Their service has steadily declined in the last 6 months and now it is impossible to talk with someone on the pharmacy unless I go in person. It seems CVS can't refill any of my meds without my doctor having to call in or get authorization. Nothing on my end has changed. Also, the current staff don't seem as knowledgeable when looking into my account to correct insurance errors/ info. Probably going to switch pharmacies soon. read more

Really terrible. Went for passport photos. Called ahead and was told we could get photos. Waited in regular line as no one was around. Only to get to the counter for them to say their camera is broken. Would have been nice to put a sign on the photo center saying it's down... or have it noted when you call. Very disappointing service . Horrible customer relations. I have come here for over 5 years but the last 18 months services have deteriorated and the staff is not helpful. I will get all of my and my families prescriptions filled elsewhere from now on. Don't know what is wrong at that place -- but to let me wait for four hours to get painkillers for a nasty nerve in my tooth is criminal. No apologies, no help, nothing to tie me over in my pain. I called to request a refill for Jardiance and received a text confirming it was ready for pickup. After picking it up and returning home, I discovered that instead of Jardiance, I received One Touch Verio test strips, which I did not order. The refill was requested through the automated phone system. I contacted the CVS manager, Sam, who informed me that they could not issue a refund, even though I had just picked up the item 15 minutes prior, and it remains factory sealed. Extra note, before I got Sam, the woman who answered refused to provide her name. (lame excuse that I was talking rudely, I only spoke slowly and clearly because she said she couldn't hear me, so she said that I was rude...lol) Both had a careless attitude. Do NOT go to this pharmacy unless you literally have no other option. I had so many issues with this pharmacy when we used to go to them - filing insurance under the completely wrong name, filing insurance incorrectly, losing authorization. We switched to 501 Pharmacy and have never had a problem but because 501 is small, occasionally they'll request CVS to fill it. It can never just be an easy process and the techs that work here are not helpful and do not know how to competently do their jobs. Avoid. read more

Signed up to receive a pcr covid-19 test. Upon arrival saw conflicting signs of where to go. Parking lot signs equated the rapid and pcr test. I went into the trailer on the outside and was unpleasantly greeted by staff. I was told to wait until I was called. I never received any information about receiving a call. After my appointment time staff came out and asked me which test I signed up for. I indicated pcr and was told to go to the drive thru pharmacy line. I'm not sure why the rapid and pcr test are not given at the same place. Makes no sense. At least have Clear directions. A very disorganized cvs. read more

After having such a bad experience yesterday at Walgreens in Carboro it was such a joy to just drive over check in when I got there and get my Covid shot with ease. I'm shocked that this pharmacy even has 1.5 stars, because that implies at at some point in the history of the world, someone must have rated their experience as simply bad instead of the utter, soul killing horror that spending even one moment in this pharmacy invariably is. I hate this pharmacy so much that when I found out I was going to have to come here because my prescription is not available at any other CVS in the Triangle, I actually debated whether it would be preferable to suffer without my medication for a few days, and one of the side effects of missing medication is that my hair literally falls out in clumps. Still worth it, potentially, but here I am, waiting with all the other chumps who thought it was worth patronizing this hellscape of a CVS. There were five people in front of me in line, and somehow the pharmacy "didn't have a chance" to fill out their prescriptions either. So we are all sitting here, in what feels like the pharmacological equivalent of Dante's third circle of hell, while the Pharmacist and staff do whatever it was that they DID have a chance to do. My money's on filling out the latest Cosmo dating quiz (if that's still a thing), but I also would be surprised if they are all back there updating their resumes because they hate to be here as much as I do. read more

Worst pharmacy I have ever used and I have used pharmacies in all sorts of facilities. I am not quite sure what the problem is (bad computer system, no training, unprofessional staff, no management), but everything that can go wrong has gone wrong: they keep dropping the cards we have on file, they lost my husband's insurance information after using it several times before, they refill for the wrong number of pills, and I can go on. I am hoping things can improve because living in this zip code does not leave us with many options and my insurance would only allow CVS for the specialty drugs that I have to have. read more

