I am a prescriber. This Walgreens, at Van Houten Ave, is the worst! I call in to prescribe a medication and the person answering, after being on hold forever, blurts out some guttural noise (not even close to a word) and throws the call on hold for another interminable period of time. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. What's happened with business practice in this country? It's just awful and we SHOULD DEMAND BETTER. read more

This store should be stripped of thier gift card selling rights. I understand that the store has policies for gift cards however make it make sense sell a card that is reputable and that can back up customer service . My son purchased a gift card with his hard earned money and the card was already compromised. The managers gave me the run around and directed me to reach out to Vanilla gift cards !! Which will take up to 90 days to resolve. The next morning I went back to the store pulled all the cards that had the same sticker as the one that I purchased - and told the manager prove me wrong open this gift card in front of me and you will see that the numbers on these cards are tampered with Sure enough I was right !!! Walgreens do better remove the gift cards from your store or place them under lock and and key as you do with your soaps and detergents. Shame on you walgreens !! read more

Came for 2 hour rapid test for my international flight. Took over 4 hours. Worst part was the lab report shows the employee did not enter the sample for 3.5 hours after the sample swab was taken. In turn, this delay combined w/ the international travel approvals that aren't automated but want as close to travel date as possible costed me thousands of dollars in non-refundable air fare & hotel reservations & ultimately had to miss the entire trip. 4 hours for a 2 hr rapid test?! False advertising & completely incompetent. Side note this store is desolate & not a high volume store so they cannot even use that as an excuse. read more

This Walgreens has a great selection of seasonal, cosmetics, self care, and a big pharmacy with a huge selection of medicines. Good customer service and also has been remodeled not that long ago. Love coming here not only because it's nearby but I could usually find what I'm looking for and I love Walgreens reward program as well. It's free and quick to sign up and getting points is pretty easy and you could save a lot. I've had up to 20 dollars in points at one time! Not sure why the low reviews but I've been coming here for 10+ years and haven't had an issue. Great store 10/10 read more

I had a confirmed appointment for a flu vaccine at 1:45 pm today at their location in Van Houten Ave, Clifton, NJ. I came in at 1:25 and the person at the counter said the one in charge of giving vaccinations is on lunch break. I showed her my email confirmation but she said the person will be back and told me to return at 2:05. She added that the person always takes her lunch break at that time and that no one else can administer the vaccine. No explanation, no apologies. How can these people be so incompetent and insensitive that they think they could just waste other people's time? read more

Just called and was directed to the store after nthe automated. Only was refilling 4 scripts. I was sent to matthew B who proceeded to be quite rude to me. he spoke over me, didnt seem to care to listen to my request. After a few minutes he said' if you would let me speak" only while i was making a request to sink my dates so they would all be filled togetehr. he also proceeded to negativly talk about the automated system and said it is betetr to use the web: well, some prefer the autopmated, and why does it even exist if it is not going to work. His tone was oevr bearing, and he was more cpnerned about what he was over talking about then actually listening to the customers needs. That is key here: customers needs. i was calm and direct and spoke only about what I needed and was requesting. He was dismissive, as if i was an idiot. This is unacceptable. Went here last night to buy some medication, I was very sick. I was browsing, looking sick as a dog & suddenly the manager passed by & I heard a CODE 99. I know it means theft so I was shocked on how they JUDGE ME! All the employees kept looking at me, and I just walked out and went to CVS. Now my family switched over to CVS and are way more happier and disappointed on how they judge of stealing. read more

