I go to the store often and because it's further than most CVS is for me. Every time I'm in the store it is so well put together. I can find things, things are in stock. The Makeup section has plenty of selections. More important, I love a staff that "owns" their job. The cash registers were busy, probably because others have found what a great store this is, the cashier for those who did not want to self check out, was energetic, helpful and smiling at everyone. She (Patricia - Zi asked before leaving) kept an eye on the self-check out stands (at least 6, thank you) to assure shoppers were not stuck in those sometimes looping instructions that do not make sense. On her way over to the section she efficiently grabbed a hand basket placing it where it belonged. It's uplifting to visit a store that is pulled together and cared for by the employees. The attitudes in the pharmacy need an adjustment. The staff act like it's the biggest burden to fill my prescriptions. After waiting my turn in line, there was a prescription missing. The first tech asked me to step into a different line where a different pharmacy tech found it in 15 seconds. I was then asked to step back into the original line that was now 4 people deep to actually receive it. I'll go fill at Walgreens for now. I stopped by the CVS minute clinic to get a simple test and I assumed quick test. I made an appointment for 5:50pm and checked in 10 to 15 mins before my appointment. I got the confirmation text letting me know I was checked in and I proceeded to wait to be seen. The waiting area wasn't too busy and only a few people ahead of me. I watched as they all got called up and I thought I'd be called up next. There were a new crop of people that sat and waited for their time to see the staff. I started to slowly watch all of them get called up, literally people that came in well after me were called up. When I finally got called up it ended up being a quick appointment. It really wasn't worth the wait. I think this location is great if you have the time to wait and need simple vaccinations. read more

I was in CVS today. And I wanted to buy a new perfume for my mom, so there was one that wasn't in a box and I took off the top to smell it because I am not going to buy a perfume without smelling it first. One of the workers came over and started yelling at me telling me I had to buy it and was almost forcing me out of the up to the register and wouldn't let me look for any longer. The perfume was over $25 and I didn't have enough money with me to get anything else for Mother's Day. This was just one of many horrible experiences at this CVS. It is a shame. I do not recommend going to this CVS and instead the Jewel Osco across the street. I will not be going back. read more

Pathetic - my complaint is about access to life sustaining medications. They could care less. The online Customer Care says I have approval for a 90-Day Supply at a reduced price. In store they say I can only get a 30-Day supply at full price! In a live telephone conversation - the Pharmacist suggests his closing the Pharmacy for lunch break is more important than investigating why I can't get my life sustaining medication! read more

this review pertains to the pharmacy...i have 7-12 prescriptions that are renewed on a monthly or 90 day basis, and sometimes new ones and they just kept sending texts and there is NO LONGER A WAY TO SPEAK WITH A PHARMICIST WHEN YOU CALL. switched my 1k-2k's worth (no kidding) a month's worth of scrips to osco across the street and osco is not understaffed and always answers the phone when i get i text i don't understand. By far the worst pharmacist I've ever encountered... he clearly undervalues his customers and employees, every time I have gone there he has been nothing but rude. I asked a question at pickup and the lady helping me went and asked the pharmacist and he told her what to do, she did that and it didn't work so then he came over and proceeded to mansplain to myself and his employee what she was doing was wrong even though he was the one that told her to do it. Recently moved to the area and this has become the most convenient and friendly pharmacy I have ever been to. They can get a bit busy at peak times so the wait may be longer but even so, they have always taken the time to help me locate my prescription after a move and a name change. If you love waiting, never getting status updates on your online prescriptions, never getting to speak with a pharmacist because they never answer the phone and want to still wait 30 minutes for a prescription (*not including line wait time) when they actually do update the online status of a prescription and it isn't actually ready. Oh and if you are super lucky their system will go down or the tech will have no clue on how to check someone out. This is the last time I will bother with CVS. The Jewel pharmacy directly across the street will suffice. This problem has been consistent prior to COVID unfortunetly. I've been coming to this location for weekly rapid covid testing (for my job) and have found it to be super convenient. I schedule a testing time through the CVS app, arrive at my scheduled time and park right in front in the designated covid testing parking spots. The staff have been pretty prompt and I get my results within 30 mins - 2 hours, which is pretty quick compared to other places! read more

I have to say, this pharmacy is by far the worst one that I have ever gone to. The only thing they're good at is lying about how long it'll take to fill your prescriptions and then act shocked when you're there on time & confused about your prescription not being ready. First time I went, I dropped off a prescription and said I would be back before they closed that day to pick it up. I ended up not making it back, but because they had planned to have it ready that day I figured it HAD to be ready the next morning. So I come back and they tell me they need 20 more minutes on it. I'm in a hurry but I didn't want to walk home just to turn around and walk back, so I walked down to Starbucks down the street and got a coffee. It probably ended up giving them even longer than 20 minutes, but when I came back she told me that they actually need another hour now. Ever since this first experience, something like this has happened every single time. If they tell me it'll be ready in an hour, I would either add on another full day to that hour. Otherwise, you probably won't get your prescription until you show up in person and then, and only then, can you expect it to be ready MAYBE an hour or two after that. Who would've known that dropping off and picking up prescriptions had to be a 3-4 step process? Judging by the other reviews, this has been common practice from this pharmacy for awhile. Maybe they should take a look at what their pharmacy can't seem to handle that every other pharmacy in the world is capable of??? read more

