once had an experience where I went through the drive-thru to pick up a prescription to which they then asked me to pull around the entire building and come inside. All because the person assisting me couldn't find my prescription and didn't want to hold up the drive-thru line. I come inside and I had to wait another 15 minutes in line at the counter. I was then finally helped by someone who knew what she was doing and finally got my prescription and left. This was at night after a long day so I was pretty PO'd. To be fair, there have been other times where I got my prescription with little to no issues. So all in all, I come here for after-hour emergencies, necessary prescriptions, and passport photos. For everything else, I'll go elsewhere. read more

CVS is expensive even if you get coupons (still expensive) Now similar to my Walgreens review this is no different. Since they have security here because before COVID hit the DPHS kids would go in this area to get food or go to CVS. When I got there it was usually around 3-4. Anyway since many people steal from this place they now since locked small items such as lashes so no one steals them. I remember going in here and this lady who mostly dealt with the beauty section would be nice to me usually but this one time she believed I was stealing and stood around there. Not only that security was also near me as well. I understand that if people stealed before what makes them stop now? And yes kids are kids, but I am no kid. I work two jobs to provide for me and my family and having someone look over me like a crow makes me want to throw up. I remember wearing a backpack and them telling me to "put it down" and what happens if these random kids steals my bag? Than what? Is that going to do anything? There is no reason why I should be on a 45 min line for medication bc someone has a problem with their insurance! Tell them to circle around! Even worst called the store to speak with a pharmacist the wait is 15 mins and no one has yet to answer do not go to this horrible place! Hire some other people or more for that fact to help you! I ordered a refill of a prescription on the 31st of July over the phone the prescription service line said it would be ready the next day at 5pm as i had requested. I went to pick it up on the 1st of August and was told it couldn't be refilled until the 4th of August frustrated i said it told me today the woman told me it happens all the time, i said i wouldn't be in until the 6th as i was traveling she stated they would hold it. I arrived today after i got a reminder at 11:45 this morning that the pharmacist just refiled the prescription. I showed up at 6:16 this evening and the pharmacist told me I couldnt have it be cause it expired yesterday the 5th, what the hell is wrong with CVS to make people show up when its not ready or leave to return for when they said it would be ready, and then get a smile,smirk as she tells you it expired and I have to get a new prescription. I wish we were with Walgreen's, Aetna and CVS merging has made them millions and the customer serveries have become absolutely GONE god help a really sick person that has to travel from a sick bed to get that haha smile its not ready or we messed up call your doctor, Walgreens would have been on the phone to rectify this BUT NOT CVS! this isn't the first time either, shame on CVS. read more

I go to this location a lot. I had a bad experience on Saturday. I went to the store with my 20 percent off coupon. I know they don't use if for sale items, but I bought several other items. When I checked out I saw the 20 percent did not come off the vitamins I purchased. I told the cashier who was also the manager and he said that they were on sale. I went back to check the sign and the only sale sign was for CVS brand buy one get one free. When I went back and told him, he went back and checked the sign and then he scanned it on the test scanner and told me they were buy one get one half off. I wouldn't have known this since the sign didn't say that. He refused to give me the 20 percent off saying it didn't matter that the sign wasn't there. I thought this was rude and not the way to treat a regular customer for something that was their mistake. read more
