This is the worst cvs I have ever been at. The staff has no idea what they are doing they don't even know how to make a simple same day photo books. I have spent over an hour in here twice. Talked to multiple managers had one staff member tell me she can't give me photo books for free just the prints... I never asked for free photo books it's what I ordered that apparently you have no idea how to make. This place is seriously a lost cause, and a sad excuse for employees. read more

Ugh. This place is frustrating. It's a typical CVS, so I have no complains about the products. However, the staff is pretty terrible. They have self-check outs and the employees basically ignore every customer. I've waited in a HUGE line at the self check out while three employees standing behind the checkout counter chatted and laughed the entire time. Really? Really?! read more

Ever since I moved down the street from this CVS I have despised having to use this CVS for my pharmacy. These people are awful!!! I even called them once asking if I could take two medications together and one of the pharmacists said yes, you sure can. 5 or 6 days later after I was waking up seeing blurry and dizzy in the middle of the night, I called my doctor very concerned and she said stop taking those two immediately, they are known for people hallucinating when mixing. On top of this, it always takes 20 minutes minimum (even in the drive thru!) to get an Rx. Moving in a week and couldn't be happier to not use them anymore!! read more

Wrost customer service I've encountered in a very long time, literally waited 10mins to be greeted and acknowledge. I understand it's a busy day in the drive in for people to pick up an Rx. A simple "Hello, I'll be with you in a moment" goes a long way. The lady behind the counter made me feel like me being sick was an unconvinance. The cashiers in the front of the store however are always awesome and usually friendly, which makes the whole thing really disconnected. read more

This place is THE WORST place to go to, staff are I competent and rude, machines don't work...I advise to NEVER come to this location.

The pharmacy's manager is the worst!! she always has bad attitude and even when there is no customers waiting in line....she wont acknowledge that you are there standing for 15 minutes like a moron!! The when I say hello!!! I'm here.....she gets an attitude. You need to lead by example in front of you co-workers ....if you can't no longer do that and be nice to the consumers like myself and everyone else....go HOME!! read more

I really hate to give a one star review but in the case of CVS I have to. I have been there 3 times counting today and it will be my last. I don't mind that a store has self check out for those who want to self check out but I work to hard and then spend my hard earned money at CVS only to have to check my self out and bag my purchases. The line is very long and there is ALWAYS a problem with at least one of the self check out lanes. I usually go to the Jewel on Des Plaines and Kinzie and they could not be nicer. I will stay closer to home from now on. read more

I hate this place. We try to plan so we never have to go here. Long waits for the pharmacy - long lines for check out. But the real pisser is that they regularly run out of obscure things like milk, butter and Tylenol. That and for a nice neighborhood it attracts a level of scummy customers that make you want to lock your car doors...perhaps its the booze that brings 'em...but it's a nasty - ill managed store. read more

This CVS is a consistent neighborhood quick stop for the basic needs. They always have my milk in stock, and it helps that it's open 24 hours. Haven't had to use the drive-thru pharmacy, but it's a great option to have, and there's always ample parking. read more

The friendliest CVS ever and the cashier Anne was very helpful. My cvs card doesn't work sometimes. And she was the only who explained me what to do. Oh and there's wide choice of cosmetics which is great. read more

CVS Pharmacy, especially the 771 N Ogden Avenue, is always helpful and proactive to provide coupons and alternate generic options to save on overpriced Rx medicines by the drug companies. I have a W**gr**ns at the corner near my home (0.2 miles) but I travel (an extra 1.5 miles) to this CVS because of the costumer service. I feel they are always conscientious about my $$'s even when I don't think to ask for alternatives & savings. My most recent experience, I received a call from Anna, the Pharmacist, and she was the only person staffed in the pharmacy at the time. She called because she noticed the high cost of the drug was not covered under insurance and she wanted to make sure I still wanted to fill it. I said no, and she recommended I research a manufacturer's coupon. I did and found one which would save me over $400!! I called back to make sure I didn't find fraud (an ad) rather than a real coupon. She was very busy (I could hear), and the hold times were long, but each time a very cheerful person was on the other end. Turns out the coupon I found was only valid at the other drug store previously mentioned. I let her know my coupon was only good today and my doctor's office was closed. She suggested that the other drug store could get it transferred to them but I would have to initiate it. I contacted the closest W**gr**ns to me @ Michigan/Chicago Avenues and the sharp person on the other end let me know she could do it but it would be a couple of hours. When I asked her if we could check the coupon to make sure it was in fact valid, so I didn't waste their time/drugs to fill it, and my time and energy to get there, she told me several times no I'd have to come in person with the coupon. I found it hard to believe, especially since the Pharmacist at CVS was able to do it, so I insisted. She put me on hold for about 15 seconds and came back and said, what she said previously, I'd need to come in with the coupon. I had almost told my doctor, to call in the Rx to this drug store because it was close to my home and a snow storm was due...NOW, I remember! This is why I ALWAYS get my Rx filled at CVS and I will continue to do so. Thank you CVS and especially thank you Anna for being SO great! read more

