We are all entitled to our own opinions right? Well here's mine: Location: 5 Parking: 5 Decor/Ambiance: 5 Customer Service: 4 Open 24:7 ... that's right seven days a week twenty four hours a day... and in Durham! The best thing smoking in this area. This location is always clean. And they are always stocked with everything I need. The staff is friendly and the location is kool. I'm just excited about it being open 24 hours a day. I wish the hot bar in the Asian bar was open 24 hours a day. read more

The Meadowmont Village Harris Teeter in Chapel Hill, store #120, is OK (Yelp three stars). Our Chapel Hill home is equidistant to this Harris Teeter and the Hope Valley Commons Harris Teeter in Durham, store #224: https://www.yelp.com/biz/harris-teeter-durham-2. We prefer the Hope Valley Commons Harris Teeter to this one because, as described in my review for that location, the Hope Valley Commons Harris Teeter generally has had fresher product and a wider variety of inventory to choose from compared to this store. It's not that this Harris Teeter is bad. I also have to mention the service both my wife and I have experienced at this Meadowmont location has been worse compared to the Hope Valley Commons location. Worse both in terms of staff attentiveness/competency and politeness/friendliness with the cashiers/self-checkout lane attendants. Not to say I haven't had great interactions with staff here because I have, but I'm just speaking in general. Meadowmont Village is nice. We go to this Harris Teeter if we're nearby and it's convenient. When my wife has worked at the hospital, she's often stopped by this Harris Teeter because it's on the way home. Also living in Atlanta, I haven't bothered obtaining a VIC card. Maybe I should. My Kroger Plus Card works at this Harris Teeter. I'm not sure if it has the exact same benefits as a VIC card, though. In the Kroger app, when I search for stores nearby, all the Harris Teeter stores pop up as if they're Kroger. Kroger has been the parent company of Harris Teeter since 2014. The Kroger app shows me everything I've purchased at Harris Teeter, as long as I scanned my Plus Card at checkout. Also, the Kroger app shows me what's currently on sale at Harris Teeter. Where the Kroger app fails is showing me the weekly ad for each store. In this case, even if I have the Meadowmont Village store selected in the app, when I tap on Weekly Ad, the ad for Kroger stores in Atlanta pops up. read more

I appreciate the safety measures this HT has put into place for Covid. There are plenty of cleaning materials upon entrance and they made more room to get around. The one thing I'd suggest is providing some more room around the produce section, where people tend to linger. Otherwise this is your standard HT with nice staff, tons of selection and the occasional good deal. read more

The HT in Meadowmont is just not the same since it was acquired by Krogers. Things are constantly out of stock, choices are limited, prices have gone up and some aisles are disorganized and cluttered. One can't continue to blame the pandemic for inventory mismanagement! Not having basic staples like bananas two times this week seems to indicate deeper issues!!! Take a look at these pics taken today. Being as our family recently moved into the Meadowmont village area, we frequent Harris Teeter almost as often as our other common shopping area, Super Target. The convenience of having this place quite literally RIGHT across the street, however, is wonderful. I had never heard of a Harris Teeter before moving here. The name threw me, and honestly for the longest time we kept butchering the name (our favorite has been "Hillery Tillery Tweeter"). Quite frankly I can't say I've been to a nicer grocery store in my short 28 years of life! Everything is clean, organized, and well-kept, the produce is local and SO fresh, the selection is phenomenal, and the beer and wine selections in themselves are fantastic! It has a cross between "hometown" and pricey/upscale vibe going on. Initially I was afraid that the prices would be out of this world, but with a VIC card and their HT brand (just as Target has Up & Up), you end up with really great deals! The local produce is really well-priced as well, but my views may be skewed, as we were moving from an overseas military base and their "fresh" produce prices were exorbitant. The customer service and staff are wonderful - never had a bad grocer, and everyone's always so friendly with our 9-month old! read more

I visited self check out yesterday when I redeemed an unexpected $7 (who-hoo!) that ended up leaving my balance in the negative (or refund so to speak). I asked the blonde short haired female employee that was overseeing the area to help me to which she rudely responded "what did you do?" As if I was bothering her. As if it wasn't her actual job to help. I was literally taken back. There's no need to be that rude and disrespectful to customers. All I wanted to do was check out and leave. 1/5 stars! read more

Oh gracious Harris Teeter at this location. My experience with it meant pancakes or other baked goods. It usually had multiple options on how to make the pancakes as well as had available fruit to add. It gave me the coconut juice I so cherished. Though our time was short, its stock was ever plenty! This place is fabulous for always being open and having the ingredients that I needed at worthy prices. This location is near plenty of other businesses if you have other errands to run. It is easy to get to off of 54 by turning on to Meadowmont Lane. read more

The Harris Teeter in Meadowmont is not only incredibly convenient, but the staff there goes above and beyond helping each person. From the floral to the pharmacy - this is my favorite go to store in Chapel Hill, and as I can walk to it, makes it even better! read more

I have been going to this particular Harris Teeter for almost two years now. It is a great place to shop but it can get very busy during lunch time with UNC and several retirement communities nearby. If you are a fan of Harris Teeter this is one you will probably like. My biggest complaint about this particular Harris Teeter is the fact that the touch screen on the Redbox is a disaster. There are many times I want to get a movie for under $2 but I do not have the patience to deal with the completely messed up Redbox. Other than the Redbox I have no complaints. There is also a nice Starbucks attached to this Harris Teeter that has outside seating. In fact, I am typing this particular review from that Starbucks. read more

I am originally from the CH area and this place is still great after all these years; staff was very friendly and helpful. It is also great that they have parking spaces for veterans that are closer to the store. In addition, they accept Kroger card. They are open 24 hours and the area is very safe (as always). An average grocery store, have the usual items. The produce section has both organic and regular options which is nice. They have a couple areas with things you can try, usually strawberries, pineapple, bread and some spreads. The staff...hit or miss for sure! Some days I've met some great folks who say hello as you shop and other times (usually at the register) they're cranky as ever!
