If you can find any place else (Brookshires or Renshaw) to take your prescriptions, I would highly recommend it. Several times the pharmacist has put the wrong number of pills in our prescriptions... very often shorting us, tremendously. However, they have no problem over charging, or making you come back and charging you for a "refill" even though they never filled the first prescription correctly. They always place generic, even when the prescription clearly states NO GENERIC. After speaking to 3 different people and receiving a text message telling me the date I could get my prescription the pharmacist literally yelled at me on the phone. They waited til the last minute on THANKGIVING to tell me they're refusing to fill my medication. I have NEVER EVER been spoken to that way. The pharmacist wouldn't even allow me to speak. He yelled over me. All I wanted to know was why they lied to me for a week telling me they would fill my prescription. So shameful. Horrid behavior. The pharmacists are less than enthused with walk up customers. Rudeness and attitude are less than friendly customer service. I was told I'd be called as soon as my prescription was transferred to this CVS. I have yet to hear anything 2 days later and now I'm on the phone, on hold for someone to pick up the phone to ask these questions. My daughter NEEDS these meds. There's a on hold message to use the app, which is great, but the app is difficult/confusing to use. EDIT: I literally just got off the phone with them. She asked my info, I have it to her. Waited on hold. She came back saying the weren't ready and it would be a couple hours. I asked another question and she replied "$hit". Let's start with CVS, Aetna and Caremark are a total racket. This particular CVS is the worst. It's poorly run and the staff is incompetent and rude. They get stuck on stupid more often than being helpful on any level. Most recent experience is for two prescriptions and I'm being asked to pay $55 for both. When I ask about insurance I get we filed it and this is the cost. I persist because I know they are covered since I got the same scripts the week before and it was $10. Then I get well we applied a discount card for you so that means insurance didn't cover it. It's at this point that I realize what the issue is. The script this week are under my married name and the old ones are under my maiden name. I ask nicely if they can get the info off the other account. Seriously I get a blank stare then a ummm and finally well I need the member ID and bin off of the card. Just so happens that neither of us happen to have the card . Well can you look it up on my husbands account then no we need the card. At this point it gets terse and the less than helpful pharmacist gets involved. He starts to look up the info using a drivers license but then starts spouting bullsh*t about yelling at the clerk. I didn't yell at the clerk but I'm dang sure yelling at you now. The retail store manager comes over and is whispering with pharmacist at the counter. I gotta get up and get in on that. After all this they give me one script but instance won't cover the other without prior authorization and it's a new policy that we can't give it to you if insurance doesn't cover it. The dude was being an obstruction just to make a point. I got on the phone with the doctors office and had the script moved to Walmart. They were so much more helpful and we had it filled less than an hour later. read more

