This review is for their drive thru pharmacy. Excellent service! Love their update of your rx and notifications when things are ready. Their app is easy to used and the pharmacy always answers my questions and is accommodating. Never have to wait long when using the drive thru & if I need to pickup an over the counter medication when getting a rx they are super nice about it. The parking lot and store could use some sprucing up but it is in a convenient location and I have no complaints about their service. read more

I came to pick up my one hour photo cards two hours after I placed an online order. Yes I understand it's the holiday season and they're busy. When I got to the counter in the photo department I had to stand there and wait while the two young women finished up their conversation before I was acknowledged. My cards weren't ready and the young woman who waited on me said she had to change the paper in the machine. I asked her how long would it take to make the cards and she told me 45 minutes. Last time I ordered a canvas print here and I never heard from them I went to the store and this was a few days after ordering it. Part of the photo was coming out blurry which was not a big deal to the way it was going to come out. But the thing is not one bit of communication from anyone about the "problem" with the blurriness. read more

This might be the worst pharmacy by far.i got a text the prescription us ready for pick up. We went there. She said they didn't have instructions from the doctor how should I take it, so she has to call the doctor. I called today make sure they have the medicine. She said they don't have any medicine for me. I called back and spoke to someone else. I told her I have the message from wallgreens 2 medicines are ready for pick up. She said" oh yes, that was send to Tenafly store". She said she will transfer and we can go to pick up. My husband went, as I am on oxygen 24/7 and I don't drive, she said to him she dosent have the medicine. Just one , not that antibiotics that I really need. My husband showed her the messages from Walgreens that the medicine is ready for pick up . She didn't even wanted to look at it. So, I called my doctor and they sent the medicine to CVS. I answered i wanted to have the medicine filled. Then I get text from CVS it's too soon to refill the medicine. What?. Then I get messages from Walgreens ththat medicine is ready for pick up. So , CVS pharmacy had to call them and transfer the medicine to them. I have never seen anything like this. Like, they are selling apples and oranges. It's medicine. And this is not a first time. I will report them even further I just have to find out where. Funny thing was when she asked me "who sent the prescription ". I was going to say my auto mechanic. It's a good size pharmacy and parking lot. They have a large veritiy of items here in the beauty and food sections. But some medical items are overpriced, so I would double-check with the local Shop Rite and compare first before I buy. I like this place mostly for my covid, flu shots basically, you can make an appointment online, fill out your form and just take the shot when you are there. read more

Was very surprised in my latest order of pictures. Ordered a lot of pictures for photo albums gift for friends. Some pictures were blurry some pictures were not. Then you don't have all the pictures in order. I usually order pictures from this location majority of which was excellent. But I guess as all businesses , this location Lacks consistency. We went there as walk in for COVID-19 booster shot and they had some spare available for that day and the lady was so nice to accommodate me. She did not fuss about not making an appointment and just walking in at 6 PM for booster. This is the worst pharmacy in the area! The only reason I had to come here was bc my health insurance won't accept another one. They are never ready... the lines take forever... the refills take forever usually have to drive back hours later! Elva, Shift Manager/Lead is knowledgeable and was able to correctly refund payment to a store card and my credit card because I had to return an item that was faxed in error when it was manually entered in the system because it was not picked up. When I went home after I purchased this critical item, I had compared this purchase to the same in-store purchases at Walgreens in Lyndhurst and Rutherford which did not charge tax, and I questioned the tax added by this location. Instead of an apology for their error and acknowledging that it should not have happened, when I asked if the item should have had tax, I was given a tutorial of how it was done incorrectly because the item wasn't in the system and therefore had to be added manually which triggered a tax when all I wanted was an apology and confirmation that it should not have been. I did not need the explanation and the attitude when I was trying to confirm that the error was caused by a manual entry. That's all I really needed. I didn't need you to continue the walk through of the error but your team/staff might. I am still out the item that I needed, but I will no longer feel comfortable going to this location with the type of service provided. Also, the cashier was preoccupied sorting chocolate/candy on the shelf instead of helping me when I was standing by the cash registers, and when he was helping me with my return, he was yawning and seemed thoroughly disinterested in what he was going. Then he seemed to have an issue with contacting Management to assist when he was only going to be able to return the entire payment in gift card when it partially was paid in credit card claiming that he couldn't do it because a majority of the payment was made with gift cards which was not correct. It was just lazy and apathetic customer service. Have had some good, passable, helpful service and thought a 24 hour Walgreens would be my go-to option until I encountered Brian, a manager, that did not seem to care to help with the multiple online returns I had and/or know that if a online order was shipped separately the invoices would only have partial totals. When I explained that since I was not sure why it was such a challenge to find the online orders in my account, he had the nerve/attitude to advise that he knows how it works, but he could not find the partially shipped order and did not care to ask for the full order total to find my order so he concluded he could not find that particular online order. To top it all off, he claimed that it wouldn't make sense for him to process the return if he couldn't find the order. I went to another Walgreens and processed the online return without any issue or attitude. I did have several online returns I needed to process at this location, but that did not give him the right to act like he did not need to provide good, helpful customer service. Also, my curbside pick-up was incorrect. Thank goodness I checked the items I received in store. I was given the stapled package for a curbside pick-up order I had previously canceled. I'm sure if I had left the store, I would have encountered an issue correcting the order. Sad to know that curbside pick-up orders require verification when the package is stapled/sealed and should only be a quick exchange. read more