I went there to get free covid test kits through my insurance. I was told that I was not eligible, but my daughter would be if she called in. My daughter called and was on hold, as I could hear that "there is a caller for pharmacy on line", while 4 members of the pharmacy were present and would not answer the phone. When I asked them to pick up the phone, they told me they were busy helping customers! I told them that I was the customer and my daughter is holding the line. They finally told me to sit down, so that they could answer the phone! While I sat down, they finally answered the phone after 10 minutes. Then they told my daughter that she would not qualify for free test kits, even though she has Blu Cross. read more

Had an experience today 2-22-2022. Had to pick up two refills and CVS never looked to see if there was a new prescription for the pills. They did an auto renewal. As it turns out both prescriptions were changed by my doctor One was a reduction from 3 pills to 1 pill per day. Another from 150 pill to 100 pill They never picked it up. Very disturbing They did have the new change in their computer but NEVER looked at it. Also the person behind the counter was filling prescriptions and taking care of 2 customers at a time. He made mistakes while I was there. This had to be addressed but don't know who to report this to. read more

I was here for cold medicine at 2 pm. Was told they were closed for lunch and I could do the drive through. In the meantime, I selected three beauty items. At the cashier, the total seemed high. Turns out I was overcharged for two of the three items, which required redoing my simple purchase twice. Then I got in the drive through to get the cold medicine, and after waiting ten minutes, once at the window, I was told I had to come back inside. Where do I begin? Let's make a Long story short (no pun intended as, you will have to wait a Long time for them to answer phone (one time I was on hold for over 30 minutes, I stayed on the line and drove there, waited in the pick-up line and got my script and was still on Hold!!! We're talking over 45 minutes on hold.) You'll also have to wait a Long time in line, indoor or outdoor. I think we all know that CVS charges more than any other pharmacy in the vicinity. We have insurance. CVS charged $212 for one RX, Harris Teeter's cost for same RX $8.43!! Really?!? The final straw was the 'attitude'. Not once, multiple times. If you google nearby pharmacies, you will see the rating for this store is as low as you can go. I noted that 501 Pharmacy had 5 stars. I've never been but, I think I will shop at a 5 start pharmacy. read more

I have tried to use CVS at Chatham Crossing several times for services other than prescription refills--they do fine with refills for me. However, their attempts at providing medical care are terrible. The most recent (but not only) example: I happened to be there to pick up a scrip and thought I'd sign up for my COVID and Flu shots. Went on to their site and went through the whole questionnaire and was given an appointment for 1 hour later. I indicated my DOB, and that other than age above 65 I was not immunosuppressed. The site told me to bring my insurance cards. Rather than go all the way home and come back, I waited outside for the hour and then checked in. The employee went through my check-in and told me I needed my vaccine card, that a photo of it was insufficient. This was not on the registration information. Then he said I was not eligible because at that time they were not offering boosters for age only. CVS should never have given me an appointment if there was a hard stop. The registration form should have indicated I needed my vaccine card. This ended up wasting my time. The employee basically said "too bad". The failure to give any care to the patient's time is ridiculous and could be fixed with some very basic changes in their website. I've since moved all of my prescriptions to 501 Phar read more

Yesterday I went in for a shingles vaccine. I waited for over 10 min before I was help by a person at the pharmacy. Then I waited another 30 min for the pharmacist to give me my vaccine. There were 2 chairs close together. One was visibly dirty with construction debris. The other looked ok but I have no idea when it was last cleaned. I did not want to sit down. I wanted to stand. This pharmacist told me that it is CVS policy that you sit down while getting vaccines. I am a Registered Nurse and don't understand during this day and time why I would be forced to sit in a chair that I don't want to sit in and be exposed to who know what? I had my husband clean the chair, the pharmacist said she would but I didn't want her setting my injection on the counter or in her pocket. I told her I wanted him to do it. There was too much paperwork to touch and it's seems as if this CVS, is more concerned with protecting their employees than their customers. There was also people in the store with the mask below their nose. I hope I never have to go back!!! read more