Trying to find adhd meds for my kids and they will not help you locate it at another cvs. Other CVS pharmacies are very helpful but avoid this one. Worst pharmacy experience ever, and it was repeated times! They take 4 to 6 hours to get a prescription ready and then if they're out of the prescription, they don't even notify you which leaves some people in a bind for pain, relief or any other medicines. This is the worst pharmacy ever called to get an amount of how much a prescription was gonna be gave the date of birth five different times the last time I said I did raise my voice a little bit to be heard, and they got nasty with me and said I didn't need to yell but yeah, every time they asked me the date of birthday turnaround was talking to somebody else then they told me it was going to be an hour when I called earlier that morning and was told it was gonna be another 20 minutes, but while on the phone after raising my voice, she said you don't need to yell at me or I'm not going to help you I intern said so I guess I have to play nice nice even if I'm unhappy with service and she hung up basically if you don't kiss their butt, they'll make your prescription take longer or hang up on you because you're basically at the mercy. Do yourself a favor and find a new pharmacy in Wise County/ Decatur. This place is the absolute worst. We've waited a week for a single Rx to be filled (Flonase... it's not like they even had to count out my pills). If you call and manage to get the voice recognition system to work and you get connected to talk to someone they're always rude. When you get off the phone you're left feeling like you just wasted your own time. The lines are outrageous just to find out your stuff isn't ready. I sympathize for the poor techs that work the register. I get it they are short staffed but they can't use that excuse forever. Two things to consider. A powder formulation was NOT reconstituted and there was no counsel provided. They were confused and overwhelmed and there did not seem to be any leadership. January 6 rolls around and I had to call yet again and they still didn't have my stuff ready or even trransfered over. I go on 1/7/20 and they still didn't have everything thing ready and had nothing but excuses. Not to mention they never updated my number and they never called to let me know. Constantly have trouble getting prescriptions filled and refilled here. You can never get a human on the phone and never get your questions answered. I've tried using their new website and it doesn't seem to be accurate either. We've decided to switch our business to a local pharmacy where you can talk to a human who actually knows you. Worst Customer Service Ever... The only reason there is one star marked is because it won't let you give zero (or less). On Sunday afternoon, 3/17, I had taken my wife to the urgent care clinic in Decatur for an eye injury. The acute condition was causing severe pain and required immediate treatment. After a very good experience at that location, I took her prescriptions to this CVS. I entered the store around 5:50 pm and proceeded directly to the pharmacy area, where I stood at the drop off counter for several minutes while the pharmacist, who clearly saw me, stood talking with the techs and toying with a canister of disinfectant wipes. Finally, after several minutes, she approached the counter and in a voice intent to display that she was clearly put out, she stated, "What do you do need?" Even though I was taken aback by this ever-so-pleasant greeting, I proceeded to extend the two prescriptions (one for an antibiotic and the other a mild pain medication) and my insurance card across the counter to her. She snatched them from my hand and stated, without even looking at them, "It will be tomorrow before you can get these!" My response was that my wife had a corneal abrasion, we have just come from the urgent care up the street, and she is in pain, needing these meds tonight. In a far less than caring tone, this woman proceeded to tell me that she was closing in three minutes and I would not be getting them filled tonight. I was clearly exasperated! I asked if there was another pharmacy that stayed open later, to which she replied that I could try Azle or Denton. She then shoved the prescriptions and card back across to me and turned away. As she clearly indicated, she had 3 more minutes (and several more had she addressed me when I first approached the counter - clearly in her line of sight) and inasmuch, she had plenty of time to fill the prescription. 3 minutes is not "closed". I do not say this as a matter of opinion, rather as a statement of fact! I worked all through high school and college as a pharmacy technician in retail pharmacies. I never once behaved in such a manner or witnessed such rude behavior from any of the pharmacist (or others for that matter) who worked in the stores in which I was employed. A good tech can enter the patient information, insurance, and prescription information in a matter of minutes. Many times we filled over 300 prescriptions in an 8 hour shift with just the pharmacist, myself and one other tech (the same staffing model I observed in this pharmacy). All she needed to do was get a bottle of eye drops and count 20 pills. Many times we had customers in need come to the door just as we were closing, lights off and locking up, and we went back in and filled them. In one location, we were the pharmacy across the street from the very busy county hospital and we closed at midnight. More times than I can count we would have people come in at 3 minutes to midnight (or after). We never turned one of them away. This pharmacist is a disgrace to her profession!! In order to get the prescriptions filled, I had to drive from Decatur to Lake Worth (42 miles and approximately 1 hour). The 24 hour Walgreens, while pleasant, was short-staffed and I did not get the prescriptions and the first dose to my wife until 10:45 pm that evening. She was in complete discomfort and suffering needlessly because of the plump, blonde, female pharmacist working that Sunday evening. If you encounter her, I'd just turn and leave!! To say that I am disgusted with CVS is an understatement! I have had poor customer services experiences from clerks in CVS stores around the nation (as well as other retail establishments), but have brushed each off, not taking to Yelp or any other platform to express my grief, however, this is inexcusable. Not only will I never enter this CVS again, I will do my best to avoid all of their stores nationwide and am telling everyone, on every platform I can find. I have also called the pharmacy manager for this location and expressed my grief (not that I expect it will do any good) and I have blasted it out on social media. An e-mail has been forwarded to CVS corporate with my complaint and I will be informing my insurance company and most likely, the BBB and the State Board of Pharmacy (if they have a complaint mechanism for such). read more

I am currently active duty military, so I travel alot and have been to quite a few CVS around the country. It's my go to place for vitamins and for my dogs medication. I came to my home town to surprise my mom for her birthday and unfortunately, I caught a bit of a cold. My Mom and I walked into the store, the employees were very friendly, everything was very organized as usual. The problem came when I went into the restroom...this is a small-town, so it's never extremely busy. I have NEVER seen a female bathroom at a pharmacy that disgusting. Little customer concern or accuracy in the pharmacy. Took more than 10 days to get a REFILL. Entered the refill over their automated system which told me it would be ready the following day. It wasn't and was told by the store it would be ready later that day. TEN days later I've gotten the REFILL. When I complained about the automatic system I was told I need to call customer support. Rather than the employee in front of me handle my complaint I was told to call an 800 number. read more

I can't believe that there are not more negative reviews on this place! I have been to cvs twice and both times were a horrible experience. No one greets you or even bothers to speak to you. I stood at the counter waiting for someone at the checkout for 5 minutes and when the guy finally did come he treated me like I was an annoyance rather than a paying customer. I couldn't even call the manager to complain because no one would answer the freaking phone!!!! To top it all off my card was demagnetized when I paid for my things so had to make a special trip to the bank for a new one!! The pharmacy customer service is horrible! I have to get prescriptions filled several times a month and it seems like everytime I call or go in I am a bother to the staff. The staff has changed several times since I have been going to pick up my prescriptions but unfortunately the attitude has not. I recently changed to WalMart and I know they get busy but the customer service has been great so far. I will never go to CVS again if I can help it!! read more
