While these pharmacists are sometimes curt, it also just simply feels like you are an inconvenience to them when dropping off or picking up. This store stinks. I loved our old osco. The open cooler there is a JOKE. They have about 30 packages of cream cheese- all plain, light, spreadable, blocks....but NO BAGELS! They do finally have more than one kind of white bread, but who cares at this point? Osco had a great little produce area so I didn't have to schlep up to the jewel. No lemons or limes which would be helpful for the liquor they sell there. They have like 100 diferent kinds of container of nuts- and why? Shopping here is like shopping in a welfare store. They have 3 rows of clorox regular bleach, 3 rows of cvs regular bleach, but none of the scented stuff. This place is stocked like costco- we don't have what you want, but we a crapload of this. the set up is a joke and the waiting in line is maddening. I HATE going here. read more

The only reason someone chooses a CVS to fill prescriptions is because their company forces them. Go somewhere else if you can. read more

I had an issue with some ear wax that I had thought I took care of with some drops earlier in the week but the situation got worst to the point I could not hear out of that ear. So afraid that I might have an infection I decided to go to the Minute clinic knowing they do ear wax cleanings there. This was the nearest one to my neighborhood so I went right when they opened at 9 am. Out side of waiting more than an hour I thought I had excellent service. For 79$ not only did I get a regular checkup but they checked my ears for blockage and then the one that did have a heavy amount of wax they irrigated my ear out. The irrigation did help out but it didn't totally clean out my ear. The nurse recommend another dose of drops when I got home. I followed her instructions and that did the trick, I was able to hear again out of that ear. For the price and the free followup and I thought the Nurse was very professional this is a great deal to do some simple procedures like this instead of going to a regular clinic. Also my checkup came up roses, well except for that fact that she told me I have to loose some weight. I might go back for a cholesterol check. read more

I have lived in this neighborhood for 5 years and have never had such horrible pharmacy service. I saw my doctor today for bronchitis and she called in scripts for me. It's been 3 hours since my visit and I've now been told twice by the pharmacist (the same guy - once on the phone 90 min ago and just now in person) that we're really backed up today. What kind of excuse is that? I expect to walk in to my CVS - my neighborhood CVS and have my scripts ready. I'm really disappointed. read more

I had been checking the wait online and it was minimal, shorter than my 30 minute drive. When I arrived at 4:40 on a Thursday it was CLOSED. The closest one isn't drastically far, but if I would've known I have made an appointment. Now I have a 90 minute wait. read more

Literally every time my husband or I come here for prescriptions we have to wait forever and mistakes are made. They have taken 45-60 minutes to fill when no one else is waiting. They've told us it's ready and when we get here there's nothing. Currently waiting for one that was "ready" yesterday but then when my husband got here they couldn't fill it until the next day (need 30 days between fills) and to come tomorrow. Now I'm here and I've been waiting 10 minutes after the pharmacist told me there was nothing here, then said "give us a few minutes". We are never coming here again and I really caution anyone of using the pharmacy. read more

It's not just this CVS it's most of them. This place is a nightmare that I avoid as often as possible. The employees seem to be nice enough, but there's quite obviously a lack of management going on here. I also think they are trying to squeeze by with as few employees on as possible, which is just foolish. One. One more employee per shift would vastly improve this place. The only worse CVS I have been to is on Wabash and Monroe. During a good rain storm, this place floods near the front of the store. They have never fixed it since I can remember. At least once every year I will go into this store and nearly slip on wet carpet and the smell of mold is awful. Cannot be safe for employees. read more

It has everything, is open 24 hours a day, has a pharmacy that sells everything including more than likely stem cells, has an aisle dedicated to "As seen on TV" crap, and gives me coupons on my receipts. I like to come to this CVS when going on a long walk in the neighborhood. It's large and offer more variety than the smaller store a few blocks away. The aisles are very wide, so those in wheelchairs or pushing strollers will appreciate this. I love the fact that it offers some fresh fruit as a snack option and the minute clinic and the make-up counter gives it a department store look and feel. Of course I usually come when it's late evening and both sections are closed. Oh well, still a great location and REDBOX kiosk right outside gives it another perk and excuse for the long walk. read more

The only thing this CVS has going for it is it is big. It doesn't have self checkouts and I always feel like it's a fiasco when I'm there. The latest hiccup happened on Sunday when I wasn't allowed to buy Bloody Mary mix because they don't sell alcohol until 11am, news flash that is non alcoholic. The system wouldn't allow it and the cashier didn't understand that it does not have alcohol. read more