I am not usually a fan of drugstores - but this Walgreens is different. The staff at the beauty counter keeps a current book of coupons and likes to help its clients find great deals. The location is new and very clean with great parking. The store and pharmacy are open 24 hours a day with a drive through. They sell general drug store stuff (groceries, toys, cosmetics, pharmacy, etc...). This review is really all about the coupons they keep at the beauty counter - make sure to checkout all cosmetics at the beauty counter! read more

The store overall is great. The clerks are extremely helpful. Had a clerk go to the back to see if any other boxes of the hair dye was in a bin somewhere for me. However, their site to store photo processing is pretty bad. Half my photos came out way darker than the file originally was. Good thing I got a special price on them. Half of them were undetectable what the photo was. read more

This is my local Walgreens so I'm there a lot. Other than the items I get from our insurance company's online pharmacy, my family uses this pharmacy for all our Rx needs. We also use it for it "general store" and "convenience store" items. They are open 24/7, including the pharmacy, which has a drive thru. What's not to like? read more

What's to like about this place? One of the store associates saw me reach into my pocket while shopping yesterday, rushed over to me, and rifled through my basket to ensure I wasn't stealing. In case you're curious, I was pulling out my credit card so I could ultimately go PURCHASE the things in my basket. No apology for this treatment either. Also, I came here in flu season once to get an immunization, but I was really concerned about the professionalism of the woman who was planning to give me my shot. She did not seem professional, and could not stop laughing as she was preparing the shot. It concerned me so much I aborted the whole mission - doesn't help that I'm terrified of needles. Yesterday was the last straw. It's a farther walk from my house, but I'll ONLY be shopping at the Carlstadt CVS from now on. Absolute worst drug store experience I've ever had. read more

Nice, newer store that is open 24 hours. One of the few, if not only one, that is 24 hours in the area. I come here for general items, like greeting cards etc.. For prescriptions I use my local independent pharmacy, the chain stores put many mom and pops out of business so I try and support the ones that are left. read more

The two best things about this location are the excellent pharmacy service and the drive-thru. Be careful in the parking lot, many drivers neglect common sense and rush through like it's the apocalypse. Good selection in cosmetics, better prices at nearby Harmon however. They are oPen 24 hours, and I've used them when my kid was sick late at night. read more

I am so switching to shop rite the pharmacy department in Wallington.The pharmacist( at Walgreens in Carlstadt ) thinks she's a doctor! If a doctor gives you a script, you should be able to fill it and be on your way. But not Christine, she had to call all over the world to make sure my " diagnosis " is correct. It's like Really?. ...it's none of your business about medication that I take..you would think I was a Meth head looking for benadryl. She was so frustrated and nasty that she called over two other managers Brittany and Angie...both managers were staring at me with these grins on not saying a word when I'm trying to explain to them what's going on. To say the least the managers said nothing and did nothing to help the problem which was Christine with her nasty and frustrated way in with dealing with customers. That's just the first scenario. Second scenario my husband had surgery that day. We drop off a prescription, go to pick it up a couple hours later and they only give us one prescription. My husband was at home recovering at the time so I had went pick up the prescription thinking this is all he needed. I come home and he tells me there are two prescriptions on that paper. I call Walgreens and I don't know the gentleman's name ( very rude) and told me " oh they didn't read it right.". Not even a sorry, and NO come right over and we'll fill it for you immediately.. . Instead of being sympathetic towards my situation he says to me all " I'll see what I can do in 45 minutes.". I said to him oh yeah "you better have it done in 10 minutes " then he proceeded to say to me " I'll see what I can do it 45 minutes" again, and hung up on me.. . But wait there's a third scenario and mind you this happened all in one and a half days. It was July 6th and 7th 2015. 3rd scenario. I go in there to buy a quart of milk, I come home it's sour. I don't think I've ever bought sour milk in the years. Its up to the store to check their expiration dates. Granted I do check my expiration date when I shop,but I was in a hurry that still is not an excuse for me to have sour milk. So with this all being said I went in and talked to an extremely nice store manager named Matt. He was so apologetic and professional, I almost felt bad for him telling him that I'm taking my business elsewhere. But there are too many choices around here to be abused by pharmacy department and get spolied food. Goodbye Walgreens in Carlstadt I hope you really really improve your management team. This store is convenient. However, I frequently notice that many of the shelf tags don't have the sale prices. For example, a box of Crest whitestrips were on sale at another Walgreens and I neglected to buy them there. At this Walgreens, they were the regular price. When I asked the clerk who came to the shelf (they were locked up) she said no if it was marked down there would be a sticker. I put them in my basket anyway and lo and behold, they rang up on sale. Same situation with several other items that were listed in that weeks circular. This has happened on more than one visit. I'll still visit but they really need to step up their game. read more

