Wrong meds given 2 times also lead me to believe that my meds were coming in for 2 weeks still no show!!

Nice CVS located in the Styertown shopping plaza in Clifton. It's pretty much just a usual CVS inside, plenty of over the counter medications, beauty care, some food and grocery, and seasonal items. The reason it gets four stars is because of the pharmacy. The head pharmacist seems to have been there forever....lol....but that's good because they have always been great. My prescriptions are filled quick and the text notification is pretty convenient. They are always ready to answer any questions and are very professional. There is a lot of parking but sometimes the lot can be very busy. read more

I've been a CVS customer for over 15 years, and after today I'm not ever coming back. Having my doctor call Walgreens and switching to them. These guys are insufferable here. I have to tell them every month not to fill my script through the insurance because it doesn't cover it and they do it EVERY month even after I call and they say they aren't going to. Then I have to wait a half hour to get it. I'm done after this time. They also have to order your script every other month which pushes back your script by two days every time. So done with this place. read more

This CVS is close to home (0.5 miles away - walking distance) so that's why I go there for my Rx. It's small, so doesn't have as many products as the 24-hr CVS stores. It's clean, not many employees and does have 1 self-checkout kiosk. read more

CVS Pharmacist Manager Donna and her staff are highly competent with prescriptions and insurance issues over other CVS stores in the area. I like that the Pharmacy is open to 11 PM on weekday evenings. The pharmacy appears to be a lot more organized with more staff. The long waiting lines are a thing of the past. Along with the pharmacy, the general CVS staff is very friendly and helpful. I always go into CVS for one thing and end up with many items (LOL...) CVS offers many discounts using their card. Flu shots are available here. CVS is located Styertowne Shopping Center. Lots of parking is available. read more

Came in to CVS to receive my covid19 vaccination. Everything was seamless. Checked in everyone was very friendly. The line was quick the pharmacy assistants were very reassuring, helpful and friendly. They explained everything and chatted with you while you waited after your shot. Good CVS location. Conveniently located in strip mall off Route 3. Good parking with knowledgeable associates. 24 hour pharmacy. CVS always runs weekly coupons that you should use. Only competitive for non-prescription items when on sale or used with coupons. read more

Store manager Shannon is the rudest. Easier to go to Walgreens across the street. CVS hires people who know nothing about customer service. If I'm spending money going to the store, you need to not screw up my order, over charge me and then tell me to have my bank decline the order. What kind of stupidness is that. Do your job right. I read online that walks are welcome any times for a COVID vaccine. I went around 9 am because of my schedule, they weren't busy there was no one waiting in line. I asked if I could take the COVID vaccine. She had to ask her boss she told her ask if they have an appointment I said no. She waited for few seconds and said uh walk ins should be at 11. At least say that on you website before you make people come in. read more

I did not have a good experience here. However, a women in the front behind the register was the only good I can take out of this. She greeted me when I came in and left, the two stars are for her. I wish she was the one who checked me out, unfortunately she was assisting another customer. I waited in line entirely to long. Only one cashier was working and the one customer being helped was indecisive about her purchase. I waited patiently. I look over near the register to find that there were two other employees behind the register chit chatting. I wondered why they didn't jump in to help get the lines down. I finally got called by one of the cashiers , his name was Howard. I never in my entire experience at CVS been asked for a phone number right away. I normally get asked if "I have a CVS card". I was a bit taken back. I told him I have a card. He insisted I but in my number. I never worked with someone as difficult or unclear as to why I had to put in my number in the device. He refused to answer my questions regarding this matter and was very snippy with me. I was very unhappy with how I was treated by Howard. I would probably never visit this location again. read more