Listen CVS....I like you because you are huge and well stocked and the employees are nice. But keep a register open with a human being working it. Don't make everyone use the Self Check-out and throw the nice young blonde guy to deal with people that are either intimidated and or just want to have a regular person check them out. Yesterday there was a long line and a lady that had no idea what she was doing and she just wanted to be checked out by a regular cashier. The nice employee was trying to help too many people and the manager didn't seem to care what was going on up there. I'm tech savvy. But, not a lot of people are. Be considerate and leave a human cashier open for people that are not interested in using the self-checkout. Thanks, I'll keep shopping here. Stopped in see a doc in their Minute Clinic. Was third on the waiting list, seemed to take forever to see the female nurse-practitioner?, not a real doc methinks. Explained I'd had a fever, productive cough for a few days; she did a nose / ear /throat look-see and prescribed doxycycline (I'm allergic to cillins, sulfas, and quinolones, which are considered dangerous in the UK and not talked about here in the states, the pharma folks have lots of influence let's just say). Great? NO, because the scrip was only for 6 100mg tabs. 'Standard' dosage is 2 100mg tabs per day X 7 to 14 days. Hmm.. What's wrong with this picture? I intend to complain very loudly to CVS Caremark management, request a full refund of all charges and a written apology. Let's see how far I get. I DO so love a good challenge! The Minute Clinic is great. Sometimes they are really slammed but they always take the time to help you. Regarding the pharmacy, they always had our scripts day of and were very good about proactively getting medicine in if they did not have it. Nice clean store too, with good merchandise! read more

Poorly maintained store, lights are dim, looks on the side of being dingy. The worst part though, is the pharmacy which sells medicine with a short shelf life. ASK FOR THE EXPIRATION DATE on the batch bottle your medicine comes from, not the date that they write on your bottle!!! PLEASE CHECK! I have gotten medicine that was not effective based on this issue. They fill a lot of prescriptions for older people, so they probably think they can get away with it, that no one will ask. Complain to their Consumer Relations bureau at 1-800-746-7287. Hopefully your complaint gets reviewed by their leadership team which hopefully takes complaints seriously. read more

This CVS is very convenient for me and I stop frequently. I enjoy using the self check-out lanes but they screw up from time to time and you are left waiting for associate. Most of them are friendly. The minute clinic was a life-saver for us when on a recent holiday my daughter came down with an ear infection. The regular doc was not open of course and I didn't want to drag her to the ER. Thank god for this place. We had a bit of a wait but once in had no more than 20 min before we were prescribed meds and done. The woman on call was very thorough too. I have found the pharmacy in this CVS to be extremely unfriendly and unaccommodating. I rarely review on yelp, but I have been thinking about how I can give feedback to and about this pharmacy for a long time. Lines are long. Folks at the cash registers are extremely slow. They often do not have my prescriptions in stock and seem bothered when I ask them to check other CVS pharmacies. Now that a CVS is open closer to my home, I will not use this CVS again. read more

Minute Clinic should be renamed "several hour clinic" Arrived at 12:45 and signed in and opted to have a text message sent when my turn was approaching since there were 2 people ahead of me. At 1:21 I got a msg to return to the clinic because "the practitioner will see you soon". When I arrived at 1:25 the sign on the door said she was at lunch and would return at 2:30. I have had nothing but excellent experiences at this CVS. The pharmacy department was excellent in resolving an issue instantly that two other CVS' and Walmart couldn't resolve. A+ for those guys. The selection of products they have goes FAR beyond the other CVS', amen since we all know CVS has the BEST coupons/deals. And the two times I checked out both of the men that helped me were great. The first male actually TOLD me all the things I could do to make this the least expensive visit. He applied my coupons and I walked out of there paying 0.00. He was energetic, enthusiastic, and it made me want to only ever deal with awesome check out clerks again. The second male who checked me out today I can't remember the name was awesome too. I purchased liquor and couldn't find my new ID but had my old one and so while I searched we had a convo about why the DMV punches holes in old licenses, and he even asked me if I thought he should call the DMV cause his new ID hadn't arrived yet and its been over 15 days. That's great customer service, in my opinion working in customer service for 10 years... when you ask someone for advice (nothing too intense) it makes the customer/patient/client feel like they come across as smart. Also, holding a conversation while I was searching for my updated ID made me find it faster because I always feel uncomfortable when I'm looking for something and the cashier just stares at me the whole time (basically like everytime I go to walgreens...). Either way, CVS employees as a rule (even other ones) always seem to like really love their jobs, they are helpful, and i've yet fingers crossed come across to meet one who isn't friendly and helpful. 5 stars! read more

This CVS has an employee in Health & Beauty that is just fantastic! Her name is Kia and I ask for her every time I enter the store - first thing! She has un-ending product knowledge about La Roche Posay and Vichy, two skin product lines that have never made my skin feel better!. Kia always remembers my name wherever I am in the store and really has a wonderful attitude. As for the Vichy & La Roche Posay she knows everything, can diagnose your skin in a minute, and is NEVER stingy with her samples like they are a department stores. She takes regular classes to keep up on the product lines (which aren't sold anywhere else in Chicago) and is never pushy with unnecessary products. So next time you visit store # 8751, ask for Kia she knows all about the specialized beauty products and can even help with the others as well. A true asset to the CVS Corp! read more

I went to minute clinic of this location 2 hrs ago and wasted 1 hr and half for nothing. Got there around 8:30 to sign up and luckily we were 3 in line. Waited 1 hr and half just to realize that the practitioner is not certified to do DOT physical. Wtf..minute clinic MUST list services depending on what practitioners can and can't do. It is a total waste of time for customers to sign up for service and waste time just to find out they don't really provide the service.. common sense... ridiculous read more