The pharmacy here is the WORST. They have TWICE failed to fill a prescription in a timely manner, letting it sit for days only to notify us that it would then need to be ordered. In the meantime, the medication is running out, we're about to go on vacation, and my son is about to experience a disruption in treatment due ENTIRELY TO THIS PHARMACY'S INCOMPETENCE. The script was brought to them days in advance, and we made sure to ask whether it was on hand and would be available by our departure day. We were assured it would. Only to find out, two days later, that it had not been filled, the medicine was NOT on hand, and that it would NOT make the date we needed it by. Making matters worse, the awful pharmacy tech assured us it would be available that Thursday. "It's Thursday now," we inform her. "Oh," she says. Silence. Save your time and money. This is, hands down, the worst, most mismanaged pharmacy I've ever used, and shouldn't be trusted by anyone. The very least one should expect is promptness and, needless to say, a staff that LITERALLY KNOWS WHAT DAY OF THE WEEK IT IS. A store full of buffoons. read more

I have always loved Walgreens, but Christine has helped me with an issue that I had between my insurance and doctors office. It was a mess and I was so frustrated when Christine took over the problem and talked to both my doctors office and my insurance company. Seriously, I could have kissed her thru the phone. I have always loved Walgreen's as a general store/pharmacy but this one takes the cake. Every time I have visited the pharmacy the staff has been exceptionally nice and helpful. Walgreens Pharmacy gives me the wrong medication and they don't admit it, this morning they have given me the wrong Diabetic Test Strips and they didn't admit it! the woman on the phone was very rude to me and to the doctor's staff who told her that she made a mistake, my doctor has to go out of their way and call my insurance company to override this and give me the right Diabetic Test Strips for the machine i have! i am frustrated with Walgreens pharmacy and the way their mistakes and the waiting time i spend just to pick up my medication. it has to be a better way read more

Don't get me wrong, there are perks to this Walgreens. Open 24 hours, staff is VERY friendly and helpful. But today, for the FOURTH time in a row, they have messed up my prescriptions, claiming they gave me all of my refills at once which is not the case. I have severe heartburn and stomach ulcers, and without my medication I'm miserable. So I guess here goes another day off work in pain... So disappointed! I ordered 6 calendars on line. Once I got home and checked them over, 2 were completely a mess and incorrect. I called the store and was told to give him an hour and he would remake them correctly. My husband went over 2 hours later and they weren't done. He waited close to another 1/2 hour -- one was corrected, but the other was wrong. He was told that he'd have to come back tomorrow for it. Now this is the THIRD time it would be done. The worst Walgreens I've ever been to. Only 3 out of all the employees there are helpful and deserve to not be included in this. I won't name them by name but they are the three most friendliest and helpful people I've come across in retail. The rest of the employees are either undertrained or flat out rude. This store shows that if you don't take the time to train employees it will show. Boy does it show at this store. I live only a few blocks away so I frequent the store a lot and at all hours of the day/night. 90% of the visits no matter the time, there is always a line. Not a line like 2-3 people deep and 2-3 people at the registers making sure things go quickly. But a line 7-10 people deep with only one person on the register. Regardless if that person calls for help no one comes and then the one person working on the register has a bad attitude. I understand because if you were to walk through the store you would see the manager having a POW-wow with 3-5 other employees standing around listening to him. It's not him training or helping these employees because I go there enough to know who's new and who's been there a while. It's always the same manager (who thinks he's gods gift to human kind) talking to of course, the younger female employees. Even when I've asked them and tried to break up the "meeting" I get attitude from them and end up looking rude because I politely interrupted them to ask for help. Every manager treats the customers like shit. Like they are doing them a favor helping the customers out. Every employee, apart from the 3 good ones, management included are untrained and in their early twenties with not enough experience to even run the register. I once had to pay with a check and no one except one man, who hasn't even been there that long, but is one of the good ones had to come to the front after I had to go get him because the manager and cashier had no clue how to process the check. He helped me out and everything was completely fine. Anywayenough ranting. This store sucks there's always a long line regardless of the time of day and not all employees know everything that they should. The training of these employees especially management is terrible.