I'm kind of surprised by the variability of the customer service here. Some of the pharmacists are super helpful and friendly, others will hang up the phone on you when your conversation is done without saying "goodbye" or anything remotely resembling a polite call ending, and seem constantly horrified to be at work. So it's a bit of a gamble. But generally, I have been able to accomplish what was necessary here. The last time I was there, I noticed that things weren't in the greatest shape... bits of trash on the floor, a lot of dirt and grime. But you can't beat the fact that both the store and pharmacy are 24 hours. And as far as CVS stores in this area go, it's actually pretty big and spacious. read more

Some things are good, friendly employees and, of course, the 24 hour convenience. However, my doctor and I were recently very unhappy with them. Over the phone, I was given instructions by my doctor to take two doses of a prescribed medication for the first time. When calling it in, my doctor decided to give me the higher dose and told the pharmacist to be sure to tell me to only take one dose, and not the two that he originally told me. That message was NOT passed along, and I had a severe vomiting reaction to the high concentration of the medication. When I called the doctor back, he was (rightfully) pissed when he asked me about how many doses I took and I told him that the pharmacist did not pass his message along. This was not a good experience, and I am very concerned that health care professionals could be so careless for such important matter. read more

This is the worst cvs. Poor customer service. They hate their lives here. Always a long line. Don't know if they are understaffed or what. 1 cashier for 10 customers. The one star is for their products. They do offer more varieties of choices than Walgreen across the street. But I would go to Walgreen than cvs anytime. read more

My wife broke her back, has metal rods and screws in her back, she is disabled and and requires medication. Every time we go to fill it they treat her like a criminal even calling her doctor to be sure it's okay. If she has a script signed by her doctor and my insurance is saying it's okay, why are they playing the prescription police and making her feel the way they do. It's unprofessional and leaves mw feeling like looking for a new place to fill a prescription. Where did the professionalism go. It will be our last visit to this store and most likely I will switch to a new pharmacy all together. I do agree with the previous reviewer when he said the only good thing is that they are open 24 hours. Sometimes that's helped when looking for medicine late for one or my children. I've leaned that the Walgreens in Belleville is also open 24 hours, they have my business for now. read more

When QuickCheck in Passaic closed its pharmacy, I thought that it would take a lot of hopping around until I found a pharmacy that I was happy with. What I found is that the CVS Pharmacy in Styretown is staffed by pharmacists who are professional, knowledgeable, efficient, caring and extremely pleasant. I was apprehensive about dealing with another cold, bottom line oriented, vampire squid company, chewing up and swallowing all the smaller competition. What I found was that CVS's computers have done an amazing job of making the conversion to using CVS painless. read more

This is the first time that I've waited more than an hour at this pharmacy.. I hope they would communicate more with the customers.. A lot of people are waiting and my doctor already sent of ahead of time.. If they cant finish it at the time that was promised I hope they can just say its not gonna be done on time.. I worked at a pharmacy for 3 years I know how hard it is when its backed up but I make sure I tell my customers that we wont be able to finish it as promised.. If they get mad ok what can I do.. I'm surprised by all of the negative reviews for this branch of CVS. I've used this CVS for 12+ years. When Acme's pharmacy closed, my prescriptions were transferred here and they have been my family's pharmacy ever since. We've experienced consistently great customer service at this location and I appreciate that the store is open 24/7. It's really our go-to place for unexpected late night purchases and snacks. The lines sometimes have ~5+ people, but my experience has been that they still move quickly and usually another register is opened up if the line continues to grow. Even with a new Walgreens built next door, I see no reason to change our pharmacy. read more

I was disappointed when they cut the prmacy hours from 24/7 and the new hours aren't that great. (I believe the close as early as 6 on Saturday, 5 on Sunday). But the pharmacists here are very knowledgeable and efficient and go out of their way to help you. I recently got a call informing me that the price of one of my medications was very high before I had it filled. The rest of the store is okay, neat and well stocked. There is also a young lady named Shay that is a beauty consultant but also walks around the store asking if you need assistance. She is very sweet and helpful. Nice touch. read more

Open 24 hours. It's got a large selection and usually anything you might need. It does just what it's intended for. No complaints.