This pharmacy is a nightmare. I'm sure the pharmacists and staff do the best they can, but the service is terrible and trying to get prescriptions filled there is always an ordeal. Even when they say it's ready, it's never ready. They once made me go back and forth to another pharmacy 3 times before the other pharmacist intervened and made them get it together. I was overjoyed when I finally switched to the Jewel Osco pharmacy across the street. They are so nice and helpful over there. I've never had a problem, nor had to wait long for a prescription. For a long time I was frustrated with the CVS coupon policy where you can't use the coupon if the item is on sale. I have changed my opinion because sometimes the company lets you use multiple coupons you have added to your card. So sometimes I pay a lot or other times the price is greatly reduced. Also to be fair the employees are just about as nice as they can be. read more

I've sat on hold with this pharmacy for over 2 hours, and they've hung up on me both times. Truly abysmal service. I can't understand being this incompetent at a basic task like picking up a phone. They will waste your time & not feel bad about it in the slightest. Not knowledgeable of their own online booking system either. Staff need more training for this reason. Online you can search by vaccine, a list of locations where that vaccine is available pops up, & once you get there you are only to find out they haven't had it available in months. No back-up plan in place to locate it elsewhere either, you literally just have to book an additional appointment & cross your fingers they're telling the truth. Go elsewhere if you can! read more

They have great stock in the store, and usually the store is very clean. But the Pharmacy is absolute trash. I use this pharmacy because it's the least out-of-the-way pharmacy for me to go to. But ever since I've been going here I've had troubles. Not only does it take them several hours to fill a prescription, sometimes they don't even have it in stock. --- How does a pharmacy not have medicine in stock, isn't that the entire purpose of a Pharmacy? This has happened to me multiple times here. Above that, everytime I come here it seems there is a swarm of angry customers. If you: Like having your medicine. Like having your medicine on time. Unfortunate experience. CVS's website and signs around the store say that walk-ins are welcome for Covid vaccinations. When I was there, there were no customers present. First I was told I needed to make an appointment online but there weren't any available for the next two hours. When I mentioned their " Walk-ins Welcome" advertising, I was told that it would be an hour because there were two people ahead of me though there were still no other customers visible. I just picked up my blood pressure meds a 30day supply and paid 37.23. That was insurance pricing too. I called a major big box membership warehouse and the same meds were 17.45 almost a $20 dollar SAVINGS. Oh and I found out I don't need to be a member to get the savings. Horrible pharmacy. They are inefficient, sloooooooooooow, and rude. It took 4 months to get a prescription to auto-refill. The pharmacy line is also awkward, because it takes them approximately 10 minutes to ring up each person picking up a prescription, and everyone behind you scrunches up and invades your personal space and can hear the conversation between you and the pharmacist about your prescriptions - they really need a sign that says "wait behind this line or something" because it's an invasion of privacy AND all the people with swine flu cough on you. I actually get anxious just thinking about having to fill a prescription because it is such an ordeal - but it is the only one within walking distance for me. read more

I like this CVS because I can find a much larger variety of seasonal stuff than I can find at either Osco or Walgreens. I was able to find a neat Santa hat for only $4.99. However, I wish it was still an Osco because the layout is confusing as hell and I don't like having to wait in one big long line to get to the registers. Its like all the other old CVS. I rather prefer the new Walgreens, but hey, this is closest drugstore to me so can't complain about appearances. What I do have a problem is that this isn't a truly 24 hour pharmacy. The store is 24 hour, but not pharmacy. I needed to buy a box of OTC decongestant (at 11pm) as my GF was sick and couldn't sleep, but when I got here, I couldn't purchase the decongestant because the Pharmacy wasn't open. The real 24 hour CVS Pharmacy open was about 2.5 miles away. Luckily I went to Walgreens website and found a pharmacy open 24 hours (One on Belmont and Broadway). As for the retail portion, its nothing special. Lines can be long as they make you use the automated machines even if there is a employee behind the counter. read more

I only shop at a CVS store if I can't find a Walgreens or they are out of what I need. I stopped in this store when in the area to find something that seems to be a little difficult to find. Pleased to find the item, I happily stepped over to a checkstand (only one; the rest were all those robot stands). I gave the clerk my rewards # and it didn't go thru. I asked her to try again and she told me it didn't work. I don't think she even bothered to do it again. I finally just said "Ok, I'll go try it at a machine," whereupon, it worked immediately. It wouldn't matter to me that much, but in order to get the rewards coupons, which I actually use - you must fork over your rewards card number. I guess I understand now, why these firms want to replace people with gadgets. read more