Certainly an improvement from the previous business, Osco, this CVS is open 24-7 and sells booze up to around 2AM. The typical wait for check-out is about five minutes, and the staff overall is friendly and helpful. Beware if you use a CVS card for discounts, your receipt will be printed with multiple coupons making it 3-4 feet in length. I highly doubt I'll ever spend $50 on CVS brand products just to save an additional $10. read more

The employees at this CVS are incredibly lazy. This location has self-checkout stations, so they never have a cashier station open. They honestly are taking complete advantage of self-checkout machines and force all customers to go to self check-out. Even though I always see employees in the front of the store standing around and talking about nothing, none of them are rarely courteous enough to open up a cash station for me and personally ring up my items. The so-called "door greeter" actually just stands there to direct you to the self-check out station, because none of them are actually going to do their jobs, go behind the station and actually HELP you get out of the store faster. I guess they think because they have self-check out machines, employees no longer have to do their jobs. read more

Very nice pharmacy staff, but incompetent. Unfortunately, being nice doesn't cover everything when you are dealing with medications that can cause very severe problems if mishandled. I will never go to another CVS again, particularly this one, for prescriptions. Problems: In February I received someone else's medication and had to bring it back. In May I set up the auto-fill option. Twice now I have gotten calls saying they are ready and when I go in, they are not ready. Fine, but what's the point of the auto-fill calls? Also, despite asking multiple times to change my contact information, they are still calling my parents in Ohio (I haven't lived there in 5 years). This week (July 7), I was charged for 3 months of pills and received 1, so had to go back. Also this week, I asked for both of my prescriptions, but they said one needed an authorization, even though my bottle said there was one more. I called my doctor and she called CVS to refill it. I went back and she said it had been ready all along, but she thought there was a change. Why would she think that if neither me nor my doctor said there would be a change? Excuse for incompetency I guess. I am now behind on my medication by 2 days, which is ok for me, but for more serious medication, this could be a real issue. They say you should choose your pharmacist as closely as you would your physician, advice I will now heed. I highly recommend moving your prescriptions away from CVS. Even if they are nice, a medication error can be very, very serious. Please don't support a company that has as many issues as this one (look up CVS complaints online and you'll see they have nation-wide issues), especially on something as important as medication. read more

I found someone's car keys on the ground and the only thing on their key chain that could help me identify the person to get their keys back to them was a CVS pharmacy card with a barcode on it. With hopes that they could scan the card to get the client's name and information to call them and let them know someone found their keys I went to this location to drop them off. I went in, it was around 11:30 at night, and the first thing I saw was three employees standing in the front of the store eating McDonald's while they greeted people. I was shocked. One of the girls who was stuffing her face with french fries asked me if I needed help. I told her that I needed a manager and she said that she could help me. I gave her a summary of what happened and that I was trying to turn in the keys so they could go back to their rightful owner. She took the keys from me and then did not speak to me again. Ok. I have a two-sided take on this company. During the day its always someone there who is rude or too busy to tend to customers. I just had THE WORST experience at this store. I went in to buy a pack of cigs to get change back on my card. However, the store associate named Lisa on 05/06/2013 at about 2:45pm today initially said "WHAT" when I asked for her assistance at the register. Secondly, she carded me for the cigs..that's fine its her job. But, when I asked to speak to a manager about getting the cigs she chuckled and said...we have 4 managers here that take your pick? I wanted to slap the paleness from that girl's face!! I can tell you one thing. The team that works during the night...the manager is an African-American woman. She's soooo kind and sooo helpful. She's a sweetheart. I mean very sweet to the last drop. If this view was all about the overnight crew and the manager that works most nights there, I'd give this review a 5. However, Lisa messed that up. So, my experience before work here is always a little rocky but never as rocky as it was today and I understand its primarily because they are busy. However, when I go in at night, the crew is so helpful and attentive. I guess that's because its less customers but either way. Good customer service is suppose to be a 24 hour thing. Hello Lisa???