There is almost always a long wait to have your prescription filled. Wait times of one hour or more are common. The staff are not knowledgeable or helpful. They kept calling me to refill a prescription every 30 days even after I begged them not to several times. I tried to explain to the pharmacy technicians that it was a PRN medication and did not need to be filled every 30 days. That was the way it was prescribed and it was written on the bottle. But they were unable to comprehend that. The only good thing about this pharmacy is that it is open 24 hours. read more

I can say one good thing and that is the pharmacy is open 24 hours - 7 days a week. Pharmacy staff is incompetent, unorganized, and unprofessional. Examples: They have handed me someone else's prescription, the wrong quantity of pills (I now count them there before leaving), called me to tell me my prescription is ready for pickup and when I show up it is not ready, there is a language barrier with some of the staff as English is not their first language, and they will leave you standing there while they work without even acknowledging you. read more

OMG, the pharmacy is always backed up, I only go here because it's one of the rare Rx's that carry my meds without having to order and wait. They do try to help but with thier work load they have messed up on my Rx's many times and I advise anyone who goes here do double check their pickup before walking away or risk not only have the wrong amount completely or the wrong meds altogether and you'll need to wait in a long line again once you walk away. Parking lot is typical of the arwa and designed horribly, take caution as I have almost been killed by people speeding through and not looking. read more

Pharmacist staff is downright nasty. Stay clear of a younger girl named Bharma. She was wrong on a situation with me and kept coming at me to try to prove otherwise. That is terrible customer service. I am 100% sure which store a brought a rx to!! Regardless, she should have just yes'd me to death and apologized because she is in a customer based business. The next day I even had a nasty voicemail on my phone from a cvs employee also saying the same thing as "Bharma." Guess they need to cover themselves. read more

The store itself is nice, but the pharmacist I dealt with was very rude- he was rude to three customers on the phone, the woman in the front of me, and me. He seemed angry about having to fill prescriptions. After he angrily told me that I would have to wait an hour to get my prescription filled, I just went to another nearby CVS and got it taken care of by the friendly pharmacist, easy peasy. read more

I have been using CVS Pharmacy since 2007 in four states, and this location is the only one to consistently not apply my copay Rx card to every one of my Rx orders. This means I am then asked to step aside out of line, wait for one of the pharmacists to retake my information again, adjust the bill, and then I can leave. Switched to Stop N Shop, they have my Rx ready and properly billed each and everytime. Oh, the staff at this location are unprofessional. read more

Hi, I was just in your Allwood Road, Clifton, NJ location. I had entered the store at 11:30pm with my parents. My father who is 83 years old had to use the restroom shortly after we arrived and I was told by the supervisor that the restroom was closed when the pharmacy closed and I had to take my father downstairs to Dunkin donuts. I told him my father can't walk downstairs so I will take him home and come back. I arrived back around 11:45 or 11:50pm at the latest and overheard the supervisor and staff disrespectfully talking about my father as the sales clerk by the name of Breanna indicated to her supervisor that she needed to use the restroom downstairs and asked if they wanted anything from Dunkin Donuts. Gary (the supervisor) acted like he was making fun of my father and told his staff "I hope that man peed in his pants...because he couldn't walk down the stairs." Breanna replied "Don't say that Gary." Gary replied to her "what can I say I am a bad person." And they all went on to laugh. I knew their names because they addressed each other. I called and spoke to both of them so they know how disrespectful it is to hear a supervisor talk sh*t about your 83 year old father. My dad is a retired physician who practiced for over 40 years with many accolades and has sent many patients to CVS over those years to fill their prescriptions. How dare he disrespect him! How can a supervisor like this set an example for his staff? This behavior is disturbing and really uncalled for. I am beside myself. Gary thinks his apology on the phone is acceptable but it is not. He is a disgraceful human being. I would like someone to contact me so I can report this. read more