It concerns when stores like big lots is protecting its associates by giving them gloves l, masks, and even put a plastic glass between them and the customer because of the close interaction. I can't talk for Walgreens in general but I can say a lot for this crazy store. I went for 2 years in this location for my medications. The staff here is very unprofessional and they don't even know how to do their job. If you go there they always going to say that you have issues with your insurance and they have to call. Every month the same thing. I don't know what they want to say with insurance issues but las week I was talking with my doctor that I always have problems when I go there, he said change the pharmacy because they don't know how to do their job. I changed the pharmacy and I never had any problem with them. I used to like walgreens but now I hate them. Even though I'm sick I had to get stressed every month from them. Horrible! I have been shopping here for years and to be honest , it's getting worse ! What I mean by that is i have to wait for 45 mins for a simple prescription that usually takes 10-15mins , while the RUDEST staff ever just ignores everyone on line trying to get their attention as for how long is it going to take . I don't like to bash anyone, but everyone in that store from cashiers to PHARMACY staff is plain rude, and believe me when I say that they don't care about their patrons . Horrible. Going thru crazy pain after getting some work done, doctor called in a prescription and got here in about 20 minutes to pick it up, some guy at the drive thru said it's gonna take another 15 minutes and told me to park and he'll wave me down to pull up when it's ready. It was past 15 minutes so i pulled up and a kid this time goes it's gonna be 15 minutes the doctor just called mean while the doctor called in front of me before i even left the office. read more

Why do people get into a business they know nothing about? After an interesting experience with Kodak Gallery, I called Walgreens to find out if they know what weight photo paper they use for their photo cards that they print for Snapfish. Guess what? They don't! The guy who answered the phone was nice enough to go check the packaging that the photo paper comes in but even that didn't specify what kind of paper was inside. I guess if you plan on ordering from them and you actually care about the quality, you will have to go there in person and see for yourself first. read more

Recently moved from Jersey city and needed to pic up a rx from.my old Walgreens ...rude as ever they were zero help after telling me they had to order my rx it would be ready in a day I went back 4 days later and they never ordered it like they said they would. I called this.clifton location and what a difference ! Gia was so kind and helped me out . The location didn't have my rx but said the carlstadt location had it I told her I would go get it there. She told me no they would get it ready and she would have it for me in the clifton location by the morning :) what a polite girl and honestly so sweet. She heard the frustration in my voice and went above and beyond ! Ty Gia so happy this will be my new go to location for prescriptions :) read more

It's an excellent convenience store, close by. You always find what you need and expect to to find an a drug store and plus. Staff there are always friendly and willing to help. I don't know why people complain about absurd matter like type of professional picture paper this is convenience store no a photo lab, if they want that quality go and pay for that quality and then ask, and complain if they want. read more

I wrote a review for the pharmacy Dept but I guess it was never posted. This pharmacy is closer to my home BUT I stopped going because they lack good customer service. To me they are shorthanded, they are slow, lines are long either inside or the drive-thru. Their consultation window is not even available in certain days or they don't use it any more. I took my business somewhere else and I am very happy with another Walgreens store. read more

several experiences at this location leads me to believe they like overcharging senior citizens for their prescriptions. their retail prices far exceed any other pharmacy i the area. not willing to review yr medication and outright unprofessional attitude and demanor to people over 65. read more

I am honestly considering a civil lawsuit for harassment against this store. My wife has been repeatedly falsely accused of stealing from this establishment. She has been approached three times by employees between the hours of 7-10pm and told to show them her purse. Tonight this happened again and I called the store asking for manager. The manager was the one who demanded her purse tonight, which my wife allowed her to search (as intrusive as that is.) After finding nothing the manager said she must have put it somewhere else. My wife showed there was nothing in her pockets and clearly had no merchandise on her. The manager then said that she must have ditched it somewhere "knowing" (which she didn't) she was being watched. No apology after this entire ordeal which sent her home in tears. I called the store and spoke to this manager who confirmed her story (stopped, manager searched bag, found nothing on her person.) The manager told me as well that she did not find anything on her and "she must have abandoned it somewhere." The closest thing we got to an apology was you can call 1800Walgreens if you'd like to discuss further. I damn sure will be, as well as contacting the district manager and I will be seeking legal council as this is a repeated behavior and seems to be targeted harassment. Do not shop at a store like this until they fix their culture. Horribly uncivilized and frankly unAmerican. read more