I have found they go out of their way to provide excellent service. Bottlenecks can occur at the drive up since one is full service and one is Prescription only. For safety they inly care for one window at a time. If there is a line if cars, I either go inside or come back at a less busy time. read more

Worst experience ever. I moved six months ago and moving my scripts from the Cary location to the Chapel Hill location has been rough. Today was the worst. I called CVS Chapel Hill to request a refill for an active prescription and was put on hold for 25 minutes. Finally I get through and the lady (speaks with accent) tells me that she can't fill the script and that I need to go to the Cary location because she doesn't see the script in their system and that it's not a CVS script. She then tells me that someone else will assist me and puts me on hold. I am waiting and waiting and no one gets on the phone. Finally I drive 16 miles to the pharmacy and walk into the store while I am still on hold. After being on hold for over an hour, I finally meet a competent person who is able to "find" the script in the system. Now I am sitting here waiting. They said it should be ready in 25 minutes. It just shouldn't be this hard to get medicine. CVS is the only pharmacy around and every time I go here, I see frustrated customers. read more

Not a fun place to deal with. I have had several frustrating experiences with this pharmacy, but let me share what happened today. I called in and had the usual 30-minute wait (their phone system is a huge time suck and the options don't allow you to reach a pharmacist promptly) before a pharmacist came on the line. She kept claiming she couldn't hear me, so I asked her to call me back. She told ME to call back when I had better phone service ... and promptly hung up on me! I called back and had ANOTHER 20-minute wait before a different pharmacist came on the line. The purpose of my call was to get the lot number for a prescription that I have, because there has been a RECALL of that drug. I don't know why the Lot # isn't on the bottle - but it should be (this is another frustration). The pharmacist told me that they contact all customers whenever a drug recall is implemented. So I asked for the Lot # because I wanted to be sure. He then got snarky with me and repeated that I would have heard from them if there was a problem with the prescription. His tone and manner were offensive and dismissive. My request was reasonable - I simply wanted the Lot #, but he wouldn't provide it and instead made me feel like an annoyance. I wish I didn't have to use this place - I get most of my meds from a mail order pharmacy so I avoid this one as much as possible. read more

I registered on the kiosk in CVS, and didn't receive any other prompts to put in information. I sat and waited for half an hour... someone else registered and their name popped up on a list. I waited another 30 minutes for the PA to finish her 9am scheduled eye exam on the first patient. I asked the provider about the wait list before the second patient walked in and she said I will take you next if you register again now. That was not true. I sat and waited patiently for the second patient to finish and the provider walked out and said she would take the lady who registered 30 minutes after me before we could be seen. After waiting about 90 minutes the Nurse Practitioner saw us, and did an excellent job evaluating my daughter. Unfortunately, her computer froze while she was attempting to finish the visit...... read more

I would give NP (nurse practitioner) Bailey no stars if possible. I will give her 1 because she did administer the flu shot to my wife. The NP seen on December 14 at 4:40pm was very disrespectful. My wife was in extreme pain from a sinus infection and had to miss my 13 year old's basketball game to be seen. She suffers from chronic sinus infections and the NP REFUSED to give her any medication for the pain. She did question my wife's OTC regimen and verified that my wife (and mother of 4) actually knew how to administer OTC medicine to herself. She did recommend Pseudoephedrine even though my wife had informed her that she was already taking pseudoephedrine. This was a LAST RESORT visit, and will be the FINAL visit at this CVS Pharmacy for a LONG, LONG time. read more

Fastest pharmacy ever! The transferred my Rx from Naval and had it filled in 5 minutes :)

Minute Clinic had long, long wait over an hour and wasn't necessary. Physicians Assistant complained about being busy. Unprofessional. Billing issue, charges not resolved satisfactorily. Upon call to customer service, they were defensive and not professional. I am removing my prescriptions also, as prices cheaper elsewhere. read more
